The sales associates in the entertainemt department were great in helping me, they even honored the online price and I got $100 off, that's a win! I wanted a Lenovo because my current laptop is a Lenovo and I've had it for 6 years and it still works perfectly. The only reason I need a new one is because mine has Windows 10 and Windows 11 can't be installed on it and Microsoft is ending the updates for Windows 10 this year. I told them I would by it if they transferred the files from my old computer to the new one on a flash drive. The salesman said they charge $180 for that. $180 for some $20 an hour employee to spend a few minutes to do it is ridiculous. I can watch a YouTube video on how to do it for free. Since Best Buy opened up in Salinas, I have bought two sets of washers and dryers, a refrigerator, and a stove. They delivered them and installed them for free. I have also bought 4 TVs. I can buy a Lenovo laptop from Amazon and have at least a dozen in my price range to choose from. Best Buy had only one. Best Buy, and many other brick and mortar stores don't seem to realize the one thing they have to offer that online stores can't. Service! Which is one of the reasons they are in serious financial trouble like many other brick and mortar stores. I'll willing pay a little more for service, but if you can't offer that, I'll just start buying online more than I already do.

True to their word - they called me that day. I called them back Wednesday morning. They quoted $130 and advised it would be ready latest Monday depending on when they could get the battery. Much to my surprise they called me around 5 pm Thursday and let me know it was already ready. They are open until 6 pm on weekdays so I was able to go and pick it up right away. I'm happy that I was able to get it sooner so to minimize the work I needed to get done for my business. Note: I'm sure I could have replaced it myself but it literally looked like it would blow any minute so I didn't want to take the chance and they also take care of battery disposal which I didn't want to deal with.

The best goods are sold on those two days and the prices on Saturday are $10 an item and on Sunday it's $8. I work from home most of the time, so I get there on Thursday when the prices are only $1 an item and after 4pm, it goes down to $.50. They close on Friday to restock. There are rows of bins of items you can pick through, anywhere from Christmas lights to glass mugs to USB cables. Maybe I'll come down on the weekend to see what it looks like fully stocked.

Josh did an excellent and cost effective diagnoses on my old PC and helped me design out and build a new, quieter and more energy efficient PC going forward with an intel i5 Hex CPU, DDR4 memory, MSI motherboard and other important parts moved over from my older machine.
