I called Jorge after spending months trying to resolve a problem with a custom tunable-white LED…read morelighting system. The previous electrician had been unable to get the color-temperature control working properly despite extensive troubleshooting, including involvement from the lighting-control manufacturer. Jorge was excellent. He quickly identified multiple physical problems with the installation, including damaged LED strips and unreliable connections, and methodically worked through them until he got the color-temperature control functioning properly for the first time. I was equally impressed by his honesty. Given the damage he found, I was prepared to consider replacing the system, which is work his company does. Instead, Jorge recommended that I keep using the existing installation for now rather than spend money unnecessarily. He explained what was compromised, what to watch for, and what would eventually make replacement worthwhile. After months of frustration, it was a huge relief to have someone who clearly understood LED lighting actually diagnose the problems and get the system working. Jorge was knowledgeable, thorough, and kind, and explained everything in a way a non-expert could understand. When the system eventually does need replacement, LED Guys will be my first call. Highly recommended. 10/3/26 EDIT: The existing system unfortunately began malfunctioning again shortly after my review, so I ultimately had Jorge replace it. He installed the new system quickly and expertly, and it is functioning exactly as I had hoped--the lighting is beautiful and the controls work perfectly. The entire replacement was also very reasonably priced, and actually cost less than the original installation by the previous electrician that Jorge ultimately had to replace. I couldn't be happier with the result.

He never showed up to provide a bid when he said he was. I waited at my home for an hour and he did not answer phone calls or text messages. 2. I called him 2 days later and he said he had lost his phone over the weekend and didn't have my info. So I thought I'd give him another try. 3. On our next meeting, he texted me he couldn't make it but he'd sent one of his guys. I had to call him 4 times to receive a bid, and I didn't receive it until about 5 days AFTER his guy came to my home. 4. We agreed on a price and install date and Arthur texted me at 3 am in the morning saying he couldn't make it but he would send his guys out. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!! I called and texted to see what happened and he never picked up or answered his calls. I took time off work and wasted my personal time. The AV Electric team were really fair in their pricing, professional, and hard working individuals!…read more I would recommend AV Electric to my family and friends! My wife and I, purchased a new CalSpa Jacuzzi. The problem was that when I started making calls for electricians, I quickly realized that I would most likely need to change the Electrical Panel; something that was not mentioned to us by the dealer selling the Jacuzzi. SHORT SUMMARY DURING HIRING SELECTION 1. I contacted 6 different companies (including AV Electric) 2. Over the Phone - AV Electric right out-of-the-gate, sounded friendly and professional over the phone 3. Over the Phone - The other companies - some sounded like I was contacting DMV 4. I contacted one big company (will not name them), that service the AV and parts of LA (SFV, Santa Clarita, etc). They wanted to tear up most of my cement, and were not willing to use my retaining wall at all to save me some money, 5. Another company, actually made me regret purchasing the Jacuzzi. They went as far to recommend I return it, and get my money back 6. Another company, made me feel stupid for not being more knowledgeable about the voltage a typical panel puts out, and what a Jacuzzi size that I purchase requires. When AV Electric did the walk through, they actually provided better solutions to save me money; and that included not having to tear up most of the cement. I mostly dealt with Arthur Garcia - we was very friendly, efficient, and a hard worker - all of his team was. We all agreed they would come on a Sunday at 7am - they did - sharp. That Sunday was extremely hot - well in the 90s. They worked all day, and finished up 95% of the work by 7pm. They came back Monday afternoon, did some touch up on the wall of the house and cemented the portion they had to break. Throughout the entire process, Arthur Garcia kept me informed, by either calling me or sending me a text. It's been a month since they did the job, and all is well. AV Electric - If you see this review, please feel free to use me as a reference, and you can give me number out to any potential customer. Wishing you guys the much success!!!

We needed a whole house re-wire about 5 years ago. We asked Sal at the time, "shouldn't we get this permitted?" Sal told us many reasons why we didn't need a permit: big hassle, adds a big fee to the rewire, just don't need one. Sal assured us that he did all his work to code and did everything that would have been required for a permit, just without the permit. Fast forward to now, we are selling that house and the buyer is requesting that all electrical work be permitted. We called Sal to come and do anything necessary to get the permit, Sal gave the same excuses. "It will open a whole can of worms, the city will require other things be permitted, it'll cost so much.." etc etc. Finally we had to hire a different electrician to pull the permit and check Sal's work, turns out, Sal did NOT do everything required for a whole house re-wire. Here is what Sal did NOT do, in selling us a whole house re-wire that he said was to code. We paid Sal $20,510.00 for the job he did. We ended up paying an additional $5,000 for work that SHOULD have been done by Sal. Including the permit cost and city inspections. Supply and install (1) ground rod, grounding electrode clamp, and bond to panel. Supply and run approx 80 ft of copper grounding electrode conductor to main water pipe bond. Supply and install panel-mounted surge protective device (SPD). Correct missing AFCI/GFCI protection by installing dual-function circuit breakers in main panel. Trace and separate circuits sharing neutral conductors to eliminate cross-circuit overload and code violations. Install/replace 5-6 GFCI outlets in garage and interior required locations. Install green grounding screws and properly bond metal/outlet boxes across 15-20 junction/switch boxes. Replace 3 breakers with different brand. Tie circuits in sub panel. We have all receipts and correspondence from city inspector, we have text from Sal saying he didn't want to get the permits. PLEASE be careful with this electrician. NOT getting permits will cost you in the future!! ALWAYS GET PERMITS FOR WORK DONE TO YOUR HOME!!!
