We called Silva Electric a few days ago when we lost electricity to several outlets in the house…read more After checking the circuit panel and finding nothing out of the ordinary, we decided we had to call a professional. We scheduled an appointment with Silva and technician Tony arrived promptly. After running a few tests, Tony discovered that one of the outlets had been overloaded and actually burned a wire behind the faceplate. He warned us that we were fortunate, as it could have started an actual fire. He replaced the damaged outlet and power was restored. Tony was very professional and patiently explained what was going on and gave us some tips on how to prevent similar hazards in the future. I would highly recommend Silva Electric for your electrical repair needs.

She told me that she will send this message to the office and they will give me a call on Monday. I waited until afternoon but they never called me. I called again that day and same person I spoke to. I told her the same thing. She asked me if this is emergency. I just told her yes because my garage won't open. She told me again that she will send the message to the office. I waited until today but never called me. If they don't do minor problems at least they should tell me so I don't have to wait for their call. I wouldn't recommend this company. No professionalism at all.

The downstairs restroom outlets at a property we own suddenly stopped working…read more The bathrooms themselves don't have GFCI outlets, but we tried resetting all the GFCIs we could find in the house with no luck. That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. Thanks to Meigs, he saved me at least $350 of the visit and solved the issue in 10 minutes over the phone. He absolutely could've skipped the troubleshooting and charged the service fee, but he chose to help instead, and that says a lot about his integrity. Highly recommend. Thank you, Meigs!

It caused water damage to the flooring, wall, and downstairs ceiling. I notified him of the issue and Albert said I should call my insurance company because he was going on a camping trip. I called my insurance company and it unfortunately made a negative impact on my insurance. I contacted Albert several times in an attempt to get his company's insurance information, but no luck. After doing some research, I was able to get his insurance information and reported the incident. My insurance was able to deal with his insurance. It was an extremely bad experience and would caution potential customers. My father also had a unit installed at his house by Albert's company and they did not install the unit to code or correctly, where it was having issues. My father had to pay $1,800 (different company) to get it fixed. I had high hopes for this company, but it was such a negative and stressful experience to deal with.

Brisano Electric may do excellent electrical work. What they do not do, apparently, is to provide…read morefree estimates as advertised on their website. I contacted Brisano Electric because one of our electrical outlets stopped working. I asked them to provide the free estimate they offer in their ads so I'd know what they would charge to fix the failed outlet. "You're asking us to do trouble-shooting," I was told. "We charge a one-hour minimum to do troubleshooting." How much is the one-hour? I asked. "That's $75." So, you don't do free estimates? "We don't do free trouble-shooting." Semantics perhaps. But they can't give a free estimate without arriving at some conclusion as to what the electrical problem may be. Given that, their advertising is deceptive. It will generate calls from customers expecting a free visit to scope out the problem and identify the cost to repair it. Those customers will then be told they must commit to a paid visit.
