Food is affordable and very good. Good service too! Not bad at all for a small town, definitely going back.

Great food and service with decent prices. The cheese curds were amazing and we also really enjoyed The Cubano.

Stopped in a Monday night, the outside of the building is covered with hilarious signs. The kind…read moreof place you know even if the food wasn't good you're going to have great time. I order a burger and I have to say maybe the best burger I've eaten in my life. Cooked perfectly just enough red in the middle to keep it juicy and hot enough to melt the cheese. Which I'll bet is Wisconsin cheese and beef. I had them drag it thru the garden, onion, tomato, lettuce, and pickle with no ketchup for me. In these parts they refer to that as the California burger. I decide before I left the area I'm coming back for breakfast. I do, two days later, but this time we take a ride up the river instead of the Jeep. Yes you can either drive or boat to this establishment. Making it's appeal even that much more a place I'd love to frequent. I ordered the Ratz skillet(I think that's what it was called) and it was so much food I should have asked for half, but ate it all anyway. Sausage, bacon, ham, eggs to order, green pepper, onion, mushrooms on a bed of hash browns served with toast. If your in the area or on the river looking to grab a bite or have a couple of beers you need to stop in. I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Great spot! Fun clean environment. Stopped for lunch as we drove the scenic river road. Service…read morewas great. My cheeseburger was cooked perfectly to order and spiced fries delicious. Unfortunately, wings were overcooked and dry. Should have asked for them to be tossed vs sauce being on the side. Beautiful waterside spot. Definitely on the "stop again" list.

*Part of my visiting home for the holidays 2008-2009 review series*…read more Oh, Andy's - how I love thee. Maybe it is because I work too hard over the course of the year, or because big city bars aren't all their cracked up to be, but spending a few late December evenings at Andy's strikes me as a nearly perfect way to end the year. The fish on the walls, the numerous softball trophies displaying local athletic prowess, and a neon sign that reminds us all to, "Keep it Golden, Minnesota." What more could you really want? Pitchers run around $7 and its easy to start a tab. Trivia during much of the year is on Friday evenings, but they postpone the competition while the college kids are home. The crowd is quite a bit younger during Spring Break, River City Days, and the Holidays. The crowd is more mixed locals during the rest of the year. My minor critiques of this bar (I'm being tough on them, but come on, I gave them five stars) - from time to time I've strolled upstairs to gawk at the people I went to high school with below; why is nobody ever up there hanging out? My sister responds to this complaint by saying, "Its really cold up there!" When my friends and I have failed to find a table we've gone up there to chill out, narcissistically thinking the party will just follow us - but it never does and we're forced to dart downstairs to grab a table later on. The one positive comment I've heard about the upstairs comes from an out of towner who married a local. She once told me, "It is great to go up there so that I can can spy on who my husband talks to all night." Also, maybe it is the fact that I've had a couple drinks over the course of the evening, but the juke box tends to get LOUD by the end of the night. Man alive, it is hard to have a conversation by the end of the festivities at Andy's. All in all, this is one of my favorite bars in Red Wing. Nothing else nearby can really compare in terms of local get togethers. We'll see you next year! Fun Fact: Locals have been known to refer to this bar as "St. Andrews".

The service was great, we came right when it opened but the bar filled up quickly! The place kind of looks like it used to be a diner, then they tried to turn it into a sports bar…read more It gave some mixed signals, but my husband and I loved the burgers we ordered. He said he was a tad disappointed in the beer; it was a bit warm. I only had water with my burger. The coleslaw was just so-so. There's a very nice patio area (we ate inside) and I saw that they do live music on the weekends. (We visited on a Monday.) There's an entrance to the restaurant via the hotel and obvs. vice versa. The hotel looked super nice! We were staying at a hotel across the lot and didn't want to drive anywhere for dinner, so we were happy to have the place available for us. Thanks for a nice dinner all the way from Nebraska!

Stopped by for a late lunch since we were staying at the hotel…read more Our waitress was friendly and generally attentive, but it wasn't the best service we've had. Our order was taken quickly, and came out in a reasonable amount of time. There was a large funeral across the street and apparently the attendees gathered here afterwards because it was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon. But it was still not too crazy and we were able to have a conversation at a reasonable volume. Lots of TVS playing sports. Some reviews referred to it as a nightclub which seems a stretch. At least in the afternoon it was family friendly.. The espresso martinis were strong and all alcohol. But what I'm used to and not my favorite but we definitely got a nice buzz! The cheese curds were average; the pizza fries were an interesting concept. It would have been nice if the cheese had been melted more. The pepperoni was somewhat spicy. The fries were really good! I truly enjoyed the quinoa bowl. The pork belly was crispy and crunchy and just delectable. It worked well with the quinoa and vegetables. I'd happily eat this regularly. Prices are average. Especially for a hotel, one might even consider them reasonable. It's a good option if you don't want to leave the hotel.
