First the elevator situation is incredibly frustrating, so much so that it made me not want to go down to the beach. I am able to walk down stairs pretty well, but am not able to walk up the stairs. We were on the 7th floor and there was only 1 somewhat functional elevator in service on property. The second elevator had a sign on it stating they were hoping to have it working by the end of March, but a resident that we spoke to said the sign had said February at one point. The functioning elevator was tiny, unreliable, and constantly stopped on the 3rd floor. Many times we waited between 5-10 minutes just for the opportunity to board. Also, the functioning elevator was not able to be used from the second and fourth floor, which I'm sure is illegal from an ADA standpoint. Second, the water was shut off 2 days in a row during our stay. The first day it was off between 10am-2pm which was no big deal. The second day was an unpleasant surprise and we were told it would be off between 8am and 2pm. Third, if you want to use the pool you better go early! People come out around 8am and claim all the chairs and tables in the pool area, so unless you beat them down there you won't have anywhere to sit. Overall our unit was nice but was in desperate need of upgrading in the common areas.

For the last 15 years we have been coming here and have stayed in probably 10 of the units. Each is individually owned so there is quite a variability in decoration, furnishings and electronics but they all have been very serviceable. The condos are 2 or 3 bedrooms and are a very decent size. It is right on the beach, with your own balcony with ocean view. The property has a very nice pool as well, shuffle board and putting green. There are the usual snowbird vacationers but still quite nice for the kids. We saw a great firework show from our balcony last night put on by the city. The management here is responsive and helpful. Each unit has a fully stocked kitchen (minus food!), access to washer and dryer (though ours had a set in the unit) and two full size bathrooms. The units are not luxurious but a good value. Some could use with updating or doing away with the ubiquitous beach theme decorations but overall they are comfortable, clean and convenient.

Three flat-panel TVs with many HD channels. The kitchen had everything you could want, including paper towels and detergent for the washer and dryer. The pool is amazing. The hot tub is great. The movie theatre has movies plus other events such as a magician. There are daily activities for people of ages. There is an on-site restaurant just off the lobby, and several restaurants within walking distance. Another big upside is the Publix grocery store less than 4 blocks away. The is, by far, among the nicest places I've ever stayed in my 60+ years of travel.

Great water pressure in the showers (always a thing I look for when traveling). Mostly pros with this place but cons are - the smell inside the main lobby made me nauseous. They had these air fresheners on the walls pumping out a vanilla smelling scent that was overbearing and made me sick. The room had a chemical type Oder but I bring my own Lysol spray everywhere which took care of that smell. The bar was closed the entire time , not sure why. There were close enough bars surrounding the property. Overall I would stay here again for the value.

Great in a pinch if you have to Uber/Lyft to get anywhere. Our room was very clean, non-smoking and spacious. It also had a balcony which was welcome and unusual these days - loved that! If you go to the beach, you will need to rent a chair or umbrella unless you have one. The only shade provided is sitting under/beside the pier. But even then random water falls and from where it dropped did not look sanitary. The room was quiet except when the neighbors kept slamming their doors. There are elevators but it does have many stairwells to get up and down from your floor. Breakfast was nice. They had bi uits and grave, bacon, potatoes, eggs, cereal (4), yogurt, boiled egg, oatmeal, juice, coffee and waffles. They also have fresh fruit that we took to go on our way to NASA JFK center (only 30ish minutes away) There were a few places to eat nearby without having to get back on the main road.

Booking.com will tell you anything to not return your money but MaryLynn explained how third parties such as them operate. It took well over an hour to cancel with booking.com and then they had to call MaryLynn while I'm there with her. They will complete the cancellation and return my deposit in full. (It will take 5 to 10 business days they said) DO NOT go through third party such as booking.com or Expedia. Call MaryLynn and/or whoever else is managing on her days off. My dog Fergus enjoyed some home cooking as well. It's a bit dated, but has the perfect beach shanty vibe. I loved the staff and the grounds are very well-maintained. The icing on the cake, was that up to two pets are allowed.

The hotel has a restaurant onsite as well. Checking in was easy and fast. Upon checking in, the clerk acknowledged my status with Bonvoy. I was given a gift bag which contained two water bottles, a bag of chips, a couple pieces of chocolate, and a granola bar. That gesture was well received and appreciated. The lobby is extremely spacious with many seating areas. The restaurant is located in the back area. The coffee station is located across from the restaurant/bar, along side the hydration station. There are hydration stations located on the 1st and 5th floor. I think there might be a hydration station located on the third floor as well. The pool is located in the back of the building. There's also a separate seating area across from the pool. The area is like a lanai or extended porch seating with a fire pit and an unattended bar. I stayed in room 221 on the second floor. The room was nicely decorated in neutral colors. The room included a kitchenette with a dishwasher, refrigerator, two burners, a microwave, paper towels, dishwashing soap and a sponge, and all utensils and cooking wares. On the kitchen counter were two small water bottles, coffee, and teas. Across from the kitchenette is a spacious bathroom with shower tiled in the herringbone pattern. The floors are laminated wood. The bed is a king bed coupled with four pillows. The bed was comfortable, however, the pillows were not very comfortable. The room did have a smell that felt unpleasant to me, but after being in the room, I wasn't bothered by the smell. The water pressure was good. The television worked perfectly. There's laundry rooms located on floors 3 and 5. I used the washing machine and dryer in the 5th floor, and they worked great. I purchased a single load detergent for $2. Overall, I would stay here again. I liked the convenience, I liked the recognition for being a loyal member, I liked the room and how fresh and clean everything looked after three years. FYI: cruise transportation is available at about $11 per person until about 12:30. For those who stream videos, the apps on the television worked as well. Washing machine and dryer costs $2 each.
