At first it was in person and I really liked her gentle manner, and calmed down in her presence as we discussed the difficult life circumstances that raised the fears I was trying to handle. The second time was a few years later during the pandemic, and it was over Zoom while sitting in my office. I recently got back in touch with her to get help with serious insomnia and I was disappointed to find she's still available on Zoom but had relocated so I couldn't see her in person. I remember virtually nothing about our Zoom sessions, and thought maybe they weren't as successful as the first set at her office (which were completely successful at conquering fears about certain things which have not returned 16 years later). I was shocked when she mentioned the issues we discussed during the pandemic - it wasn't related to the insomnia I'm facing now (my mistakes memory of what I saw her for), it was about something else entirely that hasn't bothered me at all since then. I'm so glad I decided to give Zoom another try! It's amazing to think that certain situations which had me emotionally paralyzed before barely ruffle me now. I don't really understand quite how it works, and I don't need to. I just know it works for me. I hope it works for you!

From diagnosis through surgery, radiation, and now ongoing medication into survivorship, she has been a steady, compassionate, and deeply supportive presence. Her hypnosis sessions helped me visualize myself as healthy and strong, manage anxiety before surgery and during radiation, navigate fears of recurrence, and stay grounded through all the emotional ups and downs of treatment. Shellie's ability to listen deeply, hold space with care, and offer thoughtful, personalized support has made such a difference. She checked in with me regularly, celebrated my progress, tailored each session to what I most needed, and always made me feel seen and supported. I truly don't know how I would have navigated this experience without her! She helped me access a sense of calm and resilience I didn't know I had. Beyond that, Shellie has led me to personal breakthroughs I've never reached with any other therapist, even in years of therapy unrelated to breast cancer. I would recommend Shellie to absolutely anyone navigating breast cancer or any serious diagnosis. I want to shout it from the rooftops: she is a gift. I'm endlessly grateful.

Of course, I was feeling reluctant to get help, but in three sessions of discussion and hypnotherapy, I had a great experience identifying the underlying problems and working on reshaping my relationship with myself, my work, and others. The hypnotherapy component seemed daunting at first, but those sessions ended up being very interesting, relaxing, eye opening, and therapeutic, and I always felt very energized for days after a session. I'm feeling a lot better now -- like I've been unburdened from a great weight -- so I'm very grateful for Shellie's helpful conversations and therapies.

I came to Andrea to help with my testing anxiety as I am in a rigorous graduate program where we were being tested every other week during my first semester. I had a lot of bad associations with tests from my undergraduate experiences of classes trying to weed people out, and I always found myself extremely anxious before each test. She was able to break through to me and I slowly found that I was becoming more confident within myself and taking tests without the anxiety. I was also excelling in my work environment with my new found confidence. I would not have been able to do so well on my tests this semester without Andrea's help! I am able to focus now and not make any mistakes due to anxiety or distractions of self doubt. She really unlocked something that I would never have been able to access on my own. I was a bit skeptical before coming to Andrea as I have never been hypnotized before, however I am so happy that I came to her. Thank you so much Andrea for all of your help and support!

My friend was able to identify things that no one knew about me, which legitimized the experience for me. As I got to know my roommate better, I realized that many insightful things she said circled back to concepts she learned through Theta. Overtime, I became more and more intrigued by the work. I decided to sign up for Alexis' Basic ThetaHealing course. There was so much information packed into one weekend that I actually retook the Basic Theta class. We learned about the Theta brainwave, how to access that brainwave, how to identify and clear limiting beliefs, and so much more. What I love about Theta Healing is that there is no right or wrong, what you uncover simply "just is". You see it, you handle it, and you can move on with your life. What I love about Alexis is her sense of leadership. She is calm, radiant, and full of light, at the same time, assertive and clear in her communication. The information she teaches is limitless and is a challenge to teach; yet she presents it in such a digestible format. Since basic, I have completed my Advanced Theta training with Alexis and continue to do the work.
