I didn't open the rooms with closed doors, as it seemed there were a couple of guests staying there, which is cool! This place has the look and feel of history, and we enjoyed seeing the antique furniture, framed portraits, and layout of the rooms. The lower level of the building has a beautiful wooden bar and two spacious dining rooms. I hope I get a chance to dine here in the future, and maybe stay here during cooler temperatures.

Following a rather taxing and disagreeable afternoon at the office, I found myself in desperate…read moreneed of a proper culinary escape to remedy my mood. I ventured into a most interesting establishment in Winona this Friday evening, and it proved to be precisely the tonic I required. The dining room was delightfully serene, with only a select few patrons present a peaceful arrangement that I found immensely welcome given my disposition. Upon my arrival, the gentleman assisting me extended an incredibly warm and friendly greeting. His attentive hospitality was thoroughly consistent throughout the evening, and I found the caliber of service to be entirely satisfactory. After requesting the menu to review their selections, I settled on the Pork Belly Tacos. The waiter politely inquired if I would care to include a side of rice with the dish, which I gracefully declined, and my order was processed with admirable efficiency. I must also commend the interior architecture and design. The venue possesses a wonderfully historic, old-world soul, yet it remains impeccably well-maintained and structured rather than ruined. It is a highly impressive aesthetic that adds an air of refined charm to the experience. The comforting atmosphere and flawless execution completely turned my evening around. I am quite enamored with this delightful Winona find and shall most certainly be returning

Although, we did not have any beer or cocktails. Cheese curds were classic greasy cheese curds but we enjoyed them. The tuna bowl was spendy for its size. The seared tuna hit the spot but the rice and veggies were plain in flavor. The side ceasar salad wasn't great, I think the lettuce was a little bad, soft and wilty. The gambler flatbread was very good!!!! Easy to eat and the addition of jalapeño was fantastic for a little bite of spice!!
