I bought a brand new Tesla and was in desperate need of finding a company to install an electric charger as soon as possible. My friend highly recommended Absolute Electric so I reached out and scheduled an appointment (about a week out for booking). In the beginning, I was totally confused whether or not I needed the Tesla wall charger or the Nemah 14-50. After doing my research I went ahead with the installation of Nema 14-50. The day of my appointment to people arrive to install my Wall charger in my garage. There was a small problem locating space in my breaker box but they quickly resolve the problem and had everything installed under an hour. They were very knowledgeable about Tesla and they're charging systems (which made me feel comfortable). It cost me around $500 with a year warranty in parts and labor. Absolute Electrical, Inc. Dave Harmon, owner. August 10, 2022 I called Absolute Electrical to solve an open wire issue on my GFCI circuit. The GFCI had power and was working, but the bathroom and outdoor receptacles (GFCI circuit) had no power. Within 30 minutes of Dave's arrival, (owner), he was able to identify the source of the open circuit. His experience and knowledge lead him to the likely source (old suit case connector splicing). Dave replaced all of the old splicing (7 boxes) with new wire nut splices, receptacles and face plates. This took him 2 hours. I doubt if other electricians would be as efficient. What was also nice of Dave, he explained everything, showed me the issue, and what he would do to make it electrically safe and sound. He was very transparent with his work, and a willing teacher. I had some trouble with the GFI outlets in my house tripping and not resetting. called them on Monday morning. They said that he should be there in the afternoon. We had a big job, a whole home rewire, and had gotten many quotes for the work. Dave's quote was reasonable and fell in the middle of pack. What I appreciated about Dave's quote was that he took the time to walk through the house and itemize each task. Most of the other companies just gave an estimate using sq footage. Moved to East Bay in December 2013. Dave came to us through a trusted channel - a referral from our A/V Consultant. We initially hired Absolute Electric as a 3rd party contractor to wire our home theater (surround speaker wiring, Plasma TV wiring/mounting and providing the correct power to run the system). When we realized that our new home had limited recessed lighting and what was here was old incandescent, Dave removed all the existing lighting, retrofitted new LEDs and also installed over a dozen new LED recessed lights. Dave is a pro, his work is clean and he delivers on your expectations. This review is long overdue, but my recent interactions with Dave reminded me I needed to write a review for him!! We've used Dave a few times for electrical work and he has always done a wonderful job. When we first moved into our home two years ago we had an old style breaker box( I can't remember what the old style is called, but is was probably original to the home from the 60's). We called another electrician, but my husband couldn't stand him. Second we called Dave and he seemed like an honest down to earth guy. We are so glad we hired him! Dave gave us a few options regarding the breaker box issue and he got the new breaker box installed within a couple of days. He was very professional and cleaned up any mess he'd made. We also had him remove old lighting in the master bedroom and install can lights. He also upgraded a few plugs to GFI's so we were compliant. After living in our home for two years we were ready for some other lighting improvements. We didn't hesitate to call Dave. Recently he removed the old wall sconce in our hallway that provided very little lighting and installed 2 can lights. He also added a new bathroom fan and replaced the fan in another bathroom. In one of the dining area's we had the old light removed add replaced it with two can lights. In addition our living room had no lighting so we had been using these old standup lights. Those ugly lamps are now gone and have since been replaced with 4 new can lights with a dimmer. It's been a few weeks since Dave installed the can lights in the living room.
