I was looking forward to eating at Elements since the idea of having more upscale American food in West Valley sounded appealing. While not everything was awful Elements still could improve in many ways. Food ordered: appetizer wings which were very delicious, crispy soaked in Buffalo sauce. I highly recommend those. Main course was the rib eye and grilled shrimp. Our plates came with salads that were very fresh. The rib eye was soaked in gravy maybe to add flavoring because the steak itself was lacking flavor and had no wow factor. To our disappointment the grilled shrimp lacked well grilling, it came out raw and still grey. I asked the waiter to take it back to get cooked and when he came back with it, it was obvious it was grilled pressed flat and had grill crumbs all over the shrimp. At least that way it was cooked, but still i was disappointment with the burned grill crumbs and the side rice was dry and tasted old. The place was clean, empty but nice. The waiter was nice and attentive. The restaurant is in the hotel and maybe will do good for guests but for me, I need more. Maybe add a 3rd steak option and better meat quality. I wouldn't rule this place out since it also has a bar with screens, I may only return for those wings. I really do wish West Valley can offer better dining, sadly Elements fell short of that for me.

A nice restaurant is located in the Embassy Suites downtown Salt Lake City. The service and atmosphere were very inviting. The BBQ and margarita flatbread were excellent.

We were celebrating our 26th Wedding Anniversary with a dinner. Compliments to our Chef Scott for a sumptuous Filet Mignon and Blackened Catfish. A special shout out to our server Mike for his awesome mixocology and complimentary cheesecake.

Service amazing especially on a busy night. Food was great! I was surprised by my dish. I will be coming back!

Terrible service, double wait time from what we were told, no line, numerous empty tables and a jerk for a bartender. Stay away!!!

Would definitely return! Excellent burger. Got the firehouse burger, which consisted of 1/4 patty, onions, pickles, tomatoes, jalapeños, shredded lettuce and bacon. Ton of bacon and a ton of jalapeños in the burger. Was a nice potato bun that wasn't soggy. Shoestring fries were nice and crispy. The onion rings had a ton of flavor in it. Opted for the BBQ sauce over the fry sauce. Spot had a lot of history and nostalgia to it. I was there shortly after it opened so I got my food fairly quickly. One unique thing they had were different colored roses for people to take on the house if you're into that. Staff was very friendly as well. There's ton of parking too so that was nice to not have to drive around a neighborhood for parking.

It's a small place - very much themed in fire fighter decor which one would expect. The staff were very helpful and answered questions. We started with the deep fried pickles. We love deep fried pickles. These were okay - too greasy and a very small portion. I had the Firehouse burger which had the burger, bacon, jalapeños, pickles, lettuce, mayo and dipping sauce. It was actually very good and had a good amount of bacon and jalapeños. We also tried the bacon cheeseburger. There was only one very small piece of bacon and the burger was really overcooked. We tried the fries - they were fries - a bit overcooked but not too bad - but zero flavor at all. We did not try any dessert, though they specialize in shakes and ice cream. Would we come back? Probably not. There are way too many places that make great burgers and fries to go to an average joint.

I ordered a New York Strip medium rare and waited nearly an hour for it to arrive. When it finally hit the table, it was cooked well beyond medium rare. My waiter took one look and immediately agreed. No argument. No debate. Just, "Yep... that's overcooked." No worries, mistakes happen. They sent another one out. And then... somehow... they did it AGAIN. At this point I wasn't sure if the kitchen was confused by the term "medium rare" or if every steak in the restaurant was being cooked with a flamethrower. To their credit, the manager apologized and comped my drink, and my waiter did everything he could to make it right. Unfortunately, after waiting over an hour and being served two overcooked steaks in a row, I waved the white flag and left hungry. A steakhouse getting a steak temperature wrong once is unfortunate. Getting it wrong twice is impressive in a way I didn't know was possible.
