Don't trust Google to present the services provided by The Copy Shop. Case in point: I needed a…read moredigital photo to renew my passport. I entered the following search terms in Google: "traverse city digital passport photo". Google listed three businesses under the "Places" label, one of which was The Copy Shop. When I drove to the Shop, however, I was told it doesn't provide digital passport photos. Granted, this may not be the Shop's fault. I expected Google to list businesses which satisfied all five "search" words. Google may have been programmed to display those which satisfy even just a few of the words. Nonetheless, the result was a wasted trip. So beware: if you use Google to locate businesses which provide a service, and it lists The Copy Shop, call the Shop to verify it offers the service before driving there.

In addition, we were advised that our server computer would not function and would soon "crash" if not replaced. As such, I allowed them to replace it only to find out since dismissing them, that the server they installed WILL NOT function with the business software. So now, I am in the position of having to correct an error on their part in incorrectly assessing our computer needs. It took 3 months of wyant researching the error codes to have no success. It took 30 seconds on the phone with the business software company to find out the server is not designed for our program. It also causes concern that it took me discontinuing their services with our company for them to became willing to have the problem addressed by one of their "higher level" techs. After having them discontinue services, it took an additional month for them to remove all Wyant software from the computers. I paid $38 to be handed an envelope of blank gray rectangles and then told it was my fault…read more I dropped off a disposable camera for development. A week later I picked up my prints, went to my truck, and opened the envelope. Multiple frames were completely blank. Not underexposed, not dark, just featureless gray. No image whatsoever. Several more were so faded they might as well have been. I walked back in immediately. The employee looked at the negatives and, rather than offer any acknowledgment or accommodation, told me I "needed more light" and should have "used a better camera." This response is both condescending and completely beside the point. My complaint was not that some photos turned out poorly... that's the nature of film. My complaint is that they printed and charged me for frames that contained absolutely nothing. Here's the part that's genuinely indefensible: at no point during the development process did anyone contact me to flag that a significant portion of the roll appeared blank. A five-second phone call like "Hey, several of these frames look empty, do you still want prints?" would have been the bare minimum of professional courtesy. They didn't make that call. They printed everything, charged me for everything, and then refused even a PARTIAL refund when I raised the issue. Charging a customer to print blank frames and then talking down to them about it is a remarkable combination of poor service and bad attitude. Do not bring your film here.
