This was probably the worst experience I've ever had in my life. My skin has glue all around the nail, the polish isn't even painted on the edges which are rough and jagged. After 35 years of getting my nails done with every kind of nail that you can imagine, I would call this place THE WORST that I've ever seen!!!!!! After waiting in line and 5 people being seated before me, I was taken to a chair, and yet somehow was up and done in 18 minutes!!! The nail tech seemed upset and RUDE that I didn't want shellac!! I don't like shellac, and I don't need to be treated like that because I don't want to pay more money for something I don't want!!! Whatever happened to good old-fashioned customer service?!! It literally went out the window with these Vietnamese salons!!! I was up FASTER than anyone else who had been seated before me!!! The rebase was sloppy, bumpy, nails not painted correctly with many bare spots, and I even had nail material underneath sticking out and my previous nail color still on the sides!!!! I asked for the owner, but she was not there, and the other lady told me they can fix it for me, but I had to go to work. This business felt like I was in a cattle drive, and I will NEVER return. I had a great experience at elegant nails. The staff was very friendly and the gentleman who did my nails took his time and they look great. I went in at 5pm on a Wednesday without an appointment. There was no wait. I got a full set of glitter gel and was in and out in about an hour. I've been to Elegant Nails about 15 times and it's either really good or really bad. The last time it was really bad! I got John... if you ever get John say no thanks I will wait for someone else! He did a rush deluxe pedicure forgot to trim my left foot, polish all over my edges, my "free design " was 4 lines and 3 dots done on the right side on both feet. I pointed out he did the design on right side on both feet and he just shrugged and asked for payment. I'm an excellent tipper like 40% too bad John didn't see that side of me and like a fool I tipped that fool $5. There place is s hot mess, polish everywhere not clean and just cluttered. They have shoe boxes full of color... how does a person find s color digging through shoe boxes? If you do go ask for Mary or Bay they take good care of you. If I could give zero stars I would! I can't express enough, don't go here!! The place was unsanitary, the customer service was non existent. I asked for dip with tips and my manicurist did not do it properly or follow the procedure. She rushed my service and I was left with crooked and uneven nails, she had no attention to detail at all. During filing she made my fingers underneath bleed because she was so rough. Finally she painted on the dip with a paintbrush (1 coat). She told me this would make them "stronger". My nails were not properly coated and you could see all of her mistakes and some areas you could see the plastic underneath because she missed spots. It's called dip for a reason because it's supposed to be dipped and painted with a clear coat 3-4 times. This was a downright shitty experience/ job done wrong. I went home and fixed her work myself. Sure it was only $35 but you get what you pay for! Don't go here!!! read more

I've been recommended to this salon by coworkers for months. I went in on a Saturday morning with no appointment, so I expected a wait. There were about 10 people waiting in the tiny lobby, but I was told a 20 minute wait, to go have a seat in the back of the shop. I waited as 20 and then 30 minutes passed. When it got to an hour and I still hadn't been seen, I walked out. Not one person acknowledged that I was back there waiting or that I walked out. I am usually happy with my services here i usually always get the acrylics that i ask for. but almost everytime, the ladies have cut my fingers with the drills or nail file and just say "oh sorry" and then continue on to do it again. i also get a gel re base each time which seems to differ in price range even though its the same service every time.. ive paid up to 80$ just for gel. the pedicures though are horrible. a lady with blue hair or some colored hair did mine and i went on to explain to her that my wedding was the next day so i really need them perfect. all i wanted was the red paint and a flower on the big toe. she proceeded to paint them, not painting each nail fully, like a whole part was missed on each toe and when she put the flower on it looked nothing like the picture i showed so i asked to take it off. i also asked that she repaint my toe nails since they looked so funky not being fully painted, which she did with no problem because i think she knew they didnt look right and i ended up leaving with just red on my toes. when she was doing the pedicure she did not get all the dead skin off like the times before i had been there they dont take the time to make sure you are satisfied they just do what they need to do and get you out the door. and the "scrub" she scrubbed my legs with hurt so bad, maybe thats a part of the pedicure tho.. i doubt it. i give it 3 stars most. read more

This used to be a great place - I went every 10-14 days for shellac manicure & at least every 3 weeks for pedicure for the last 9 months. It was never super clean, but now so busy it's dirty. I say USED TO BE because they've changed their customer service and staff attitudes are often not friendly and customer-centered. Some staff are now downright grumpy! Also, it says free design, but they either refuse the design you request or charge extra! Used to be you could request by showing a photo & no problem, they'd do a great job. Brag worthy designs were no issue in the past. Now they refuse many design requests and charge $2-$5 extra for design as simple as a few lines on an accent nail. Not sure what's going on, but I've worked too hard for my money to be treated that way. I won't be back and I've told others I referred there about the issues. At least 1 friend (there yesterday) was poorly treated, charged extra for a 2nd color on an accent nail. She's been there along with 2 daughters in the past, but she's not going back either. read more

