Since they were not responding to texts or calls, we sent a certified letter to the business asking for an update or our deposit back by December 1. Today is December 1 and we still have not heard anything from the business. The lack of communication feels deceptive. I am concerned that they are just trying to rob us of our deposit and am prepared to take legal action.

He's the type of person who acts like he's doing you a massive favor by showing up, then gets angry when you expect basic professionalism in return. There are dozens of painting companies in the area that will treat you with respect, communicate clearly, and actually fix what they messed up. This is not one of them. Save yourself the headache and the money. Go anywhere else. Thomas - if you're reading this: maybe try being less hostile to the people who are paying you thousands of dollars. Patrick convinced us to go with a Kohler generator versus a Generac or any other brands because of the efficiency and after doing some independent research, I did not disagree with his assessment. Unfortunately, we've had some issues with the unit over the years, and this company becomes less and less visible with each and every time that they are needed. I would say that Kohler is the brand to go with but find another authorized installer and service company that handles Kohler, which is not this company. They are a one tech company with owners who are completely removed from the day to day.

It finally dawned on me that when I really need it to perform in an emergency it needs to work, and professional maintenance is essential. I reached out to Generator Power Solutions some years ago. I didn't know them nor was I sure of their reputation or their professionalism. I was lucky! They annually perform a nuts to bolts inspection, change oil & filter and make sure the machine is performing to specs and is ready to work properly whenever needed. Their office staff has always been pleasant, courteous, and professional and their techs have been top notch. Sue has serviced my machine for the past several years and has been great! She knows her stuff, takes her time and doesn't leave until she's satisfied that the generator is fully up to specs and ready to work if called upon. I couldn't be more pleased with this business! I wish all businesses were as dependable and competent as these folks, they have earned my unequivocal recommendation!

Since we had seen pictures and videos of the flooring being done in other garages, and because the tech was so great, we decided to go ahead with it. He told us they were booking 8 weeks out and that someone would call us to schedule an appointment. We gave him a hefty deposit. Weeks passed and we did not hear from anyone to schedule, so we called. We did not feel it was good business practice to take our deposit and not call within a few days to schedule. We made our appointment. The day came when our garage floor was to be done. We had moved everything from our garage into our living room the night before. The installers came and tested the floor for moisture and said they could not install and would try again the following day. This was very frustrating because no one told us that moisture could delay the installation and we had a living room full of items from our garage. They came back several times before they were finally able to install, and every time was last minute, no appointment made. Good thing my wife works from home. How do they expect people to be available at a moments notice? During the weeks we waited, we went back and forth about whether to cancel and decided the whole ordeal was so annoying and decided to cancel. I emailed the company to tell them this. The owner called me and refused to give us our deposit back, claiming materials had already been purchased and it's in the contract that deposits are non-refundable. I argued that he was the owner and could refund our deposit if he wanted to and that the color we picked was very common so I believe they could have used it on someone else. I also argued that no one explained about the moisture and this should be made very clear to anyone considering having this process done. He wouldn't budge. We had to either lose the 1k+ deposit and not get the floor done or deal with this frustrating booking experience and shell out another 2k to have it done. We decided to go ahead. Finally the garage was complete. A few days later we got a call from someone to arrange for a payment to be made. I explained to her that the job wasn't even done yet! (We had also scheduled our front steps to be done but of course they were too wet!) She had no idea the job wasn't complete and told us she would call back when it was. Finally the day came to do the steps (again after several attempts at checking moisture levels). A couple weeks passed and I got a voicemail, "I have been trying to call you to arrange a payment." She didn't say her name, or what company she was calling from! And she hadn't called/left a measage before that. So rude and unprofessional. We made the payment and are done with this company. If you want a very frustrating experience and want to deal with rude, unprofessional people, this is for you. Otherwise, run the other way! The floor is nice but every time I look at it I'm reminded of the jerks we had to deal with to get it installed.
