We went here after doing the via ferrata at NRocks, followed by the nearby Seneca Rocks Trail. It was about 8pm when we arrived in Thomas and Davis. We first tried to go to a restaurant in Davis, but they were out of pretty much everything, but appetizers. The waiter there recommended we come here. So glad that we did because the food and service were amazing and the ambiance was also very nice. The area next to the restrooms was so cute and private (but we didn't sit there). We ordered the Paneer Masala fries and omg I wish I lived nearby to have this more frequently! My boyfriend isn't always a fan of Indian food, but he loved this as well. Then he got one of the burgers, which he enjoyed and I got the Kimchi Burrito with tofu. I love that the tofu was fried! The only weird thing about my burrito was the slivered almonds on top. While I appreciate the originality, it made me feel like pieces of the rice inside the burrito were uncooked, until I finally realized it was the almonds I was eating. Aside from that though, the experience was great and the portions were plentiful. We enjoyed trying to guess were countries were on their large Eurasia map behind the bar (from the tables it was real hard to read). I highly recommend this place if you're in the area! Great menu with fun spins on mainly Japanese fare though it didn't all come out perfectly and felt a little heavy. Nice bar and chill restaurant where you order and pay at the bar. Service was fine. It is fairly chilly inside so we kept our puffers on during our meal. We tried: - poutine appetizer with fried green beans and sweet potato and cheese curds. It has Japanese sweet mayo and gravy and a spicy sauce drizzled heavily on top. The fried green beans were great and the flavors all melded though it was a tad salty. - okonomiyaki waffle was a fun new take on a classic snack. It has the okonomiyaki flavor and came out with lots of bonito flakes. I thought the fried pork belly was too tough and charred. - the tonkatsu bento box was a bit disappointing. The California roll had dry rice, and the tonkatsu was a tad tough and didn't come with rice and consisted of two smallish nuggets. So this place was so good, the decorations were so worldly, I stopped here twice. The old fashioned was fantastic ($10) and so many more Cocktails I would like to try. The Ramen bowl with rabbit was pretty epic. I'd love to try more of their menu next time. It's semi self service type place. Get there at 5, few tables and it gets packed fast. Line up to order at register, grab the number after paying and gather your own cutlery, etc. Bus your own table. Service was good, but unfortunately servers seem exhausted from the restaurant being packed constantly. I mean the food is so good, unbelievable menu options, not much else in Thomas. I really hope they stay open for when I'm in town next, they just have some amazing dishes for the area. I wish them all the best. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back. Elenders was within walking distance of my Airbnb, and within a little strip of small shops and restaurants. Everything in this area is very local and not chain restaurant or store related. The restaurant itself had a very rustic but vibrant vibe with an entire sitting room that was gloriously comfortable. There were tons of beer, wine, and local beers on the menu. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. I went later in the evening so a smaller portion of the menu was available. I order 3 different bites to try and all were so flavorful and unique! Such a great place to hang out, have a few drinks, or to enjoy a delicious dinner! read more

Had visited this restaurant with high hopes after seeing the positive reviews. But, left disappointed. The ambiance is laid back and family friendly. The service is a mix of self service and order at the counter. There is no ordering service at the table. You order at the counter and find seating on your own. Then, get all the silverware yourself. Had seen shrimp curry in one of the pictures from a previous yelper. When asked for that item, it seems they dont have that on the menu anymore!!? Well, ordered what was in the menu: vegan shrimp malabar. What I got was nothing malabar, but a thai curry. It reminded me of massaman curry without the potatoes. Adding a bunch of coconut flakes does not make it malabari:-( Requested extra serving of rice and was denied. Also got veggie pakoras. The chili sauce served along with pakoras usually goes with dumplings or spring rolls and not with pakoras. The third item was a salmon waffle dish, which tasted fresh. Also ordered bento box and found it to be fresh but overpriced. Me and the party I was with found the naming of the items misleading and not representing what they really are. The place is at best, Asian fusion cuisine. Had ordered margarita and it never showed up. There were just two people managing everything and it appeared chaotic. Any additional ordering and payment has to be paid up front at the counter. There can be a wait because other customers may be lining up to do the same. If you are going there to have something specific, call before you head over there, since it may have been taken off the menu. read more

FANTASTIC!! I had some sort of whiskey sour with st. Germain that was absolutely delicious. My partner had the jalapeño mango margarita which was also amazing. For dinner we had an order of spring rolls, the shrimp tempura box, and the Nellie burger. Every single thing was delicious. The only thing was that one poor woman was host/server/bartender for the whole restaurant. Don't get me wrong, she was killing it, but it made it difficult to order comfortably. Fantastic place! Lots of character and things to look at in this relatively small restaurant in Thomas WV. Interesting menu choices which seem to rotate over time as we researched whether or not we wanted to give this place a try. Ordered at the bar. Food served at table. We tried the Crab Rangoon nachos which were tasty but with what we felt was too much of the sauce toppings and not a lot of crab. The Vegetarian Ramen was good but a bit too salty for us. Same for the Ramen with rabbit. The staff was friendly and responsive but I was a bit thrown by our server who doubled as the busser and would clear tables in between serving food and water. read more

We came here for dinner after a long day of skiing. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the carrot dip, winter salad, the salmon, and a burger. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The decor is super cute and cozy too. My wife and I decided to give this place a try as a good vegetarian restaurant. We loved it. She tried to get butter paneer but it was sold out, so she got the vegan tempeh banah mi and loved it. The tempeh and avocado was an unexpected but lovely combination. I got the okonomiyaki waffle and really loved it. The pork belly and mango wasabi mayo was a great flavor combination. We also highly recommend the umami poutine but be warned, the tempah miso gravy was a bit rich. read more

The front of the building is unassuming and unadorned, but don't let that fool you. Once you walk in it is a very warm and comfortable place. We were greeted immediately. We ordered burgers and were told the meat was local and ground that morning. It was fabulous, really fabulous! We also ordered a side salad that was very good. The care they placed in the food presentation was obvious. The pomegranate and cranberry margarita is a must try. There is an outside patio on the side that you can't see from the front of the building. We will be back. There were many other items on the menu we would like to try. A great experience. read more

This is our first time here and the service was terrible, we ordered our food around 5:30 and sat there for 2 hours waiting for our food and whenever we asked where our food was at they said it was on the way and just told us lies over and over again, we got to the point of almost leaving but as soon as we did the food began to arrive and once the food arrived it was really bad the food was not seasoned well and no one out of the 5 of us enjoyed any of the dishes we had the pork belly tacos, the burgs and the ramen, and honestly I don't understand how a restaurant can mess up a burger, the prices were astronomical too for the terrible and horrendous inedible food that we received, never again would you think 19 dollar burger would taste that bad Mcdonalds burgers were better than this. I will never recommend this place and suggest to stay away at all costs, not worth your time or money. Especially since they took 3 hours of your day for terrible food. read more
