I was later told they had already applied a discount of around $190, but that didn't address my main concern. If I had been told the full out-of-pocket cost before the procedure, I would have declined it altogether. A discount on a service I never would have agreed to doesn't change the fact that I wasn't given the information I needed to make an informed decision. The office also accused me of trying to leave without paying, which was completely untrue. I was trying to discuss payment options because I couldn't afford the unexpected balance. At the time, they were unwilling to work with me. Then, months later, I received calls offering a payment plan while also threatening to send the account to collections. That was frustrating because I had already tried to resolve the matter much earlier. I also attempted to negotiate a settlement by offering to pay a significant portion of the balance immediately. Instead of having a respectful conversation, I was told no. When I asked to speak directly with Dr. Greg Myers, the conversation became extremely unprofessional. In my experience, he spoke to me disrespectfully, used profanity, and ultimately hung up on me while I was trying to resolve the issue. I found that behavior unacceptable from a healthcare professional. My interactions with the front desk staff, including Kara, were also disappointing. I did not feel heard, respected, or treated like a valued patient. Overall, this experience left me feeling misled about costs and poorly treated when I tried to work out a reasonable solution. I would encourage anyone considering this office to ask for a detailed written estimate of all costs before agreeing to any treatment and to make sure they fully understand what their insurance will and will not cover.

Unfortunately, it feels that asking questions makes Dr. Myers annoyed or that he does not truly listen to what you are saying, and simply runs to his defense. I would consider returning based on the efficiency of the root canal itself and it being relatively close to me in Solon, but the overall experience with the dental staff made me hesitant to do so (the front desk people were great). Additionally, while waiting, I overheard the doctor telling other patients how superior his work is and that his process should not be questioned. While confidence is important, bedside manner is equally critical. Patients who are in pain and seeking help want to feel heard and respected, not patronized.