I've been going here for years since before they moved locations a few units down because I love their affordable prices and free designs. But the last couple years this place has gone to trash. This last visit for me was the last straw. I made an appointment and had to wait for 40 minutes while others just walked in and for service right away. What's the point of having an appointment? A couple of my nails were oddly shaped and I got cut several times from the nail file drill but I let it slide. I got home and noticed two of my nails were already cracking and peeling with wet paint underneath. I got acrylic with gel polish and the bottom layer never dried. I came back the next morning to get them fixed and asked for them to please be repainted. Nope. The lady just put a top coat on, barely filed them and sent me on my way. Well now they're ALL peeling and the base coat is still wet underneath! Disgusting! I will never come back here again. Despite the good prices they provide horrible customer service and the facility and practices seem to be quite unsanitary now. Very disappointing. read more

The lady told my mom for me to come back in and get them taken off and give me my money back. I did just that and the lady asked to see them she said they looked great. My nails always look good when I leave but I have noticed that the cleanliness is lacking a little bit, most recently when I went I had to have my old nails taken off and they just pried them off causing my thumb to bleed badly and instead of stopping to clean my nail off she kept going with blood all over her fingers now as well. While I know I don't have anything that could cause harm, there is no guarantee that others don't and no telling how many times that has happened as I saw her pry my friends old nails off the following week as well also causing her to bleed. Overall they aren't very hygienic but the work is good and they are kind however hygiene and not letting blood contaminate others should be the upmost importance. read more

But the down side to this place is the smell of acetone is so strong that I started to get nausea and had the worse headache and wanted to throw up! On Sunday, the gel melted off one of my nails, probably because the manicurist didn't give enough time under the light to actually cure. We just went after a long time gone, and the salon was dirty and run down (old nail polish bottles, looks like it hadn't been vacuumed or dusted in a long time, finger nail clippings, etc.) It became very clear with how fast they rushed through the pedicure they are now only concerned about money and not doing a good job. This place is horrible waited 25 minutes when I had an appointment told them specifically how I wanted my nails done couldn't even do them the right way they were still thick, different lengths, some were narrow some wide. I constantly bite my nails and I told him that I haven't gotten acrylics since I moved here 6 months ago and that I'm very picky with them because I have two different thumbs. He asked me if they looked okay throughout the entire time and he gave me exactly what I was looking for!! Here I am, three weeks later and I have ABSOLUTELY NO chipping, lifting, NOTHING!! Besides my outgrowth, they still look brand new! I got a full set (gel) with two marble designs on each hand for $30. Like, holy crap! Good pedicure, terrible manicure. I went in for a pedicure and was so pleased that I went back a couple of days later for a manicure. The manicure was terrible. I showed the technician what I wanted, which was essentially a glittery French tip on my natural nails. I asked TWICE if this was something they could do. I had a backup color in case they said no. In my opinion I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. What I got was a bunch of silver glitter caked onto my nails. When they filed my nails they ended up worse than they were before I went in. The entire experience felt rushed. I believe that if I'm paying for something I should leave satisfied. I was not satisfied this time around. I still paid, but I would never go back. read more

Im came in today for a manicure and to have my toe nails painted. I have been here several times and really enjoyed mu experience. However, my experience today was not pleasant and I am on the verge of tears. I had a nail tech named Susan that was not very nice at all. She was really rough with me and cut me several times. I understand these thinga happen from time to time and can deal with it. She kept filing a nail that I informed her she waa hurting and rolled eyes and put some sort of green solution on it. I then heard her speak to her co-workers on how I was being a complainer and states awwwe ehhh. She proceeded to paint my toe nails trying to bend my knees under the nail table to a position they would not move to and was hurting me again. She finished painting my toe nails and only put a clear coat om one toe. When I asked her if she was to going to put a coat on all my toes she said she did and stood up and got loud in front of everyone. I was so embarrased!!! I do not like confrontation and paid and left. I felt like I was a bother and they did not need or want me there. Getting your nails is not a cheap expense I just feel horrible about it all and my nails look terrible. I have always recommended this nail salon and when friends said they wernt good I did not believe them....I do now and I guess maybe its time to find another salon. I will reach out to the owner when she returns just to let her know. All I wanted to do was get my stinking nails done...smh read more
