I've been coming to Element since it opened up and not once have I been disappointed. I would always speak highly of this salon and would recommend it to everyone I knew. Today, however, I am extremely disappointed. I had been growing out my natural nail for a while and decided to get an acrylic overlay with gel polish. I specifically told the tech I wanted to keep the length I had and for her to try her best to keep them that way. As you can tell by my pictures she completely disregarded my instructions. On top of that I have a bunch of acrylic residue all over my hands. She was not careful at all and made my nails wonky, lumpy, and SHORT. On top of all this the lady who did my pedicure showed little to no care and rushed the whole process. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Will not be returning anytime soon. read more

I did not care for this place the first and last time I visited it. It seems very high end and pricey In a weird strip mall. The lady who did my eyebrows did not do a very well job and seemed in a rush I also ended up having a allergic reaction to the wax or whatever they put on my eye afterwards. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've had at a nail salon. Owner was all over the place and not very polite. I was escorted to my pedicure chair with what felt like an after thought point. The nail tech was not very social and seemed distracted. No water was offered or anything. Assistance out of the chair was not offered... and the arm rest difficult to lift by myself. The nail tech just got up and left after she finished with me. Overall I didn't feel welcomed here. After 7 years of coming to this nail shop and staying loyal even through the ownership change 2017/2018 I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN the owner is a an JERK IDK his name (not the one with the newborn baby) took advantage of my daughters 11 & 16 they went in for nail color change ONLY $44 & the techs did manicures $64 when I was on facetime with my daughter & heard her say color change ONLY she didn't know color change service didn't include the extras and literally argued with me about it there are 2 other nail salons in this area and I will definitely take my money there had my girls been adults they wouldn't have done that play dumb like they didn't ask for just color change when I heard it. Been here twice because the location is convenient for me and the salon looks nice. I used the same nail tech because she seemed detailed and personable however my second visit with her, she was very distracted with her phone. I got the feeling that she had something going on that needed attention so I tried to be understanding. Even with that being said, I did not have an issue with the nail tech, but I did have issues with the way the managers were running the show. They were literally rushing her and asking her questions as she was trying to finish my nails about what to charge me. I paid $135 for a gel Pedi and some basic dip nails... I normally pay $90. The manager started making up prices as I asked him why it was extra this time. He said they charge for the shape, for the removal of my previous dip nails that were soaked off & for the color I chose. (Funny thing is, it was a clearcoat with a little bit of pink eyeshadow powder that the nail tech invented to get an "obre" look lol so what color?!?!) honestly I would have been fine with that answer if it was consistent with the first time visit but it wasn't. I'm not a cheap person, I appreciate paying for what I get & am an advocate for small businesses but these were no $135 nails. I don't appreciate that they make up random prices to take advantage of people. I paid for it but won't be returning. read more

I'm not sure how to spell her name but Annie was the greatest nail tech I've ever had. I've lived in arizona 3 years now and have yet to find a nail place I've enjoyed. This place is clean the staff is friendly and I've never had a prettier set of nails. Annie focused on every little detail which I appreciate because I'm picky. I'm kind of shocked to see all these bad reviews.. I've been taking my 11 year old daughter here for maybe a year, and have always had a great experience. My job doesn't allow me to get nails unfortunately, but before that I always loved every time I got my nails done here, and I do get pedicures on occasion. The ONLY thing I could complain about is that it is expensive. But, I've never had a better job done anywhere else, so I pay the little extra for what I consider to be a better job than other places. Never once had anyone be rude, never saw the place dirty, and ALWAYS does the nails EXACTLY as the picture my daughter shows them she wants. I was so disappointed walking out of this salon. I showed up at 11:00 for my appointment and didn't get seated till 11:20. I usually am pretty understanding (especially on the weekends) however I did not walk out of the salon until 1:50. I simply asked for a dip manicure with a pearl look and the owner who did my nails said he could do it like the picture I referenced. The entire time he was doing my nails, he was starting and stopping multiple times to check people out, answer the phones (on speaker so the whole salon could hear a customer sharing her name and phone number) and seating people at different places. He clearly was not focused or valuing my time. We got to the end of my manicure and he told me the look I wanted he didn't have the powder for which he was going to initially charge me extra for. Moral of the story, I walked out paying more than I wanted, with nails I didn't even want, 2 hours later. I do not recommend which is so sad because I heard such positive things prior. read more

Element is amazing! I called ahead and they were able to get myself, my mom, and my nana in for pedicures and manicures. I got a full set with SNS dip and a gel pedicure and so did my mom so we did end up leaving til after 7pm even though they were supposed to close at 6 because it was a Sunday! I had Kelly as the girl who attempted to do an acrylic set on me. Removal process took over an hour (never takes that long). My hands were literally white from how long they were in acetone. She glued our hands together in 6 different spots and told me to calm down? I believe it was too much of a request to not have my nails on completely crooked. The owner or head guy of the shop stopped by more than a few times and continued to watch this mess turn into a complete disaster. After telling her to correct the lumps in the acrylic, she proceeded to attempt to polish my nails. I stopped her and asked for the file because I refused to walk out completely unsatisfied. I continued to fix the lumps and the uneven "straight shape" I asked for. She continued to stand and watch and talk to the manager or owner (I wouldn't be able to tell the difference) about how they were "thick" on certain spots due to them being "long" and they would break.. yet my other nails had a "flat" shape to them... I believe in the last 6 years of getting my nails done; this by far was one of the worst places I've ever been too. Super disappointed in this nail salon and it's sad because I really wanted to like it. I gave 2 stars because Wendy did amazing job on my eyebrows however the pedicure from another lady was sloppy & she got upset when I brought it to her attention.
