There are so many different tanning lotions to try! In addition to their beds, they offer spray tanning and Red Light Therapy. Their salon is clean and welcoming - there's usually a bowl of complimentary candy on the counter if you have a sweet tooth! The rooms come with towels, goggles, wipes and even deodorant. If you are warm after your tan, there are complimentary waters in the mini fridge up front. The prices and tanning packages are super reasonable, and your tans - once purchased - never expire. Today I decided to give this tanning establishment another try, hoping it would be a better choice- Well it was today, they are under new management which greeted me Which in a way was unusual, then the prior staff that were simply rude and would talk about you from the other room- when there is open ceilings. Which made those of us who were paying customers feel uneasy. For me it was Kelsey that was extremely rude- who when I walked up say their closed and she was going to lunch/bank. I have noticed a big difference compared to the other tanning place I used to be a member of in Spanish Springs before Covid. I have only went once and started with a "Level IV"....I can see why tanning costs more per session than the old school places I used to go to. One time and I'm pretty red. I'm thinking it won't take near as long as the old days to get that sun kissed glow! Place was clean and the beds were very nice. I highly recommend Element Tanning, and here's why: So... tanning is not a science I am familiar with, but I'm headed to Maui and want to get a good base tan so I don't burn on my trip. Stacy and her staff know exactly what their customers need and are like scientists creating the perfect formula for each client. They take into consideration your history, your current skin condition/shade, and the tan you're hoping for. Then they know just the right types of lights, the orientation of the lights, and the amounts of time so that you will get even color but won't burn. They are very cautious about not burning you!! They also can help you to address pressure points and hard to reach areas. I have a great tan now that I feel good about and I'm confident I won't burn at sea-level. And a bonus side effect is that it has improved my eczema! (Of course, I am not a doctor, and cannot make an absolute correlation, but I can say that since I've gone tanning, this patch of eczema is looking quite a bit better and feels less inflamed.) They are also very knowledgeable about tan enhancing bronzing lotions and can give good recommendations on products as well. I'm thinking about trying the spray tan, but I have such nice color already that I may not need it. Love this place. Everyone is super friendly and very no nonsense (if that makes sense). The tanning salon itself is very clean and modern, but i have never been anywhere else to judge. It's never too busy in there I get right in and out, also shoutout to Faith for having my name memorized! They have sweet little touches like bottled water in the rooms, and little jolly rancher candies under the tanning goggles (which everyone loves). In a very convenient location as well, basically right off south Virginia. Would recommend anyone that tans in Reno to stop wasting their time somewhere else and just come to Element! I would love to give four stars however there are a few glitches that keep Element from being simply perfect. One complaint first: closing is at 7:00pm, not 9:00 as stated. ~~ Most would expect if closing were at a certain hour that any business will not greet you with a bummed out attitude that someone has arrived. Tanning takes no more than 15 minutes so the latest an employee may end up staying after close would be 15-30 minutes at most. Depends on how many show at the last minute. Most businesses schedule employee's at least a little time after close. Maybe not here. But, if you are told you're not wanted after 6:45 because the person closing has to wipe one more bed after 7:00, change business hours accordingly. I do have a feeling this is not the overall business practice, just someone who may not want to work one extra minute. On Sunday, element closed an hour 1/2 early because business was slow. Really?? This is what I pay for? :( The positives: all employees are nice and welcoming. I read otherwise however that has yet to be my experience. ~ the entire salon/bathrooms are always clean. ~ beds are clean and work well. Some better than others. ~ element leaves a hard candy on the towel to enjoy while you tan. ~ if you have a membership/monthly package, you'll save 25% on the tanning bed lotions. I don't use them but once in a blue moon however, others in my family do and like them. I personally do not use tanning beds a lot. However, life is busy lately and it's been convenient for quick summer color and a winter pick me up. Cheers! word to the wise~ moisturize and drink a lot of water so you don't look 80 years old before your time. read more

Used this with a Living Social special. Hadn't tanned in years, they weren't especially friendly, but quick to assist, and the place is very clean and I've never had to wait. The beds are very fast, and I tanned quickly with just 3 10min visits on a Level III bed. It seems rather expensive, but the convenience makes it worth it. I would recommend. read more

I used to visit a lot more often but moved across town so not as often. I miss the relaxing experiences there. Never drama, pleasant check in, services ready to start on time, etc. Clean and smells so good! I love that it is family run--even the non bio family there is like family!
