We have used Martin's services at two houses now. He is phenomenal. At our first house he upgraded our electric panel installed new outlets in the kitchen and installed the electrical for an A/C unit. At our second house he installed recessed lighting in the family room. The most impressive part is that he installed an outlet four our TV on our stone fireplace. He ran into trouble but overcame everything and did a fantastic job not just installing the outlet for the TV but mounting the 55" TV. Don't write reviews often, but wanted to share the extremely positive experience we had with Martin's Electrical and Lighting company. After purchasing an electric vehicle in December, we've been patiently waiting for SCE to announce the next round of incentives for installing a home EV charger via the Charge Ready program. That announcement finally came (please visit evrebates.sce.com/homeinstallation), with the standard rebate program offering up to $500 towards the electrical upgrades required for a Level 2 EV charging station. We contacted Martin, the owner, over the weekend; had him provide a quote on Monday, and he promptly started the permitting process on Tuesday. Complete job was finished on Wednesday. Martin's pricing was highly competitive, and he even went the extra mile to ensure city permits were pulled in order to meet SCE's rebate requirement (note: other electricians that provided bids said the permit process would add significant time and cost -- which wasn't true in this case). Martin and his crew showed up on time, were highly professional, and did an excellent job installing the new 50A circuit per our requirements. We needed some lights installed; an outdoor lamp post, two outdoor post lights, and a flood light that needed to be controlled by a switch. A crew of four showed up on time, Martin was one of them. They started working immediately, they were polite and professional. They gave us great input on how certain lights should be installed too. The flood light that they installed was a motion sensor flood light that ended up being faulty, this was a product issue, not an installation issue. I bought another one and called Martin back to and he sent one of his guys out to swap it out and didn't even charge us. I manage a Self Storage,....And We Needed to replace our old Landscape lights...So I interviewed 3 or 4 Contractors and ask questions...But Martin had the best Idea...He suggested we Convert our existing light Boxes into J-Boxes thereby eliminating the need to Install new J-boxes for our new lighting.....Saving us a lot of $.... I upgraded the lights in my kitchen (circa 1974) and wanted a ceiling fan and security lights installed. Based upon my neighbor's recommendation Martin's Electrical & Lighting Company was one of the companies I called for a quote. Martin reviewed the electric panel, the kitchen ceiling, made some recommendations concerning locations of lights, automatic switch light in the powder room, outside security lights, additional work that would need to be done (drywall and paint) and wrote up the quote with a schedule. I asked him for a few recommendations for drywall and paint repair and he was able to recommend a few people that came out to give quotes. Martin was the only electrician that had indicated he would pull the permits with the City. His work was quick and clean, and he coordinated with the drywall and paint contractors for the City's inspections. I did not need to clean up after him as I have with other contractors I've used. I also had a family emergency during the time he was working in the kitchen and I left him my house key. He finished the work for the day, fed my cat, and cleaned and locked up. I recommend him to my family and friends. Those that have used him were satisfied with his professional work and demeanor. Since the larger job of the lights and ceiling fan have been completed, I've also had him install a new thermostat when I couldn't get the old one off the wall without damaging the wall. Again, Martin was quick and worked around my schedule. When almost a year later one of the security lights failed, Martin quickly replaced it and without charge.
