My massage room was the first one on the right which was inconvenient because you could hear all the laughter and chit chat happening at the front desk (not so much of a relaxing experience as I imagined). The music playlist was just odd for a massage place (some songs were nice and relaxing as you'd expect and then suddenly it's this weird repetitive instrumental music that is so out of tune that you can't help but focus on it and ask yourself why!!). I asked the therapist if she could change the music and she said she couldn't but that she could lower it, which helped. I have incredibly sensitive skin which reacts/reddens instantly to most skincare products, heat and any kind of friction. The massage therapists are great but the way they run this studio is unacceptable. I had a membership that I'd paused and they started to charge me again. They didn't tell me the pause was temporary, and started to charge me again. I asked that they pause my membership AGAIN last time I was in the studio and at the beginning of 2023 they began to charge me on a monthly basis once again. Now they're saying they won't refund me. Buy a massage, don't trust this business with your credit card info for automatic monthly payments. They don't do what they say they are doing and then blame the customer. Great massage! However, Candy in the front was extremely rude. If it wouldn't have been for cancelation fee I would have just left. First and last time visiting. There was a form on the front desk where folks had signed in so I started to write my name and she yelled at me that the sheet was for facials not massages. I apologized and tried to make a joke about how I'm sure it happens all the time and she replied with a rude response about how I had been the only one ever, grabbing the sign in sheet and proceeding to explain how she would have to rewrite the whole list now that it was so messy with my name crossed out. The silliest thing. But loud and obnoxious so that everyone in the waiting room could hear. Super embarrassing and rude. Great-- I had a wonderful massage here with my massage therapist, Shea. It was my first time getting one, and the staff were very mindful. Shea was very careful about my comfort and made sure that I always felt nice and that my boundaries were respected. It was wonderful! Very relaxing, he always adjusted the pressure if I needed him to, and was very friendly. I'm not normally talkative, so I was surprised I felt like chatting. I felt a lot looser and less crampy after my session, especially my back which usually feels really stiff from my bad desk posture! I was kind of concerned about getting a massage while I had my cycle, which usually puts me in life ending pain a few hours after it starts, but I couldn't cancel due to the 24hr policy. The massage felt really nice and maybe it helped me relax, because my cramps were not as bad as usual. The facilities are very clean and have a nice atmosphere. I felt very relaxed and cared for here. The front desk didn't push sales or tips on me, though of course I left a tip. Not so good-- If you have a gift card, it apparently can't be used with the introductory or membership prices. I wish I had been told when I first called and specifically asked about giftcards and rates because it's not pleasant to be hit with a surprise after I specifically asked about it when I booked. They didn't even tell me $79 was the introductory price over the phone, and that was *after* I said I wanted to use a Spa Week gift card. The price doesn't bother me, but I hate surprises. I don't know if this is usual or not, but I could barely smell the lavender aromatherapy during the session. Perhaps because of the mask restriction? When i first laid on the head support I could smell it, but within a few minutes, nothing. My therapist asked about it, so I thought it would be adjusted or something, but it wasn't. I would not recommend this add-on, at least while masks are being used, because not being able to smell the aromatherapy during 95% of my session makes it kind of pointless to me. minutes after i posted my previous review, someone from this place called me and offered a discount on another visit. sure, i appreciate that, i'll give them another shot. again, they're been so well-reviewed by other people-- they've gotta be good, and we just had a bad experience, right? eh. it was better than before, but... nothing to write home about. nothing to recommend my friends to. very average. the service was better, my masseuse (i think her name was alba?) was better. she was nice and suggested i come back bc she could tell that i needed work on my shoulders. but the actual massage felt like... sort of lacking? like she sometimes hit the right places but otherwise it just felt sort of like nothing. she also had some different techniques from any other massages i've gotten, but i'm not sure they were any more effective than other techniques. my boyfriend also agrees that it was just sort of eh. i did a lot of thinking, and i think that they charge a lot because they have these fancy tools-- hot stone, Himalayan stones, aromas and salts-- but the actual masseuses don't know as much about the body and where to massage as other places that don't have all that fancy equipment and only have to work with their hands. it's like giving an amateur artist a bunch of fancy equipment vs giving a talented artist crappy tools. even with crappy tools, the talented artist still has talent, and you'll be able to see it. so yeah, i guess the moral of the story is to find the cheaper place with more talented masseuses than an expensive one with less talented people. read more

