First, all of the staff were very friendly and eager to help. The room we had was poolside. We arrived to a very cool (temperature) room which was very appreciated since it was 90 degrees outside. The room is decorated retro, very cute. We were only there for two days but fit a longer stay I'm not sure I would stay here. It's an older place and has been renovated but there's no closet, just a rack on the wall, and the bathroom is small with very little counter space. The pool and lazy river was great after a few hours at the beach. All in all, not a bad stay.

I usually don't leave reviews. But, i wanted to warn others. If you are okay staying at a Hotel 6 type of place- then this is the hotel for you. For the price- we expected a nicer hotel. To be honest- it is more of a motel, than a hotel. Our car was parked right outside the door. The bathroom fan was so loud- it sounded like an airplane taking off. I have never heard of a bathroom fan this loud before. The water did not have good water pressure in the shower. It trickled out. There was mold on the bathroom floor grout. For the price- the rooms need to be renovated! I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. It is just too dumpy. Go somewhere better!!

What a diamond in the reef! Walking distance to the beach but why leave when you have a lazy pool river right here! outdoor bar, live music, movies for the pool people, restaurant,, plenty of outdoor seating. we will be back to stay a few days..

The lazy river was so nice

Nice Staff The lazy river pool was wonderful location is very good . Breakfast was yummy. Very family oriented. The rooms were nice & clean. It's an older hotel well kept though the bathrooms are dated & in need of being renovated.

    Hello everybody!
    Justin F.

Overall, a fair experience for the 2 nights we stayed. It's in a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach, and the kids enjoyed the pool immensely! They have food and drinks you can purchase on site, but we only opted for the included breakfast, which was predictably mediocre. Huge vat of Nutella was unexpected. The room itself is setup as a motel and really ought to be a cheaper price. Ours was clean enough, though the bathroom does need a full remodel. Shower was lacking in pressure but got the job done as far as temperature. Would've liked a handheld shower at that. There are many rooms that span the entire campus, including rooms upstairs, but ours in particular was like right next to the pool area and so lacking in privacy unless you pull the curtain the entire time. To my surprise, it was mostly quiet, with the exception of an inexplicable two hours on Friday evening when the hotel purposely ran a DJ out by the pool, which no one cared about and several actually complained. Aside of that, there was also a random movie they ran on the screen poolside that they decided to bump the bass up for that disturbed the quiet in my room as well. If not for all that, might've given 4 stars because the bed was pretty comfy. If management is reading this (and it seems they do check reviews), people go to hotels to rest. Stop being the ones to make noise!

We were so excited to see that Beachside Hotel and Suites had been "updated" when we arrived in Cocoa Beach for our two day trip to visit my mother-in-law... We were already booked to stay at the Sheraton next-door, which is outdated and worn. So, when we noticed that the Beachside Hotel and Suites had been updated to a retro/boutique hotel, we quickly looked to see if we could book it for our second night . We were pleasantly surprised that we could book it for the same price with more amenities (free beach chairs, better pool, and an actual outdoor area). This was a perfect opportunity to check out BHS for future visits and for my sister-in-law's family when they visit. We loved how they have leaned in to the retro/boutique hotel, vibe. (Be sure to read the review in it's entirety or you will think it is completely positive). Upon arrival, you are greeted with the cute retro sign at the entry and the lobby is bright and cheerful. The staff was plentyfyl, welcoming, and ever present throughout the property. The pool is not huge, but has a fun little lazy river going through it with lots of big yellow tubes for floating , there is a ton of lounge chairs with bright yellow umbrellas and it is extremely well maintained. The towels are thin and dinky (barely larger than a hand towel). Our entire visit, we saw staff scurrying around and picking up and keeping the property tidy and well-maintained. HOWEVER , the updates in the physical room are "lipstick on a pig. ". The furniture and lighting in the room is cute and retro and they've added convenient hooks and benches. The laminate flooring is so much better than gross old carpet at the Sheraton. But, the creature comforts of a good bed and nice bathroom with nice bathroom towels is where they have not updated and therefore I don't know that we'd ever stay at BHS again or recommend it to someone we know. The bathroom (at least in our room) has not been touched as part of the update and it was disgusting. Extremely old tile covered with mold, old dirt and a smell I couldn't identify, made me only want to get in and out of the bathroom as quickly as possible. In addition, there was remnants of the previous guest left in the shower. In addition, the mattress was squeaky and uncomfortable. (Everytime one of us moved, the other person would wake up), so it appears new mattresses were also not part of the update, nor the bedding and pillows which were old and dingy (with the acception of the top coverlet that you see in the website pictures (I always look for crisp bedding when judging a place online), so they fooled me with the pics online. In addition, when I initially folded back the covers, there was a huge brown hair. Thankfully, we had two beds, so chose to sleep in the second bed. The outside is well maintained and a fun vibe and the atmosphere feels like an inexpensive resort. We enjoyed a few hours by the pool in the late afternoon and after dinner we drank wine while sitting in colorful Adirondack chairs in the faux beach area and then this morning sat outside to drink our coffee, so there were parts of our stay (outside of the room) that were very pleasant. We did not visit their beach access but apparently chairs and umbrellas are complimentary which is a huge perk. In addition, there was a a movie screen at the pool and they played an evening movie for families, there were lots of fun games on a turfed area, they had a fun little beach bar by the pool and lots of seating throughout the property. They are clearly trying to turn around an old, previously completely outdated property, but based on what we experienced in our physical room, they have fallen short in some of the most important areas. All of the positives make it extremely disappointing that the negatives are such important things, because we really, really wanted to like it and based on what was online, were convinced we would. I'm really hoping that there is a plan to "finish" the update and they haven't stopped short of clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. The

