Delicious Salvadoran food!!! Anything you order is just amazing! You can order 20min before picking up and they're very punctual read more

Extremely disappointing service. We placed our to-go order at 2:05 PM, and by 2:32 PM we were STILL waiting for our food. Meanwhile, customers who ordered AFTER us were seated, served, and had already FINISHED their meals while we were still standing around waiting for a simple to-go order. At 2:28 PM, I finally asked how much longer our food would take, and I was told, "15 more minutes." That means we were potentially waiting over 40 minutes for a to-go order, with absolutely no communication or explanation for the delay. How does two tables that orders after us get their food, eat, and are finished before our order is even ready? This is unacceptable service. If there was going to be such a long wait, we should have been told upfront instead of being left waiting and having to ask for an update ourselves. Very frustrating and completely unacceptable all for 3 pupusas En español Servicio extremadamente decepcionante. Para 3 pupusas read more

The service and customer service has really gone down the drain. I ordered less than $70 worth of food over the phone to be asked for a credit card number and billing codes. After saying I've been showing Bells Restaurant support as a resident they say fine come in 45 minutes and when I do show up and pay , they barely start making the order. So what's the point of ordering ahead. So now after waiting an additional 30 minutes. It's sad but now to find a new spot. Don't support this business for the poor attitude. read more

This place is typically busy, so I try to place a phone order. They NEVER answer the phone. I go in person and place my order & was told 20 minutes for the order. I walk around the shopping center and return 40 minutes later. My order is still NOT ready. I ask the cashier how much longer & she's very dismissive, ignores me and starts taking someone else's order. I've been going to this location for years. Customer service is horrible and the quality of the food is deficient. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. I will be going to Cudahy for my pupusas. read more

This spot has been here for ages. Burned down many years back and while they are back now it's a good spot to get authentic Salvadorian food. The pupusas revuletas are some of my favorites and a good amount or filling . Ordered yuca frita con chicharon and it was nice and crispy not soggy just as it should be . read more

Place is very good! You walk in, order your food, and self seat yourselves. I had a plate of seafood here once, DO NOT get it. I do t recommend. But... their pupusas are a perfect size and filling and priced just right! I recommend their chicharron with cheese! Excellent taste and portions! Place is right next to buffet and ramen restaurants. Plenty of parking! Service is great as well. Come give it a try if you haven't! read more

Came to fulfill my craving for pupusas. Ordered 1 revuelta and 2 frijol con queso. Young lady that took my order said about 15 min wait. 25 minutes passed & asked where's my order. Mind you the cooks and servers were too busy chit chatting & I politely asked about my order. Same young that took my order stated "it's here and i am packing it." But didn't start packing it until I asked and was sitting there in the warmer for a bit. I get home my daughter starts eating the revuelta and says, "mom that's only cheese." I decide to call the business to complain that they messed up my order & gave me a cheese pupusa instead of revuelta. The young lady that answered the phone proceeded to say that due to previous customer complaints they don't put alot of "chicarrón." Ummm, if i am paying for a revuelta why are you giving me all cheese? You can't go based on customer's complaints of "too much" chicharrón and literally put none. Help me make sense?! I explained to her that I paid for revuelta therefore expect revuelta NOT cheese. She stated they would make a new one & at this point I asked for a refund. She asked me to take the uneaten pupusa and they would give me a refund. I said, "the pupusa was eaten due to being hungry and there was no way I can take it." Young Lady said, "well if you didn't like it that means you didn't eat it." I replied, "i never stated i didn't like it, i am calling to make you aware you didn't give me what i ordered."She said, "we'll give you a refund. I have alot of customers & then hung up on me." EXCUSE ME - I AM A CUSTOMER TOO!!! I drove myself to the restaurant and told the gentleman at the register of the unprofessional, asked for my refund, and for the young lady's name. He apologized and said her name is "Sophia." Note - Customer service and customer satisfaction keeps every business going! I will NOT be returning! read more

