This is been probably one of the best staycations on any beach town I've been to. From checking in to getting our room ASAP it was seamless and it was very efficient and very relaxing. We were on the fifth floor and viewing the Indian River. They have a heated pool and access to the beach. There is also a shuttle that takes you to downtown Melbourne. They've got a complimentary breakfast and no smoking anywhere on property which I love. There's valet for $20 or self park for $20. The only couple things I would probably mention was the area where you can get your own bagels, toast, muffins was all open. They didn't have a lid so if you were above a certain height, you could probably sneeze and cough on them; which wasn't necessarily my favorite. Last night, my mom and I had a couple drinks at the EB and flow eatery outside. A couple of the guests were taking their glass cocktail cups and bringing them outside into the pool area which is a safety hazard. Above all this was a 10/10! Definitely coming back. read more

We stayed here on the way home from our beach vacation. We are thinking about going there for a future beach vacation. Element is a Westin version of Marriott's Town Place Suites. It's very spacious and clean. The design and minimal decor seem to emphasize how clean it is. We had a really nice ocean view. The beach was calm and serene. The pool chairs were comfortable and plentiful. Like the beach, it was serene and restful. We loved the food at the pool bar. What a delightful complimentary breakfast! Got caught in a lightning and rain storm but that didn't stop our hunt for good food I got a dragon bowl, which came with chunks of fresh ahi tuna and salmon, seaweed salad, edamame, artificial crab, radish slices, avocado, and rice. The bowl was flavored well and portion was pretty big. The Birria sandwich was good too, with a meaty sandwich paired with piping hot sauce to dip. The server was very sweet and brought us our food indoors since the weather was so bad out. They still had a saxophone player providing jazzy tunes in the covered section of the bar outside as well. We stayed in this hotel for a few days and overall had a pleasant experience since it was new and rooms came with small kitchenettes. The pool area did get a bit crowded but since the beach is so close by, it wasn't too big of a deal if you're looking to hang out by the beach too. read more

Breakfast is simple, yet satisfying, offering egg bites, assortment of bread for toast, bagels; pastries, juices, coffee, pancakes or French toast made to order. Bar has really good food and drinks. From the moment we hit valet parking we knew this was a special place. Kind, courteous, we learned so much about the hotel in just that brief conversation! A cart was brought to our car for easy check-in. Quick lobby visit with an offer for a cocktail or beer for free happy hour. Room was lovely then after dinner greeted with relaxing tea. I stayed here for one night with a friend a week after they opened, so I'm a little late to the review party, but here we go. The Pros: - clean hotel, everything is shiny and new - lovely pool area overlooking the ocean. Comfy chairs and ample seating. - friendly staff willing to help - free bicycles you can rent - well equipped gym - decent breakfast with an abundance of options - comfortable beds and spacious rooms - beach access The Cons: - a parking charge for a garage that's not even close to full - our cars were parked near the ocean for absolutely no reason, and got salt water spray all over them. When I brought this up, the concierge said the parking charge would be refunded for two cars, and it never was. Tipped $40 for two cars in and out in 24 hours, on top of $40 in parking fees and ended up having to spend another $20 on car washes. - the top floor gets HOT. We were originally on the top floor but needed to switch rooms because the AC just wasn't cutting it - one elevator was out, and one elevator is just not enough for this hotel, especially since it's the only way to get to car level. - got bit by a tick lounging in the pool area. It's new so the bugs haven't moved out yet, but be diligent about checking for ticks when staying here. I would definitely stay here again! However, I really hope they take all these review into account and do something about the parking policy because there is absolutely no reason to valet here. It adds zero value to the stay, and it's actually inconvenient when you can just walk 0.5 seconds to your car where it's parked. read more

