Where has Danielle been my whole life since moving to Washington state?! I've been in this state for almost 7 years and have been looking for a nail salon/technician that could provide me with the service I had grown accustom to while living on the East coast. Well, this quest has been equally frustrating and downright depressing. I finally just gave up two years ago because I grew tired of paying for my nails to be done NOTHING like how I requested and not being worth what I was charged. Instagram has truly spoiled me in knowing what stellar service SHOULD look like and I don't know if I am just too picky about my nails but Washington state is lacking on being up to date on the trends and the techniques of the nail beautification world. ***ENTER DANIELLE OF ELEVATE NAILS & BEAUTY*** I could go on and on about her service, work ethic, and style but anyone reading this review who is unsure of whether or not to book with her, JUST DO IT. You will not leave her chair disappointed--she prides herself on giving her clients what they want. She is very knowledgeable on the current nail trends and that is such a skill to have. But beyond the aesthetics of her nail work, she is VERY knowledgeable on hygiene and the use of LEGAL products that leads to safe and healthy practices on your nails. I had grown used to my nails hurting after receiving a full set of acrylics, Danielle let me know that was because of MMA usage and your nails hurting after should never occur. She was right! My first appointment was great. The lady was nice and the nail art was great. Cons the gel polish was not even the nail shape was definitely not coffin shape and she is not gentle when it comes to clean/filing the nails. Fast forward to second appointment she had to reschedule me because of an emergency fine completely understand life happens, but I had gotten the day mixed up on the rescheduled date so I missed my appointment. She required I had a deposit down for the next rescheduled appointment I didn't completely agree because it was an honest mistake, but fine whatever. Day finally comes we're I get my fill. She greets me everything is all good but the minute I said everybody at my work was starting to get sick and I wasn't feeling 100 she's like "oh we need to reschedule" I told her I wasn't sick which I wasn't and she makes me wash my hands and use hand sanitizer stating oh I don't get paid on sick days. Like really you think I do. I'm sick I get no pay either. She starts on my nails and is rough as shit. Another client comes in and she starts rushing even more. When I show he what I want she like "this isn't a nail art appointment too" which irritated me beyond belief because I stated I wanted it. So I end up leaving with no nail art and I had cuts all over my cuticles and it was painful to wash or even cook because of this. I paid over a $100 for nails I wasn't even that in love with. Come a month later I make a fill appointment somewhere else and the technician and myself she green under my acrylic. They cleaned and removed so much. I got fungus because she "repaired" it instead of removing the acrylic and starting fresh. I have been getting my nails done a little over 14 years and have never gotten fungus on them. I have gotten my nails done all over the world too and never experienced this. I now warn people not to go to get their nails done her stating what I experienced and am thankful that many now go to a lady I found in Tacoma who does amazing nails. Tl;dr - LOVE my nails and Danielle! Definitely check her out. I have been looking for a solid nail artist in Seattle since I moved here from Las Vegas. I desperately needed my nails done while staying on Bainbridge for the week, so I thought I'd look for places on this side and found Danielle in Poulsbo through Yelp. I double checked her work on Instagram and was impressed! I texted her to make an appointment and she got back to me the same day for an appointment 2 days later. Danielle is SO nice and so fun. She genuinely enjoys doing nails and art and liked that I let her have fun with the design. I walked in with my nails a disaster. I love gel polish, but I wanted length while waiting for them to regrow. She gave me a couple options and we decided to use tips with hard gel for now. She asked about the shape and length at every step, and let me know any time they were sticky so I knew not to use them at that moment. She loved my nailspiration and put 2 of the ideas I liked together for hand painted art. I LOVE my nails! The gel against the cuticles is so neat and clean, nail shape is perfect, and the art is adorable and exactly what I wanted. Highly suggest supporting this new-ish local businesswoman! I recently moved to Washington and was looking to do my nails since I had a nail tech back in California. I came across Elevate through Instagram and decided to make my appointment. She was nice and was sure to make my nails the way I wanted it but I did not expect to pay about $80 for nude, coffin nails which to me is basic and usually does not cost that much. I just ignored it and paid since I thought and hoped it won't cost this much next time. I agreed to book another appointment a few days before the Marine Ball and as she was starting to remove the color for a fill, she saw bruising on my pinky. Of course to all girls we always stub our nails and it hurts like hell and it wasn't a big deal for me since it'll grow out. Once she saw this she was asking me questions if I remember how it happened and of course I do not. I did not know I was suppose to track every incident that happens to my nails. So she say she won't be doing my nails because of some "hazard" thinking that she does not want to be responsible if anything happens if she continued her job. I was in shock. I definitely needed my nails ASAP for the ball and all she told me she recommended me to wait for it to grow and come back. I believe the ball was in 2 days and of course I wouldn't have time. Technically I feel she just didn't want to do my nails. So I was like fine, I'll go to another nail tech and asked if I wanted them off now or no. I thought if I said now i wouldn't be charged AS MUCH and she didn't do a soak off which most of my nail techs do. She just drilled them off and charged me $22 for it. WOW. That's when I decided I wasn't going back there again. Thankfully I found a nail tech the day after and I've been going there for a few months now. Overall I think Elevate is too overall priced. I got a full set of acrylics in August and was surprised by the awful customer service and the pricing. The lady kept talking about herself for on and on and on, and would ignore me if I said anything. I kept telling her she was hurting my cuticles but instead of going easy, she complained that I had "too much cuticles" and filed until I was bleeding a little bit. Then the lady told me the total was $70 but since I was a first time customer she would make it to $65. What a scam! The nails were average. This place is the worst experience I had at a nail salon and would not recommend anyone to go here. read more

After looking though her IG I knew her work was amazing. Super easy to book an appt, great communication. Cute little studio salon. I like it because Danielle is the only technician so your time is your time. She is thorough, professional and talks you through the process and makes sure you are getting the nails exactly how you want. I have had acrylics several times but always get them taken off because I would never get the same technician or the salon takes walk ins and then I get a rushed job, or if I wanted different colors on the nails or something extra, they made me feel like I would be taking too much time.
