Enjoyed my time here. They serve Bard's Coffee, which is great. I had probably one of the best Everything Bagels I've ever had. Lots of stuff on it and I was toasted perfectly. It a coffee place and a book store, so the layout and vibe is different than most places. It was a very chill atmosphere the morning I was there, which was perfect. Wonderful bookstore! We ended buying EIGHT books! The way it's organized really helps with drawing you into the different genres. They don't have Oprah's best seller of the month, but that's what really adds to the charm. They have the books that you didn't know you wanted but can't leave without buying. What an awesome little place! I stopped by to get some reading done on a Sunday and was not disappointed. I got a giant latte and it was so delicious and I loved the latte art. The coffee is really good quality. Lots of seating options- comfy couches and chairs, bar seating, tables and chairs. I love that this place is also a bookstore. There is something special about being surrounded by an eclectic mix of books while sipping a humongous latte and people watching. I did not try any food but hope to next time I go! This is a busy place so I think seating can be limited for large parties but solo I had no problemo. read more

Not only does elements offer a wide range of delicious coffee and tea, it also has various beers from local popular breweries. My personal favorite item at this quaint little gem is bagels from Rose foods in portland, they offer a wide range of fresh local toppings such as herbed cream cheese, above the dam jam, hummus, tomato, avocado, and more! They also offer daily soups from Portland's Karamasouptra, perfect for a chilly day. This is a perfect stop to spend the afternoon catching up on homework, meeting with a friend, or spending a Friday​ or Saturday​ night enjoying some live music and a beer. What a great spot! Elements gave me a new appreciation for Biddeford. First of all, those are some of my favorite ingredients: books, coffee, beer ... what's not to like? The nerdy periodic table references throughout the store are fun, and add to the atmosphere. I camped out at Elements today to get some work done (good wifi, hilarious password!) and the staff was warm and helpful. I only got a basic drip house blend, but they had some great sounding single origin estate varietals (single cup pour-overs, like at Philz) that I will definitely look at next time I go. The bookshelves were interesting, although I have to admit that the Scifi shelves were unimpressive (Mieville, Stephenson, Vinge, Liu Cixin, Leckie, NK Jemisin ... all missing. Someone needs to school them!) Other than that, the only blemish on this place was the fact that the AC was out when I visited, and it was wicked warm. The upsides were many. I loved this place so much, if I were local this would be my spot for sure. If you are passing anywhere near this area, Elements is worth stopping in to experience for yourself. This was my coffee shop review ... have to go back for the beer part ... if they have local IPAs on tap I might have to move back to Maine! read more

Fun, eclectic bookstore / cafe / coffee shop in Biddeford, Maine. The walls are full of books and there are nice tables and comfy chairs to sit and sip your coffee. Lots of caffeinated selections to choose from and the dark roast was quite good on my visit... I even got a refill to go! There is free WiFi for patrons and this seems like it would be a great place to sit and work on those days that you're not tied to the office. I'll be working in Biddeford quite a bit this summer on a contract and I'll be sure to make this a regular stop! read more

Elements is a unique cafe with lots of creativity. If you think about the periodic table, then the name of the cafe makes more sense! Aside from having a cup of coffee (Co), beer (Be) is served, there are books (Bk) to read, live music (Ms), trivia (Tr) every Tuesdays at 7 pm and great seating arrangements. If you're not a beer drinker or coffee drinker, wine and assorted teas are offered too! Aside from drinks and books, food is on the menu, huzzah! If you're gluten free, they have snacks when they are available. Bagels, muffins, cookies, scones and biscotti are served daily. Kamasouptra soups are sold seasonally......wish it wasn't because those soups are so savory! Tapas plates are popular on the menu. The cheese plate (not the small one) is big enough for two that's for sure. Brie, blue cheese, goat cheese, and cheddar are neatly displayed with ample crackers and grapes. I can't wait to try the hummus and charcuterie plates! I love unwinding here after a hard day's work and coming on the weekends to have a chill day! I've been trying to find a zen cafe that I click with and Elements has stolen my heart. The staff take pride in the place and are great to talk to when you sit at the bar area. Fridays and weekends tend to get crowded because the live music is really worth listening and jamming out too! read more

This is such a quirky coffee shop that I'm so glad I came by on my road trip. I love different types of coffees and this place is the perfect place to try some! I got the iced coffee with a blueberry flavor and then grabbed a table (it was very full FYI) and enjoyed being surrounded by the books vibe. Personally I don't think blueberry in cold coffee was the best combination so I wouldn't be having that again but definitely swing by and try another one from the list! read more

My new happy place! The staff is really friendly and make an excellent latte (and I take my lattes very seriously). The selection of books is so eclectic it's fun to browse through- who knows what you'll find. They also have nice, comfy seating and will let you sit and read for as long as you want and have free WiFi. The chocolate chip cookies taste just like my mom used to make. We were lucky with on-street parking nearby, but it's worth a little walk if you're not so lucky. read more

My boyfriend lives about a block away so needless to say we're regulars here. The coffee is always great. I usually grab a cup of their cold brew but their brew of the day and pour overs are a nice alternative for those who like variety. The lattes and mochas are also a great choice. They have an extensive tea variety for non-coffee drinkers. I highly recommend the orange ginger elixir and chamomile lavender. If you're feeling a little nibbly they also offer a wide selection of pastries. The wheat free, raspberry scone is my absolute favorite. I don't have any dietary restrictions but I still love this scone. I don't even miss the wheat. They get their bagels from Rose Foods and let me just say that they're delicious. Add a little house herb cream cream cheese and you have a bagel to write home about. The charcuterie boards are also a nice touch. Simple yet delicious. If live music and local, craft beer interest you then you've hit the jackpot here. I've yet to experience it but I know I'll be in for a treat when I do. read more

Craft beer, good coffee, and all in a cool little coffee shop/bookstore. Its a great place to come hang out, get some work done, meet up after work, or even meet a date. It has such a cool vibe, and I really liked their coffee. I thought it was really cool that on the table they had a card which had the wifi password, and how to get to the bathroom. I love local businesses, and I love it even more when they deliver great food and drink. Elements is such a staple in Downtown Biddeford. It's a great place to meet a friend for a drink, stop in to get some work done, or run in and grab a coffee to go. They have a great selection of books, coffee, and beer, so they definitely live up to their sign. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is delightful. I have a toddler so I don't get to enjoy the nightlife in Biddeford much, but even driving by Elements on my way to grab take out brings me joy, seeing live bands performing and everyone crowded around to watch. Elements is just one of the many reasons Biddeford feels like home for my family. read more
