With not wanting to go into the old port this was the perfect option. Located on Forest Ave, we got extremely lucky for a Saturday morning and got parking directly in front. We also got here at a good time with no line/rush. Walked right up to order and waited less than 5 minutes for our drinks. First look at the menu they have all the coffee shop favorites you'd expect to see. The specials instantly caught my eye today because they had Honey Lavender Latte & Matcha. I knew my wife would want one of those. We both settled on an iced latte version of that. Tasty and well made drinks. We had already had breakfast otherwise a breakfast sandwich would have been the perfect addition. They also had some baked goods, Avacado toast as well as some other food options. The space is quite large with a variety of seating including a few tables outside and quite a few window seats too. As mentioned in some other reviews the windows are large so any of the window seats offer great views outside. A great set up overall. A coffee shop we will keep in our rota

He also assured us despite the line it wouldn't be long. It was true they definitely kept it moving. Showing up a little later in the day their pastries were low so show up early for the best selection. They have inside seating as well as a nice little outside seating section too. We did only get drinks so look at other reviews for info on the food. My wife got an Iced Mocha and I got an Iced Vanilla Latte. I do think they could take names to improve the drink pick up so you know it's your drink like many other places do. Overall the drinks were good but with all of the coffee options in the greater Portland area it would not be top choice.

The staff was really helpful when we had questions about the menu, which we appreciated. We got a latte and a cold brew and split a delicious breakfast sandwich. We're glad we stopped in and would definitely come back to try more from the menu!

I care more about the ambiance, service, and overall space than the coffee itself (how hard is it to mess up a drip coffee, after all?), which is what this review is mostly based on. That said, Y%F Coffee might be my new favorite coffee spot in town. The space is so good. Floor to ceiling windows that are perfect for people watching, visually stunning throughout, and everything you'd need to get some work done: plenty of outlets, USB ports, fast WiFi, and comfy chairs. My drip coffee was great too, and the people working there were so nice. Oh, and the hours! They open late which is a big plus in this area. I spent half a day sitting by the windows getting work done and didn't want to leave. I was a little hesitant given some of the earlier reviews; it looked like they were still figuring things out when they first opened. But a few months in, the place feels calm and settled. It was almost empty on a recent Monday and everything seemed to be running smoothly.

On our return drive to South Portland, we were looking for places to eat in Biddeford (Palace Diner was too crowded, many restaurants were closed on Monday). The Catface Cafe was a pleasant surprise with lots of pluses. First, it has a clean and bright interior. Second, the service was friendly and professional. Third, I devoured the banh mi sandwich (which had a spicy touch of gochujang paste). My sons enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. Fourth, the back patio space was lovely to enjoy a meal outdoors. Although I did not have a cup of coffee, I would definitely return to the Catface Cafe on our next trip to the area.

Fine- we came back in the morning and explained that we got a Cuban and a bagel/ cream cheese instead of our sandwich and açaí bowl with extra items- he said about $30... but bc it was the day before they couldn't do anything about it. Frustrating- esp bc I offered to pay for what we got yesterday- just give me what I ordered... but that wasn't an option. We had planned to order egg sandwiches today- so - dumb us did that... Thank goodness we checked before we left - they totally gave us the wrong order !! Okay place - not sure they can handle the business...and definitely not customer thoughtful. We won't be back.

Seeing their seasonal (Valentines) specials on social media really sold us on coming in. It was not that busy when we came in and took no time at all to order and receive our drinks. The baristas were friendly and the spot is definitely a welcoming to everyone space. It seemed like a good spot for those interested to spend time on the computer doing some work or those wanting to watch the world walk by out the windows. The overall vibes were nice enough and I don't have anything overly negative about it but enjoy some other local spots more. It is a thin long space which maybe contributed to that feeling. Also secondly I think it leans a little more towards generic coffee shop. Drink wise my wife and I typically are iced coffee drinkers no matter the weather but with the walking around in the cold made us want that hot coffee to warm us up. I went with their Salted Banana Foster while my wife got the Cherry Cobbler Au Lait. Both were solid drinks to give us that warming feeling inside and delivered good flavor without being too overpowering. Arabica will be a coffee shop I will consider revisiting in Portland it just may not be my first choice.
