I have a six year old laptop that crashed and needed a new cooling fan and keyboard. Mad Mikes was able to reload my computer, replace the fan and the keyboard and installed a solid state hard disk drive. It's like I have a new computer for a third of the price and it is FAST. The service was great, everyone is friendly and helpful, they provided an information sheet to get me started with all of the new technology that was reloaded and you can call anytime they are open and they will help you with after repair support. I stopped in with a computer glitch and was greeted and helped immediately. While working on my computer, he showed me exactly what was wrong and gave me several simple computer maintenance tips that I hadn't ever been told before. I was very happy with the service provided, for a reasonable fee. They were very knowledgeable and helped me understand the best approach to fixing my problem. Only small negative is that twice I was told someone would get back to me by a certain time and no one got back to me at that time, I had to contact them to get status. They still got the work done very quickly, I just would have preferred a more realistic estimate about when I would know something, because I was in quite a state without my laptop :). My grandson and I built a gaming pc and were having problems getting it to boot so we called Mad Mikes. The phone conversation was very friendly and they said that because it was Saturday they wouldn't be able to look at it but they would look at it on Monday. I took itto their store about 10:30 on the sameday (Saturday) and before I could even give the person behind the counter my name and address, the bearded gentleman, I didn't get his name, announced that he had fixed it and indeed he had. Now I hadn't purchased any of the parts for the pc from this company but they said that the fix was so minor that they didn't charge me for it. I dropped my laptop on a tile floor and the LCD screen was toast. I was already starting to go through internet withdrawal symptoms, since I had postponed my monthly bill payments and had all my info in my laptop. But I remembered the ads for Mad Mikes on the radio and TV and made a trip downtown to Traverse City, where the snow was piled so high I had to look twice for the driveway to the parking lot. After Mike looked at my laptop he quoted me a price and said he`d call me. I took it in on Valentines Day, a Fri. the 14th, and I was called on Presidents Day Mon. the 17th, afternoon and told it was ready. Shocker, when I went in to pick it up he informed me that he had replaced my keyboard and cooling fan and added the extra RAM I asked for, then told me the price was, as originally quoted, because I received $100 off as I was customer # 20,000!
