Okay this is my first time being at this salon and I felt like I didn't tip good because I didn't realize how much to bring but I'm coming back on Saturday to give this young lady a good tip once I get paid and i would rate my experience very well 10/10 first time getting a pedicure and as a person who is very ticklish I didn't feel none of that. The young lady who did my toes was very nice and did them very nicely asking me questions and making sure I loved my nails. I wasn't felt rush which honestly I would understand since I did get there at 6pm and they close at 7 but the nice young lady still did my pedicure and gave me spa treatment. I popped in here as a walk-in a little before 9am. They were so kind and helped me right away. They kept getting busier as the morning went on, but still took their time and did a great job with both my manicure and pedicure. This salon is the worst I have ever been to. I asked for a short acrylic nail set and they asked me to pick a nail polish color. I told them I didn't want a color and just the simple acrylics, they told me to sit down and started to paint them with gel. I then told them that was not what I asked for and they told me since I didn't ask for a color they didn't want to do it. I am disappointed and very angry that I payed for a service I didn't ask for and for the workers to be rude to me. I strongly suggest that nobody should go to this salon. I've been to this place about 6 times, mostly because they accepted walk-ins. Only TWO of those times I had a good experience. They acted as if I was such a burden for coming in to get my nails done and then they did a terrible job with my nails. Twice they've cut me so bad I had to have glue placed to stop the bleeding. mind you, I always ask for a simple, single color nail design. This last time I was going to a wedding abroad and not only was I cut on two of my fingernails but the polish was bumpy, splotchy, and uneven. My 7 year old niece could've done this nail job and yet I paid $60. I vowed to never return. Super overpriced for poor quality work. I won't be returning. read more

If I could give this place -5 stars I absolutely would! I walked in this establishment with my mom at 5pm asking for a full set and pedicure, my mom needed the same. The lady at the front desk said she can only service my mom as they were fully booked and did not have enough time to do both of us. Mind you they don't close until 7pm. We wait for about 5 minutes, a gentleman waved me to come over to begin my pedicure. I was confused as the lady said they cannot service me but he began to run the pedicure water. The guy and lady disappeared to the back. After about 20 minutes of my feet just soaking in the water, the guy comes back out to tell me he can no longer service me and that somebody else "will do for me". As all of this is going on, about 4 more people walk in to get serviced, nails and pedicures. I continue to sit for about another 15 minutes and finally asked the lady what's going on. She said "I already told you we cannot service you, we don't have enough time and not enough people." I'm looking around like okay why are you guys able to service the people who came in after me but can't service me. She couldn't give me an answer. I walk outside to wait for my mom who only started her pedicure because dude started mines at the same time. My mom is texting me telling me that the lady was telling someone else they won't service me because of my kind is to picky with our nails. When I go in to confront her, she admits to saying it and begins to tell us we can come back another time and maybe someone else will be willing to service me. If that's not racist at its finest, idk what is! Will never give this establishment my money! read more

I had been here a handful of times and everyone was always really nice. The last time I came it was an utter disaster. They tried to charge me double what they normally did (I don't think the recognized me in my hat with no makeup), and made me wait 1.5 hours past my appointment time, not even having time to do my pedicure. Woman who did my nails was so rude. Tugging on my arm and making snide remarks the whole manicure. I almost cried / walked out multiple times. Such poor treatment. I will never return. This place was so great! I made an appointment and had to wait a bit because they were short staffed but it was not a big deal and they were very nice about it. I got a pedicure and then Cindy did my manicure and she was great! She worked so fast with so much attention to detail and made sure I liked it every step of the way. This manicure was $67- $50 base rate and they charge extra for the gel, length, and because I got two colors, and the pedicure was $32. I will definitely be back!! Happened to me on two different occasions. I had another appt for a brow wax and I showed up for appt., my 9:00 tech was walking out of shop at 9 when I was arriving, to walk to Starbucks! 3 Strikes , enough!!!! Nail Salons are all over, many choices. You should be respected where you spend your money. Not feel "deflated" after paying over $100 for Beauty Services. Pedicure was great. Polish is lasting well and the massage was lengthy. Worth the money. Unfortunately I also got a full set of acrylic nails with gel polish. Within 4 days the tips had chipped badly on 3 of my fingers. I ended up coming down with covid a few days after I had them done so I wasn't doing anything rough with my hands at all, just laying around feeling sick! typically a new full set lasts at least 2 and a half weeks for me. My friend and I went in for pedicures during a girl's weekend. The techs were rude and rough. I kept pulling back because the tech was hurting me while filing and he yanked my foot back toward him. My gel polish is uneven and is already peeling off. My friend has already had to visit another salon to have her gel removed because her toes started blistering and tingling. $78 for a crappy pedicure seems excessive. Will not be back. read more

First of all I've been coming to Five Star off and on for over 15 years as a local to the area. I've now moved 40 minutes south and after trying every salon in my area have found myself returning again. (Yes, I commute this far to get my nails done!) I see the Owner, Tracey, who owns the salon with her Husband now and is the sweetest lady I've ever dealt with getting acrylics. My preference is someone I can make small talk and thankfully I have found this again. They take pride in running this salon and thank each customer for their business and return each time. Not only does my Mom who lives nearby go here but I have so many other relatives and friends who do too. This is a top salon for the area and you will not be disappointed. The 1st time I went to 5 Star Nails Adam did my pedicure. He did a good job and I returned recently. This time he literally butcheted my big toenails. He cut them down into the quick under my nail causing it to be raw and very sore. The sides of my right big toe are extremely tender and hurt when I walk. I am still having a lot of problems 4 days later. I am diabetic and wounds on my feet are very serious. In addition, he used a polish that was old and thick without asking me to choose a better one. I saw this place when I was desperate for an eyebrow wax, and based on yelp reviews decided to try it out. They took me right away to a private room. I told her I didn't want above the eyebrow waxed because I had been breaking out there. She waxed the rest and offered to pluck above the eyebrow instead. I thought this was a very nice touch and I was really happy with the result. The kicker was when she only charged me $8! I couldn't believe it. I'll definitely make this my new eyebrow place. I do want to note that it definitely has that nail-salon stench that some reviewers below said it doesn't have. I think this is really important to be honest about because pregnant women shouldn't spend time in a nail salon but will sometimes do so if it is well ventilated.
