Great local place. Thursday wing night with dozens of sauces! Burger and cheese steak are also top notch.

It's rich and tastes 1000% better than a regular hamburger, and it's healthier because elk is such a lean meat!

Service was prompt and the food arrived in a timely manner. Wings were spot on and delicious. Sweet Tea was excellent. Our server was very attentive and met our needs as well as tending to the bar area. Hope she is well compensated !! Will be back for sure if we are ever in the area.

Our second order of loaded NACHO cheese with Steak - they ran out of nacho cheese sauce. It was 7:45pm. Guess what, NO STEAK. Realized that later. 3rd time asking where the food was I was told no nacho cheese left. I said our 80 year old members were hungry and wanted Nacho cheese. I told them to cancel the order. They said they can't cancel the order as it was being prepared. I said what we ordered was NOT what they were going to be what we ordered. VERY VERY reluctantly they refunded the order in cash. They had an outdoor area where we were. 8-12 going children were rubbing around and screaming, running THRU the round tables we pushed together. IF THIS SOUNDS GOOD TO YOU, HAVE AT IT. I'LL NEVER GO BACK. Oh yeah in our party, others orders never showed up but some did. What a joke!

2.5 The thing about…read moresmall resort towns is that there isn't a thing... ya know? Things are what they are and if you don't like it... well... I don't know what to tell you. You're stuck. Oh, before I go any further, this was a pre-lockdown experience. I made my way to Garrett County in late fall. I was catching up with some of my oldest guy friends for a much-needed guys weekend. Being the Type A sort I am (and having never been to this part of the state before), I arrived earlier than everyone else -- much earlier. After gorging myself upon arrival on chips, Oreo cookies and Coca-Cola (a balanced lunch if ever there was one), I realized that I needed to eat something for dinner. I wasn't familiar with the area and the next shipment of attendees weren't showing up until midnight. Oh, and did I mention that I was at a lake house -- with a first floor of all windows -- by myself? And, it was snowing. AND I didn't have cell service. Yes, I was in a horror movie. Trying not to think about my impending doom, I found a drawer of menus and pressed my luck with an easy bet: pizza! In the real world, I have gluten issues. But I knew better than to come to a small(er) town with dietary restrictions and other needs. That was doing too much. Pizza, it was. The young lady on the phone was lovely and when she found out where I was staying, she had to get the okay for delivery (if that gives you any indication of how remote I was... and how I was going to have to fight for my life later). She got the ok and I ordered a pepperoni, sausage and onion pizza. No problem. I was charged a king's ransom for delivery and quoted a long time for arrival but I was alright with both things. I was off the grid, it was snowing and was thankful for any sort of delivery options. After a while, the food eventually showed up. The driver was polite. I paid, tipped and thanked him and I was ready to dig in to the first non-gluten-free pizza I'd had in a while. Despite the oncoming gastric distress, I was looking forward to the familiar taste of flour-y goodness. Imagine my shock and disappointment with what I received. It was not good, y'all. In fact, it may have been some of the nastiest pizza I'd had in quite some time. You see how the earlier review wrote about 'soggy' food? Yep. That. The dough was soggy (see picture), the cheese was congealed and the sauce was tangy. The pie was incredibly greasy and the middle was undercooked. None of this was a good combo. Despite my hunger, I could only suffer through one piece.* I don't want to kick a business when it may be down so I'll reiterate that the employees were very nice. I also thought the sausage (when eaten by itself) was good. The pizza I got was pan-style and the crust was enjoyable. But, I'm afraid, that's the extent of the good things I can say. *My buddies eventually arrived, started drinking like fish and knocked off the rest of the pizza in a drunken stupor -- as one does.

The bartender quickly offered a replacement draft beer, which we appreciated, but it still had the same taste. It may just be that the draft lines need cleaned. Those with drafts still finished their beers, but the taste was definitely noticeable. A few of us ordered bottled beers and those were perfect. The bartender handled everything well.

It looks much the same inside, rustic & cabin-like (which is nice) they are this year trying to refurbish the outdoor deck (which we used to enjoy with outdoor bar). Anyway, it's a chain sports bar so it's not bad, but it's just the usual TGI Friday type menu in my opinion. I went at lunch on a Friday within the opening hour & the manager was swamped trying to wait tables, bar & bartend before other staff arrived. They have the usual beers on tap, nothing local (not even Loose Cannon, a MD beer), and they do make cocktails (not craft) but basic ones. They have nice happy hour I think starting at 3pm with some specials. I had their rock fish bites app (more batter than fish it seemed but tasted ok) & tater tots. Fine, but not outstanding in any way , the usual fried bar apps. Anyway, it's fine, probably popular with families with kids due to basic menu selections. I prefer other places in DCL though with more creative menus, better tap list etc. I'd love to see the outdoor deck when it gets finished as that would be more appealing in summer months especially if they are able to host live music too.