We stayed here for one night just to get away for Mother's Day. We were checked in by Samaria. She was very informative, polite and had a welcoming warm smile. I had even forgotten my charger at home and she found a spare. She found us a room upgrade and made it an even better stay. This is why we stay with Marriott, customer service is always the best because of people like her. We ate at the bar that night and while the menu was smaller it was perfect for poolside bites. I had a frozen Mojito and it was so good. Jonah was our server and he did a great job. Even when they got busy and a private party was going on he did a great job. There is a pool on the second floor where the lobby, bar and restaurant are. Plus a little market for some snacks. They had fresh coffee out all day both caffeinated and decaf. Breakfast was good, but the hot food is limited to certain things on certain days. We hit the pancake and corn and bean frittata day. I wish they had plain eggs and then something set up where you could add toppings in them like cheese, salsa, corn, beans etc. instead of the premade ones with beans and corn in them. I am not sure if they used the griddle they have to make fresh pancakes or they were reheated, they were a little rubbery. Some people sitting near us said they liked the French toast day better. There was a yogurt buffet area which we took full advantage of. Plenty of different pastries and breads, Fresh fruit, cereals, etc. Coffee bar and a machine that makes espressos, macchiatos, etc. I like how the design of the breakfast place is, like a little farmers market. There are bikes downstairs you can use, I am not sure if there is a fee. There is also an elevator that goes down to the beach level. It was a very relaxing stay and our bed was so comfortable. My husband has spinal issues and he has the hardest time with any hotel. This is the first time he has woken up in a hotel and his back not bothering him. read more

We stayed at the hotel Memorial Day weekend and it was excellent. I will happily stay at this location again and will look at other Elements when I travel. I am a Lifetime Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member so I've stayed at a lot of hotels. Service in general has gone downhill but not at this location. The staff went out of their way to get whatever you needed and make sure everything at the hotel was perfect. The breakfast in the morning had bakery items, a yogurt bar, fresh fruit & rotating hot options freshly made. There was also a coffee machine that made lattes, capacinos, etc. The pool area was better than some full service Marriotts with double beach loungers, food/beverage service to your lounger and relaxing music. The beach had a company you could rent lounge chairs and umbrellas but charge to your room. The full kitchen in your room was so convenient to put waters & such in the fridge (we definitely made a Publix run). The valet for the car was so easy to use - you called the car via the app and it was always waiting for us. I wish I would have gotten individuals names to give them a shout out but every single person we encountered was amazing. read more

This was a horrible experience. Ocean view really means a glimpse of the ocean where I'm standing in a corner of the room. The real view is a rooftop and the pool. Front desk agreed the pictures online are deceptive but did nothing about it. There was a boil water advisory when we checked in that they never informed us of. E.coli isn't a concern for this staff. Thank you to the grocery store for posting signs for us. Pool area has about 20 chairs for the 200 people staying here. Had to go to Walmart to buy chairs so we could lounge by the pool and have them at the beach. Renting them on the beach for $20 an hour is ridiculous for the price you have to pay to stay here. The wait time for food and drinks at the restaurant was ridiculous. Waitress had to ask 3 times for our drinks at the bar. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. I paid for a Marriott experience but would have done much better at Motel 6. read more

Stayed here for my birthday. The light kept going off in the bathroom while my husband was in there taking a shower. The girl at the front desk said it is probably the motion censor and she would send someone up. I was getting ready to go to dinner and it was not convenient to have someone come to the room. Plus I did not want anyone there when I was not there. Then the cleaning lady was in our room when we went to breakfast before we checked out. She did not understand that we did not check out yet and she stripped the bed and was replacing the towels. Our suit cases were sitting out as we started to pack. I asked her to leave and come back after we check out to clean the room. But she did not understand what I was saying. I understood this is a brand new hotel and we loved the beach where it is located. I did let the same girl know when we checked out. Hope they train the employees better and fixed the motion sensor for the next guest. read more

Brand new element on the beach is beautiful but expect to be buckled and dined fore everything. Let me start with your experience when you drive up. Valet or Self Park. Valet will ask you for all your info to include name and phone number, and then tell you that's your cost of parking is $20 a day. If you tell them you are just checking in and will move the car they still want the info and will hound you for it. If you are going to charge for parking than provide the electric chargers free- nope. Electric charges are .35c a min plus .50c fee. If that is not enough, they will charge you for staying in the spot a .35c minute rate after the charge is done. Finally you get inside and the lobby is nice. The coffee is FREE. You have to ask for your upgrades if you have status. Breakfast is pretty good about the same as most elements, the coffee machine is a heat added addition. Now the next morning, to the beach expect to pay for chairs and what not at $15 an hour or $40 a day. Mine as well stay at the pool where it's free. Overall great hotel but if they want to be a resort than be one but if they want to nickel and dime for everything that is off putting. read more
