This is a full contact car wash. Before you enter there are signs directing you to remove antenna and tow hitch, fold in your mirrors and more. They also state they are not responsible for after market items on your vehicle. That sign made me very concerned about the agressiveness of this car wash. No doubt they are for liability purposes. There are two lanes with gates. Pay at the kiosk before the gate and wait for the gate to open. If there is a line to enter the car wash the gate will delay opening. Also, the lanes alternate opening. A staff member was on hand to assist with operating the kiosk on the day of our visit. You choose your level of wash: basic through 'the works'. Two other staff members were using soft cleaning pads on long poles to wipe down exterior windows and vehicle fronts before entering the car wash. We were guided in by an attendent and instructed to put the vehicle in neutral during the ride through. The first set of rollers go over the front, top and back of the vehucle while spinning and a second set go across the sides a bit further in. After a quick rinse, wax was sprayed on the exterior before a final rinse and blow dry. The dryer sounds like a jet engine! The forward momentum of our vehicle was released as soon as we hit the dryer so be sure to shift into drive and slowly make your way through the dryer to get out of the next cars path. We won't come here again. All 3 stars are for the lady and young guy pre rinsing the cars, they did awesome! But we paid for the towel at the kiosk expecting those little microfiber towels to wipe down the interior, but instead we were handing a soaking wet kitchen towel that left red fibers all over the dash. I don't know why there are negative reviews on the site about this location. I have always had a great experience here and want to recognize the performance of the team at this location. I got my wife the unlimited monthly wash package. She has a newer vehicle And wants to keep the paint free of contaminants and Rohde grime. Since she hast to drive through construction zones every day that has become more important for us. We like to go earlier in the morning as there are not big lines at that time. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. No matter when we have gone they have been friendly and welcoming and done. A great job on our cars. I highly recommend this location. read more

Subscriber for years. Last week was a first. In the middle of the car wash my vehicle was hit in the rear by the vehicle behind me. The driver behind me failed to put his vehicle in neutral. Last week, I took my truck through the Pink Elephant Car Wash. During the wash, the employees did not turn off the top brush as they normally do for my vehicle (I've used this location several times without issue). As a result, the brush caught on my roof rack, pulling it off and causing part of it to be lost. Steve the employee was present at the time and acknowledged that the top brush had not been turned off as required. However, when I returned today to discuss the incident, Steve informed me that the owner Andrew Haney had decided the car wash was not responsible for the damage--despite the admitted oversight by the staff and admission the brush had not been turned off. At the time of incident Steve admitted they were at fault. Andrew the owner decided because the roof rack was an aftermarket part his car wash would not be responsible.Horrible customer service and I will never take any of our vehicles back to this car wash. read more

Adam and Quinn were on point. I felt like a high roller coming here. Washed my truck thoroughly. Adam's even washed out the bed of my truck! The quality of their work was above par. Stopped by the Maple Valley Elephant Car Wash while killing some time. My truck was filthy and really in need of a good scrub. I was greeted by a super friendly gentleman, named, Adam. He noticed that I had some leftover gravel in the bed of my truck. Then without me asking offered to pressure wash it out. This day and age I feel it's important to recognize great customer service! I have been going to the eco wash in Black Diamond but got a promotional coupon for a free wash from this company so I decided to give them a try. Sure enough when I got there and scanned my coupon the machine told me it was invalid. I checked to make sure it wasn't expired, it wasn't so I tried again and got the same results. I sat there for a few minutes trying to get someone's attention but I was just ignored. Here's a thought If your a company trying to get people to try your product, make sure they are able to with little to no stress. Back to eco wash I go. read more

With I could give zero stars. This place is a joke and waste of time and money. I just drove back from Lake Chelan and wanted to get the bugs off my windshield and front of my car. Went through the car wash and the front is still covered in bugs. Lastly, the track pushes you out of the wash/dry area quickly...literally maybe 7 seconds of dry time. With the heat we are having it dried into water spots. It's no wonder they have a 'tips bucket' at the beginning...before you can see the crappy results. Disappointed is an understatement. Forgot to mention, there is only one vacuum across the entire property...and...it doesn't work. Running a business like this is the fastest way to run it out of business. read more