I have become a member after one great message, this has turned in to nothing but a hassle. Two canceled messages later both at their request for varied reasons every time I try to re book on my schedule they are booked out for about a month. How does this work when I have a credit to use for last months membership? I have tried several times to get a message same week or next week as that's when I know my availability, it's impossible. When I asked to cancel I'm now told I'll be charged again, when I can hardly keep an appointment with them let alone schedule another one. This should be waved, it's not my fault that they cannot keep up with demand. I do not want to be charged for next month when I can't even book a message for that month. Changed rating because they reached out and were professional and I appreciate that. I wish I could tell you if their services are good or not but I tried to book a massage online on the recommended app from their website. Some time passed and then I received this message. Basically saying that they didn't want to take a 60 min massage and only wanted to book me if I did a 90 min massage. I don't see why they wouldn't offer another time slot or even on another day- but seemed like they had no interest in doing a 60 min massage at all. I had an extremely positive experience here and have already scheduled my next appointment! I rarely - like, less than once a year - get massages, but man, I love them. And few, if any, have been better than the one I got from Danelle. As others have mentioned, the front desk staff are SO sweet and pleasant. Danelle was very personable too, and a true professional. The little touches were all great (the mint on the bed, the soothing music, the water afterwards). Here's something that I really liked: I'm often cold ("cold and old", I say!), and when I mentioned this to Danelle, she heated up the massage bed for me, so when I lay down on it, it was toasty and wonderfully warm. And then she brought in a special warming blanket which she put on my back and later my legs. I was in absolute heaven and never wanted to leave! For real! The massage itself was relaxing and light (just what I wanted). And quiet, without any annoying chit-chat (as I've had to endure in a few past massages elsewhere). Upon leaving, I asked about their rewards programs and specials. I initiated the conversation. There was no pressure at all from the folks at the counter or Danelle to buy in to these programs. I really appreciated that. For those who aren't that familiar with this area of Bellevue (as I wasn't): This massage studio is in the strip mall just across the street to the east of the Bellevue Post Office. I have been visiting Jacob W. for back pain following a car accident with an 18 wheeler semi truck...I have been to many different massage therapists over the course of several years, and hands down...Jacob is the best massage therapist. Professional, knows the perfect amount of pressure, truly listens, considerate, and has what I can only describe as "the touch." What I mean is that he has this way of moving his hands that turns your body into putty. I have Jacob to thank for my progress and ease of pain, each and every time I see him. I just had the worst experience here. My husbands birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to get him a massage. I called last week to schedule something. I was told that he was scheduled with a person named Vinny, Saturday April 16th at 5:45. I was also told that I would get a text message 2 days before confirming the massage. I didn't get a text so I called today to confirm it myself. I was told that his massage was scheduled for May and that there was a note in our file apologizing for the change. No phone call, nothing to let me know that they changed our appointment. Had I not called he would have driven 25 minutes to the appointment only to be turned away. Now it's too late to schedule him anywhere else. So unprofessional. We will not be going back, I would think twice about going here. I bought a groupon to try this store out (I visited other Elements in the past) and really liked the location and also the store itself. It is nice and welcoming and the people there are really friendly. I had my first massage with Danielle, she was top. She applied a great amount of pressure and really did an amazing job. I would definitely go to her again in the future. She understood where I needed work done on my shoulders and neck and was really consistent with her pressure. I went in a second time and got someone else, Tricia is very friendly and super nice. I liked her a lot, but she fell off on the pressure every now and then. I definitely got a relaxing massage, but it didn't go as deep as I had them previously. I think she is the best for relaxing massages, normally I'm sore the next day, so this was a different experience. :-) I will definitely think about joining their wellness program once I have money do budget this in once a month. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that I have had A LOT of massages in life. I will also say that I have been to "fancier" spas. However, I can't say that I have been anywhere with better customer service. Steven, who helped with scheduling the appointment and with greeting me when I arrived was very kind and knowledgeable. His main objective was to make you comfortable and to help with anything you needed. The facility was easy to find with tons of free parking. The inside was very clean. Aaron, who provided the massage, was FABULOUS. Please go see him and tell him that I sent you. You won't regret it. He started the session off by asking what areas I wanted him to focus on and by giving me a run through of his plan to tackle my back and neck issues. I appreciated this because it made me feel comfortable and let me know what types of techniques he would use. Once the plan was approved, I was