Overall a great experience! A few hicups out of anyones control. We stayed on the 6th floor. Balcony with a great view! A few free things. Free breakfast, free bike rental and chairs and umbrella for the beach which is a 5 minute walk. Large room and a nice lazy river. Front desk was quick and easy. Amy was amazing! High five to her. Free book rental was good also. We walked to a speakeasy which was a kava and coffee bar. (Non alcoholic spot) Again 10 minutes away. Amazing location! Win dixie and publix within walking distance! The pier is only 1 mile away. For the price we absolutely will return the day before our next cruise!

Run, do not walk, from this hotel! Not worth the money that you will pay! This is more of an old motel than a hotel. It claims to be newly renovated but the only area that looked renovated was the pool area and front desk area. The bathrooms need a complete overhaul! The employees were friendly until we had problems. Absolutely horrible customer service. First, my husband's clothing was stolen. He left a very special hoodie and a pair of jeans by mistake when we checked out the first night (we were returning a week later from a cruise). We called the hotel 2 hours after we checked out and the individual we spoke to put us on hold and went to look for the clothing. When she got back on the phone several minutes later, she told us that she had found them and would hold on to them until we returned the following Saturday. They would be waiting for us with our name on them. Fast forward a week, we arrive to check in for the night and immediately ask for the clothes. No one knew a thing about it. Nothing was in lost and found and no one remembered talking to us. We waited for the next shift to come on duty and we inquired again and this gentleman was a little bit more helpful and concerned about where the clothing went. However, no clothes. Quite obviously, their employees stole them! But no one would admit that. Obviously, if we hadn't been told they had them and would hold them for us, we would have taken the blame for forgetting them, but they assured us they had them and would be there when we returned. The next day when we started the shower and the bathroom steamed up, flying gnats infested the bathroom coming out of the vent (hundreds of them). Unfortunately, we did not take the pictures until most of them were killed (Our first thought was to get rid of them since they were getting in our clothes). When we were checking out (again inquiring about our stolen clothes), we told them about the bugs and told them that between the stolen clothes and the flying bugs, we wanted some sort of compensation. The manager told us that we must have had the door open that's why we had the bugs! Why would we have the door open while showering and why would that even matter when they were coming out of the vent In the bathroom! He told us that he could not compensate us until the room was looked at even after we showed him the pictures! we received no compensation and no apology for either the bugs or the missing clothes! There were other things wrong with this hotel (mold, dirt and noisy if you were by the pool), but this review is long enough! As we were walking around Cocoa Beach, there were many other hotels that looked much nicer and were probably the same price if not cheaper than this bug infested "hotel."

    Cheers!
    Vanessa T.

I ended up choosing Beachide because we were doing a quick vacay in Cocoa beach and wanted a nice fun hotel for the girls trip and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for the room, maybe because it was a holiday weekend but rooms were outrageous like $400 a night! For cocoa beach!? I ended up booking here because it was like $300 for the night, it looked pretty and it came with breakfast! Pros: -The staff were all great! helpful and sweet, they let us check in early, and answered any questions we had! -The pool area! Wonderful! It's a lazy river pool in the middle of the property with a restaurant/ bar serving up pina coladas and fruity mamas so you can enjoy in the sun by the pool, even have a man made beach area with toys for kids to play with! This was Money well spend to make this pool area! - Free Breakfast, yum! it was a nice big spread with all the usuals, waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, great way to start the day! - great location, can walk to multiple things, beach, putt putt next door, Ron John surf shop right next door - free bike rentals! Cons: -oh Lordy the rooms need work, particularly the bathrooms, ours was yuck! it was older and kinda mildew smell, they would do good to renovate the bathrooms. -we ordered some food from their regular menu and it was just ok, wouldn't get again All in all we enjoyed our time here!!