So I use to think this place was good, but my past two experiences have proven this wrong. Last time I went and paid for the ivory wash they didn't get my tires as I paid for. What was worse, was that when I was coming out of the wash I had to slam my brakes on to keep the guy drying the car from being hit. I was still on the belt and the back of my suv kept on being lifted up by the belt. Don't really feel like being put in a position of keeping my car safe and running over the help... finally today, sat waiting while the guy sprayed the car off in front of me for almost ten minutes. Obviously helping a buddy out with a wash, but don't do it on my time. Update: gave some more stars. Have been back a few times and seem to be doing better. The only reason why I gave 4 stars was the card reader not working. It happened twice and my suggestion is to replace it. It being outside may be affected. Other than that, service has always been great and consistent. The boys are doing their best. Plus, the prices here are a lot lower than many other cities. Also, you get what you paid for. A professional detailing may be the solution for suv's needing more detailing. To me, this is a wash and go place. I've not had issues getting my suv cleaned. I, also, tip as the boys work in the hottest and the coldest temperatures. I can appreciate that the boys are working and not getting in to trouble. This used to be a great place to get oil changed and car washed. The last 3 times however has not been good. The guys have been grumpy and my 8 year old niece could wash my car better. $98 dollars is too much to pay for a simple oil change and car wash especially with grumpy service and a dirty car. Wow! My car looked like new! This was my first time using Elephant Car Wash & Express Lube in Maple Valley. I brought my very dirty car in for a much needed wash, vacuum and tire detail. I printed a coupon from the web, thinking my wash would be $13. Wrong! I received $12 off my Gold Level Wash, leaving me to pay $23.86. I was not prepared to pay that, but my car has not had attention for a very long time. A half hour later they presented me with a NEW car! It looked awesome! Worth every dollar! I have a smaller hatchback, used it to haul alfalfa, straw stuck to the back end of the interior. It was spotless! I am so happy with the end result. The staff was very friendly, hard working and detail orientated. I am now the proud owner of a very clean, like NEW vehicle with182,000 miles! I wondered why I had not done this earlier. It's been a long while since I've been to this car wash. When I used to go to this place they had a great crew that vacuumed your car, did the windows and at the end would dry it off, do the outside windows and shine the tires for you. I believe this is why I had quit coming to the place. Even before Covid, they went to computers and now there is just one guy that gives the front and back window a quick once over with the soapy brush. There wasn't even anyone there to dry it off and do the tires really quick. I seem to remember a couple of months ago they at least did the final parts. Total was $18.00. I can get a full scrub and run through the wash for $12.00 at Chevron just up the road. I will most certainly do that next time. I'd like to add that there was no friendly greeting or thank you during the entire process. This seems to be an owner problem with just a slight mx of finding good help these days. read more

For a pretty busy place, not all of the employees are too friendly. I got the gold package wash and not all of the perks included in the package were done on my vehicle. The only friendly employee was the cashier, but for the most part the other employees were not very talkative at all. For a $30 wash, my car was not clean to my liking and I would say they barely touched the inside of the car, even though that was supposed to be included in the package. Horrible service. I pulled up expecting to drop my car off and run to Safeway. But I was informed that they now require you to stay in the car. I asked about the wait and I was informed it would be 5-7 minutes. Well nearly 25 minutes later just pulling in for service. They told me they are switching to Valvoline and this is their process. They need to switch back. I don't have time to wait. And this was one of the reasons I used to go here. I could go grocery shopping and get my oil changed. I am so sorry to say that I had a very unpleasant experience at the Maple Valley Pink Elephant Car Wash today, April 4th, 2021. Unbeknownst to me I just found out that my car's braking system has a hard time going thru the belt. Once I heard and felt the churning and grinding on my wheels I rolled down the window only to hear the person attending me saying "You must have done something wrong". I would like to say the experience got better, but while the wheels were still lurching the next person was passive aggressive and was unhelpful to say the least. It looks like I won't be going thru the car wash with this car, but I would seriously say that maybe I would Never go to this location again. It's too bad, for I want to support our local businesses. I have been coming to this car wash for 10+ years and have gotten to know the employees and the owner. Any issues I have ever had with going through the wash I have been taken care of by the manager and owner. There isn't another car wash around the area that will do even close to a good job compared to the Maple Valley Elephant car wash. Very good experience her the other day. Pretty usual car wash experience up front: pay, guy sprays the car and scrubs a few spots, then through the wash machine. What really stood out to me, was Ricky in the post wash area where he towel dried my car. It was really, really busy in this area and he did an excellent job of directing cars so they could get their post wash service as fast as possible. He had a smile on his face the entire time and didn't rush the post wash detailing. Also, he made friendly, genuine conversation while he was getting the job done.
