The owner of Electropedic in Burbank, CA is totally unprofessional. A family member of mine spoke with him on the phone and after a couple of conversations said, "Do you think a business wants to sell to you?" I jumped in and asked him if he thought was professional. He began by saying the company has been around for 57 years. He then asked me what professionalism is. How can an owner of any company not know the definition of professionalism? Also, he was talking to others in the business while talking to a customer. He also focused on number of returns and making profit. The owner basically attacked my family member's character and tried to attack reputation as well which is slander. So, I will not be purchasing any items from this company, and I encourage others to vote with their dollar and not keep an owner in business who focuses solely on profit and returns. Meet him once, and he is nice. Ask him multiple questions, and he will become upset because he is not making a sell. Don't take to heart what the owner says at face value. In March I bought a $1500 scooter from this place. It has never worked correctly. It has been in the shop three times in 4 months. It dies on me after driving it one mile. Today I had to have a friend come and push me home. I have scooted a little more than one mile a on a full charge before it Died. It does not have enough power to go up the handicap ramps at the corners of the blocks. It took 25 minutes for me to go 8 houses...one foot, then it dies. They first said they don't know what the problem is. Then they put a new motor and wanted to charge me...we refused to pay since we had it less than 4 months. Even with the new motor it only scoots about 1.5 miles before it dies. Now they just play dumb. Nothing is being done to make sure it doesn't die in the middle of the street, which it has done various times. I have all these problems on video. read more

Had a bad experience. I ordered a electric bed with upgraded mattress's, vinyl covers and multiple sheet sets on July 3rd. I was told it would be delivered on July 5th. On July 5th I received a call saying they were out of stock on the bed and did not know when they would have it in stock. I finally had it delivered on July 17. Only 1 mattress was delivered, the wrong vinyl covers were delivered, and the sheet sets only had a fitted sheet. On July 20 the mattress and vinyl covers were delivered, but no sheet sets. Finally on July 21 the sheet sets delivered. Needless to say I will not use them again or recommend them read more

My elderly friend had a mishap during moving his mother's Electropedic adjustable bed and needed to replace a part. The company has no website for ordering parts or even discussing repairs. I called the 800 number and was given a website to handle that problem The website, Electriopedicservice.com was only a repeat of the other websites that offered no help at all. The person on the telephone could have asked me what I needed and explained that they do not have a website to handle parts or repairs. It would have saved me a lot of trouble. This is the second bed I've purchased from this manufacturer. The first bed was great - no problems. After 15 years I decided I wanted a smaller bed. I traded my old bed in and got a queen size. In the 3 years that I've had the bed I have had to replace - top massage motor and blanket cover, hand control, foot riser, all 4 blanket cover (the technician was shocked at the condition of the massage blankets. They were completely tattered). For all parts I had to pay shipping costs and all except the first 2 I paid a technician to replace the parts. I've had the misfortune of buying a $5000.00 adjustable bed from this company and have had nothing but trouble with,not only the bed, but the owner of the company. A week after delivery, the remote controls stopped working correctly. Then the owner , when I contacted him, refused to talk with me on the phone and told me, through dictation to his secretary, that it wasn't his problem!! After dealing with the salesman who sold me the bed, he sent someone out to find the problem, however this problem persists to this day and this company refuses to honor their warranty opting to obfuscate the problem and basically brush me off. Do your self a favor and if you're thinking of buying a new bed, please go to a reliable company who honors their customer service. Their slogan is "Your Comfort Is Everything." It should be "Your Comfort means nothing to us after we get your money." Can you imagine paying $5000.00 for a bed and it literally doesn't work?? They actually told me that I should get on the floor and crawl around under the bed to look for loose wires!! Can you imagine that? I'm disabled and that was my reason for purchasing an adjustable bed. I thought I would patronize a local establishment, boy was I ever wrong. I'm also under the impression that they are selling or reusing used mattresses and adjustable bases, although that's an allegation which I cannot prove at this time.Upon delivery of the bed there was actually blood on the bedding that was part of the purchase. After I complained to one of the sales people about it, he told me that an employee has a problem with nose bleeding!!! REALLY??? How could you trust a company like this? I would never buy anything from these people again. The 5 star ratings which praise this company, must have been written buy family members of the owners or these folks got very lucky with their purchases. So here I am stuck with a $5000.00 piece of junk bed which is subject to breaking at any given time. I have had the pleasure of owning and restfully sleeping on an Electropedic adjustable bed now for almost 12 years. I have never had a problem with their product, with the exception of when I travel...because I can't take the bed with me. I purchased the bed for the adjustability and heavy foam mattress as it helps me deal with both a long term lumbar spine injury and with stomach reflux. The bed frame is top quality steel, does not require a wooden box surrounding the components (like most others) and the motors powering the bed have been completely trouble free. The ONLY thing I have ever had to do is replace the 9 volt battery in the remote control every few years. The construction and the component are first quality. The service was excellent when they delivered and installed the bed, even though I live in northern CA. Best of all, the price for this product was less than other competitors, one who at the time I purchased were offering a 'free' TV with their bed. No surprise the competitor was charging several hundred dollars more for their product. read more

I bought this bed 20 plus years ago and still going strong. I selected two extra long twins (king). My friends say its the most comfortable bed in the world! ! ! I have had no problems what so ever with the motor, controls, or the mechanics. Only recently I ordered a few of the plastic pieces that the caster wheels slip into and was pleasantly surprised at the low cost. They even threw in a few extra. read more