Hands down one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. This "hotel" is more like a BUG-TEL. Sure, it has beach access and a nice view, but that's bait. Do not fall for it. The so-called "upgrades" are lipstick on a pig, and once you're inside, it's all downhill. Check-in was a joke; the front desk woman was curt, dismissive, and borderline rude. No welcome, no hospitality. Then I walked into my room... and it was over. Once I got in bed, I was eaten alive by bugs all night! It was like trying to sleep in a buffet--for the bugs. I couldn't rest because every time I tried to close my eyes, I felt something biting me. My son and mom (in a separate room) were asleep, so I literally sat outside on a chair all night long, reading just to avoid being attacked. The next morning, covered in bites and running on zero sleep, I told the front desk what happened. Did I get an apology? Nope. She actually acted like I was the problem. As if I would invent a story about bugs and being awake for 36 hours just for fun. Yes, the sunrise was nice. Yes, I saw two rocket launches and some cute little crabs on the beach. But no amount of "Florida charm" can make up for a night of torture. Bottom line: this place is a bug-infested, customer service-optional nightmare. The cheap price and pretty view are a trap. Pay more. Stay anywhere else. I am a Central Floridian and I know for a fact there are better options than this dump.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place does not live up to its advertisement claims or standards. The check-in process was handled by a female clerk who was extremely curt and rude. It was our first impression of Cocoa Beach, and honestly, it left a terrible taste. To make matters worse, we saw a woman with a teenage child checking in before us--despite the inn claiming to be an adults-only establishment. The clerk gave a dismissive speech about keys and parking passes, and when it was our turn, she asked, "You heard all of that correct, so I don't have to repeat it?" as if we were bothering her. She completely ignored a comment about her adorable fur baby walking behind the counter, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. We received a metal key (not a key card), and when we arrived at our room, the smell hit us--like mothballs or old linens. There is no elevator to access the second-floor rooms, so we had to carry our luggage up two flights of tiled stairs. The hallway was cluttered with construction boxes, which made the walk to our room less than welcoming. The biggest letdown was the so-called "beach view." The property falsely claimed to be on the beach, but the view was obstructed by tall brush and a parking lot, requiring a walk through the grounds, pool area, over a wooden bridge, and through brush to reach the beach. It was far from the direct, scenic beach access promised. The room itself was tiny--an efficiency size with a ceiling-mounted modem that blinked neon green all night, keeping us awake. The bed was the hardest and most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. The bathroom was minuscule; I could touch both walls with arms outstretched, which is astonishingly small for two adults. Their "free breakfast" was a complete sham. What they called "free" was more like a snack bar limited to a muffin, a tiny piece of quiche, a slice of toast (if you ask), a small shot of orange juice, and some coffee. The poached eggs and hot water setup for cooking eggs was ineffective--the water was never hot enough to boil. The toaster was broken, and the entire breakfast experience was a joke. The property was in severe need of updating, with construction materials cluttering the hallways, and the overall cleanliness and maintenance lacking. The parrots kept at the inn were beautiful but seemed stressed and shy, likely due to the poor conditions and neglect. Overall, this inn was an unpleasant, outdated, and misrepresented place that I would strongly advise avoiding. My husband had booked this inn for our 16-year wedding anniversary through Expedia and USAA. Since we did not get a name from the clerk who checked us out and took our keys, we were unable to get a refund. This location was so horrible, that we are fine with not getting a refund as at least we were able to stay at a better location for the remaining 3 nights we were staying in Cocoa Beach. This inn charges top dollar to stay here for false advertisement and to sleep in a broom closet that are old & extremely outdated, uncomfortable. After just one night, we checked out early and moved to a reputable hotel nearby, which turned our stay in Cocoa Beach from terrible to enjoyable. Save yourself the frustration/money and look elsewhere for accommodations.

The breakfast is homemade and delicious. I cannot recommend it enough. I've stayed here twice now (2019 & 2024) and both experiences were 10/10.

I didnt get pool or beach pictures as I didnt want to get my phone wet or overheat. But the pool has a mini step around the pool to place your drink. There is a mini bar to order your drinks while lounging by the pool. There isnt many seats by the pool but it wasnt that packed. If you go to the beach, you will need to rent a chair or umbrella unless you have one. The only shade provided is sitting under/beside the pier. But even then random water falls and from where it dropped did not look sanitary. The room was quiet except when the neighbors kept slamming their doors. There are elevators but it does have many stairwells to get up and down from your floor. Breakfast was nice. They had bi uits and grave, bacon, potatoes, eggs, cereal (4), yogurt, boiled egg, oatmeal, juice, coffee and waffles. They also have fresh fruit that we took to go on our way to NASA JFK center (only 30ish minutes away) There were a few places to eat nearby without having to get back on the main road.

I am still waiting on a refund from booking.com because of this double booking. Front desk was not much help and did not explain things thoroughly and clearly. This was a very frustrating process because the hotel was not any help with explaining why this happened or helping resolve the issue. The rooms were pretty nice though. Service 2/10
