Seemed to have an idea of one way to do each project and would not entertain alternatives even something as simple as expanding a single switch plate to allow for two switches. I am a member of my city's group on Facebook. I needed electrician services for several tasks around my house so I inquired there first. I like to support my city and hire local, when possible. Rudy came highly recommended from that group so I contacted him. I was also glad to read all the positive reviews, here at Yelp.com Rudy and I exchanged several emails for a few days to iron out the details of my project. During the email exchanges, he made some recommendations. All the work I needed done was an improvement so there was nothing urgent that needed immediate attention. We picked a convenient, future date to start the project. I needed the following done: 1) Move porch light from the side wall to the ceiling, right outside the front door 2) Install ceiling fan with light in the home office 3) Install ceiling light in the second bedroom 4) Install AC plug in the attic for that occassional need when I go up there. 5) Last but not least, install an attic fan to keep it during the upcoming summer months. BTW, having an attic fan will reduce the need to run AC during the summer months. Rudy arrived promptly, actually 15 mins before the agreed start time. I also met his helper, Ismael who was there to assist with the workload. Both Rudy and Ismael work well togther. I laughed often from listening to their banter. I'm highly recommending ElecTech, Rudy the owner, for electrical residence and commercial work. As many of us know, when we need to get something fixed you want someone who is highly recommended, competent, conscientious, professional and a friendly personality that you'd want working on your house. Rudy's da man! Rudy was on time for my appointment, provided a professional and detailed quote that was emailed the same day. After a couple comparisons, I believe ElecTech's quote was a reasonably priced for upgrading my electrical panel from a 100 to 200 amp. I chose a commercial grade electrical panel that he has over a couple decades of experience installing. He added a couple convenient outlets in the garage for a security camera and garage door opener, an additional switch for a bathroom fan, a switch for outdoor lighting (used a deeper switch box to house the electrical wires properly), two garage lights and an outlet for an electric vehicle. He took the time to walk me through the details of the projects from start to finish. The work, listed above, was scheduled, then the actual work was completed in only two days. Conscientiously, Rudy obtained the initial permit, then coordinated with the city inspector to be present during the first and final inspection. I didn't need to be present because Rudy was there to make sure everything went smoothly and in compliance with city regulations. Regarding the electrical panel, he does not replace the stucco and paint. He also does not patch the cutouts in the drywall to run the extra line for the bathroom fan switch. But he made clean cuts in the drywall and replaced the drywall cut outs for minimal drywall patching. Rudy sticks to what he does best, which is residential and commercial electrical and leaves the other stuff to homeowner to save a few dollars or another contractor. Well, Rudy helped coordinated with a reasonable and quality contractor, Victor, to finish the stucco, drywall and paint in a timely manner. By the way, make sure you know the name and brand of your paint color. I was extremely satisfied with Rudy and quality contractor's work. In the past, I haven't had the best experiences with contractors or the like working on my fixer upper house. So, it was a pleasant surprise to have Rudy work on my house. He found me a guy to re-do the wall and work on my hvac at the same time. If you want efficient, and clean work that the city inspector likes the work and knows this guy so he will clear your work and get Edison up to your house to check everything out quickly this is your guy. Electech is a highly professional entity in the way they deal with customers. Rudy came to my residence for estimate to install a Tesla EV Wall Charger and I was so impressed by his friendly, caring nature and professionalism. Not only did he quote me a competitive price but he also ran by me suggestions on how I could save some money. He also extended the location of the connector from the original location in his estimate to the ideal location at no extra cost. My breaker panel is over 30 years old and so the needed breaker switch that would fit into my panel is not readily available. Thanks to his resourcefulness, he was able to find the rare switch. He also told me to monitor the breaker panel closely so that once it shows some weakness considering it's age, it should be replaced for our safety.
