I was referred to A Better Sound for TV installation's in my previous home and was impressed with…read moretheir outstanding customer service and pricing. So when we built a new home, of course we reached out to Josh and his staff for our Home audio/video needs which included a home theater system. I had also read a previous YELP review which made me a little nervous and I discussed that with Josh the owner. He addressed each point the previous dissatisfied customer mentioned and being a small business owner my self, I believed his responses. I am glad we discussed things and the scope of our job. They met or exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the job and finished on budget and even more important, on time. We have had zero issues with the job and the owner has reached out on multiple occasions to see if everything was still performing as promised and to see if I had any questions or concerns. I subsequently referred them to a friend and they came thru with flying colors on their home theater system as well. Tremendous communication, customer service and fair pricing. I would highly recommend A Better Sound for all home audio/video needs.

Their costs came in 2x the estimate, and then they never completed the job. Took all the money and then never returned calls or emails for 6 months where i was then forced to finish the job myself. Wires were mislabeled, connections were never finished, parts were paid for and never installed, wires are buried in walls and never pulled out. And lastly during the building process, they were never reliable in when they would show up and would take constant requesting to get them to the job site. TERRIBLE SITUATION.....and out of the 25 sub contractors involved in our new home, was the ONLY one that we had ANY issue at all with. Their response? to yell and send nasty emails to the customer (me) and blame me for all their issues and non complete work.. UNBELIEVABLY BAD BUSINESS.... AVOID.

I entered the following search terms in Google: "traverse city digital passport photo". Google listed three businesses under the "Places" label, one of which was The Copy Shop. When I drove to the Shop, however, I was told it doesn't provide digital passport photos. Granted, this may not be the Shop's fault. I expected Google to list businesses which satisfied all five "search" words. Google may have been programmed to display those which satisfy even just a few of the words. Nonetheless, the result was a wasted trip. So beware: if you use Google to locate businesses which provide a service, and it lists The Copy Shop, call the Shop to verify it offers the service before driving there.