confident that the session would be great. Aaron applied the perfect amount of pressure. He was very knowledgeable (even being observant enough to point out that I must sleep on my left side due to the way my knots were falling my back). He checked in once or twice to ensure that the pressure was what I desired but did not do this in a distracting way. Throughout the massage, I felt relaxed and felt that I was getting some much needed relief FINALLY. He used some great techniques to stretch out my back, loosen up knots and to make me relax. Once complete, I was really appreciative that he took the time to debrief and to provide me with suggestions to improve my back issues/sleeping position. After ensuring that I was satisfied, I was given a bottle of ice cold water and was on my way feeling great! Both the Groupon and First Time rates are extremely competitive. If you are considering a massage, this spot is totally worth a try. They also offer a membership deal for those who need more frequent massages. I have had a lot of pricier, more-disappointing massages so this is really a great value. I will be back to see Aaron for another visit soon. read more

Thank goodness I checked out Yelp to decide on where to go to get a massage today. I haven't had one in forever and I've been achy from sleeping on a mattress that hasn't been to my liking lately. Like others have said, the little touches are nice. The mint on the bed, the bottled water, the quiet and relaxing atmosphere, the friendly reception. They have a "wellness program" which allows you to save on massages by joining and setting up an auto-debit - I was very happy to that there was no real pressure to join up right away and it was only mentioned once by the receptionist when I arrived and again in passing as I paid my bill. The actual massage, though? UH-MAZING. Danielle was awesome! I didn't have anything specific in mind, just relaxation and relief from general back achiness from a cruddy mattress and general stress. She made sure to ask the right questions to ensure that I was comfortable and if the pressure was all right. She did everything so spot on, I actually dozed off a couple times. Just wow! I left Elements feeling like an ectomorph, all soft and Staypuf Marshmallow Man-like. Michael found every one of my tight, knotted muscles without my giving any direction. She said he was a very nice person and made her feel comfortable. She said it was one of the best massages she's gotten! I was able to pay with my debit card through the phone and even tip on my card, making the whole process easy as I didn't want my fiancé to have to worry about that after her massage. I got my first ever massage at Elements Massage! I heard about Elements from my apartment building because I got a good deal for a 80 minute massage. I looked it up on Yelp and it was really close to my building and it also got awesome reviews! I called Elements and I was (VERY LUCKILY!!!!) able to book a massage the very next day with Danielle. I went there 15 minutes earlier (first time client thing) and as soon as I entered the place, I was greeted by a very warm welcome and an offer for some nice tea or water. The receptionist, Laura, was extremely helpful and patient with my questions and I really liked how clean and comfortable the ambiance was. Elements may not be the biggest massage place out there but it definitely has the nicest touch everywhere you look around. A very nice, simple decoration everywhere with clean sheets and pillows. Plus they give you an elastic band for your hair if you forget your own and a mint and a cold bottle of water after you're done!!! Danielle is an awesome masseuse and anyone who's had her (read other reviews!) would agree with me. She is very attentive and professional and her hands are so soft and healing! I had some neck/shoulder pain and sore legs and after listening to me, she did an amazing 80 minute massage, focusing on my neck/shoulder and legs. She spent quite a bit of time on my neck area because it was soooooo tense. After the massage (it did NOT feel like 80 minutes because it was THAT good!), she wrote down the problem I had on my neck/shoulder area and recommended that I change my pillow and told me what to do. She also recommended getting a massage every 3-4 weeks. Because Danielle was really good, I decided to come back again soon! I also got myself on the Wellness program list because it gives an amazing deal every month. The thing I like about a local place like Elements Massage is their efforts to please the customers. I had booked an appointment with Danielle for this Thursday weeks ago and 2 days before the appointment, they called me and told me Danielle wouldn't be available. For the trouble , they offered me a free upgrade for the next massage and recommended Erin, their new masseuse. I didn't go in for my appointment yet but I trust Dan (the owner) and Laura's recommendation and I am very excited about the upcoming appointment! Totally agree with the reviews praising Aaron! I had REALLY BAD back pain yesterday and he took care of it with ease. It's awesome that they have same day appointments. Most massage therapists are scared to apply pressure on my first visit because I use a wheelchair, but Aaron wasn't. He made sure he understood my condition and where he could apply pressure. He checked in with me regularly to make sure the pressure was to my satisfaction. I also liked how he spent time on what *I" wanted - he spent a majority of the time on my trouble spots, and about halfway through he asked if I wanted him to go over anything again or if he should work on the rest of my body. The music in the room is also a nice touch, helping to avoid that awkward silence feeling. Steven at the front desk was also really nice.
