I booked an appointment with Leia since my neck has been hurting me lately. She is a genius and I wish I could see her every day! She's definitely not for the pain intolerant! She does such a great job of listening to your problem areas and focusing on those places. If you have a decent pain tolerance and really want the kinks worked out, go see her! Fantastic front desk staff accommodated my last-minute request, and made an appointment for 30 minutes later. The ambience was just perfect and the massage by Lee (male) was AMAZING. I paid for my boyfriend's mother to get a massage here and she called me freaking out about how absolutely incredible it was! She said that the atmosphere was so relaxing and that her masseuse Bethan just had the magic touch. Her back has been bothering her for weeks and she said she feels like the pain was just pushed right out of her back. She even signed up for their monthly plan! Visited the spa after meeting the marketing coordinator at a Chamber of Commerce event (thank you, Abby!). Greeting was warm and welcoming and told about various packages and rates. Not overwhelmingly pressuring and I waited only about 3-5 minutes before I was introduced to Daniel, my massage therapist. The hour long experience was lovely; not overly painful *Which some masages other places have been in the past*, but relaxing and well worth it! First time visitors get a massage for $49! I've been going here for almost three years. I do the monthly plan, I like the atmosphere the therapist for the most part listen and work well to accommodate my needs. My regular person left so that was a bummer but I still am able to get a nice deep tissue massage at least once a month. It is a great deal and the facility is neat clean and everyone is friendly. I came to Elements Massage after an international flight that took 24 hours to get to Charlotte, so my back was entirely in knots. I came to see Lee for deep tissue, and he was amazing -- very professional and was able to very quickly target all the knots I had and really worked at them. I wanted a longer time, so he even stayed an extra 30 minutes past his shift to accommodate me. I highly recommend Lee! Receptionists were also very friendly. I was here on business, but if I lived in Charlotte, Lee would definitely be my regular therapist. read more

Our first time here...we got the couples massage. Nice small place, clean, and the receptionist were friendly. My husband enjoyed his massage the most the only complaint he had was she did not touch his arms, hands or feet (was suppose to be a full body massage). My complaint is I felt it was more of a rubbing massage and one finger poking on my neck (literally poking into my neck for 60 seconds at a time- hurt and was annoying). I asked for him to really massage my feet and it was like a swipe rubbing motion - I NEEDED a kneading massage with the thumbs and the fingers with pressure :-(. He didn't massage my arms or my hands or knees or thighs...like the whole body experience just wasn't there - also he would intermittently massage while all the blankets had me covered (took time away from other areas). My husband enjoyed his person so I am happy (hence the reason why I didn't say anything to the front desk). I wouldn't go back though. read more

My visit to Elements today was lack luster at best. Being a first visit, I was not impressed. I arrived early as requested, I had purchased the "upgrade" to 80 minutes over the phone when making my appointment and was told it would be $25, great- I'm in! When I arrived I was told it would now be $30. Hmmm, ok. Then the 2 receptionists continued to discuss the $5 issue as if I wasn't even in the room. I'm pretty sure being the customer, she should have asked me what I wanted done with the $5 instead of discussing with her coworker. It was just rude. It's not the $$, it's poor customer service and generally being rude to a prospective new client. On the flip side, my therapist (Rebecca) was great! Unfortunately, I will not return. Good couples massage but for me it could've been more pressure and intensive. But her friendly stuff!

I have been going to Elements for over five years. I have had two VERY good therapists. My first therapist, who literally helped me overcome a bad lower back injury from running, was my favorite but she went out on maternity leave and her availability is very limited on her return. The staff worked really hard to find another therapist (I tried a couple) who was just as good as my favorite. The second therapist was amazing! Unfortunately I had to take a break for a few months - another great feature you can suspend your membership without losing the member discount - and it became difficult to get on her schedule. I am now with my third therapist. I think this is another winner (I have only had two sessions). But I know that the great staff will help me find another therapist if needed. read more

I was blessed with having Donna as my masseuse, but I suspect every Elements Massage Specialist is excellent. I've been going here for almost a year. The front staff is always friendly, every massage therapist that I've had has been great, and you can't beat the price for a good massage. They aren't pushy with sales tactics, and when I had to move away for a few months they let me cancel my membership with no fees or hoops to jump through. That made me even more excited to restart it when I returned to Charlotte. Finally, they are great at what they do! So I have been here on a few occasions and well worth it. So much that I joined the wellness program. $59 for an hour massage monthly is a deal!! I had two separate massage therapists and both were wonderful. The only complaint I had was that when I got undressed the room was a little cold and the bed was not heated. I was relaxed fairly easily and soon forgot of the small chill factor. Well worth every penny and have enjoyed every experience so far! read more

Not the best massage at all. I almost feel like getting a massage from a Community College that teaches massage therapy is better worth my time and money. Not a very good massage at all. It might just be that the staff is inexperienced or maybe they just didnt feel like doing their job that day. I highly recommend going anywhere else to better suit your needs.