El Zunzal - order receipt - Salvadoran Near Me - Bell, California

I've been here maybe 8 or 10 times now and every single time I've gone it has seemed like I was an inconvenience when I ordered. I thought maybe it was the cashier(s) but after reading other reviews I think it's just the overall culture of the place. I ordered dinner for my family last time, six Pupusas and some sides, and they didn't even bother with the cabbage and sauce. The pupusas are good as is the rice & beans but it's definitely not the only place in SG/HP to get Salvadoran food. On a positive note this will give me an opportunity to explore other local businesses and patron them as I eat our almost every day. read more

Horrible! As soon as I got there, the menu was a bit confusing because they were offering meal combos that were not on the menu. The cashier herself was new and confused, but the person mentoring her (a smaller/short girl) was VERY rude. We were asking questions about the menu and she was giving back a lot of attitude. I asked for two pupusas revueltas and I swear it's like I ordered cheese only. They had NOOOO meat in them. No coman aquí! El servicio es horrible y las pupusas malas! read more

I would give this spot a negative number if I could. Went with my parents and the cashier was rude to my mother and father. She told my mom that she didn't know how to order. They ended up not getting anything after all because she was so rude to them. This place always disappoints. We are NEVER EVER coming back to this horrible place again. I don't even think that they know how rude they are.

My son wanted pupusas so we went to the nearest Salvadorian restaurant. We mainly ordered pupusas (pork with cheese), and an appetizer "yucca with pork". We got our pupusas first and the appetizer came after we finished the pupusas. That was disappointing and all backward. The ambiance was too loud for me. The service was okay. My son wanted more salad and he had to walk to the counter because he couldn't get the waitress's attention. She didn't give it to him instead she brought it to our table with a bit of an attitude. The yucca wasn't fully cooked and the pork had no flavor. This was not my favorite dish. The salad was too salty. I'm not Salvadorian, but I love pupusas. I have eaten better pupusas in other restaurants. What I could say is the horchata was very delicious. read more

***try not to come im the afternoon, i ordered horchata and they gave me the last they had. it was nothing but sugar. then she added more horchata (fresh horchata) i asked her to please change it. she laughed and told the other people what had happened. their food is ok. service is bad. lack of ethic. read more

I have gone many times and almost always have Pupusas of chicharron and cheese, Horchata and the Chicharron with yucca. The food is always outstanding. Came here with my family and it took a while to order. The food also took a long time to get served. The pupusas revueltas are really good. The salpicón is okay, I've had better. Worst pupusas ever I have never had a pupusa that taste this bad no matter where I went till now It was like plastic like they use the ingredients from days before ugh never again read more

Since my original visit, I have come to the conclusion that this is the best spot for pupusas. Why? Because if you ask they'll make a revuelta pupusa with beans in them. Most places will give you a revuelta with just pork and cheese but I'm Mexican so I need beans in there. They now have two versions of their salsa the regular mild spicy one and the 'hot' spicy one as noted by the redder color of the sauce the spicy one will probably give the meal more kick but either one is good. I also highly recommend to order a plate of fried bananas when it comes out make sure to dip beans on one side and cream on the other and eat it that way it really brings out the flavors of the banana. I've been bringing my friends and they like it too. Just a quick note: Horchata here comes mixed with chocolate that's just how they do it in El Salvador so don't get weirded out by it. read more

I been coming here since a kid when the dad was still the owner and now almost in my 30s still going but as of today, that will be the last visit. ,This is not the first or second time that they've gotten my order wrong on the phone but had to pay twice cuz they forgot to add things i ordered so had to wait longer and then to top it off coming home the order was wrong as well, (tt). read more

Came in here for the first time yesterday & I really wasn't impressed. The person I ordered my meal from had a serious case of stank face almost like she didn't want to be at work, I understand if you've had a rough day but when you're the first person a customer sees have a happy face. Fake it if you have to. I purchased a to go order that included 1 pupusa revuelta, 1 horchata, and 1 order of the platanos (plantains). The pupusa itself was pretty good, but wasn't well stuffed like I'm used to at other Salvadorian places I've visited felt like it was more masa. The horchata was a big time disappointment I can definetly say I'd had better. The real treat was the platanos which were delicious! Sadly though the eggs that come with the order had no flavor (a pinch of salt would've made a difference) I asked for sunny side up & they were cooked all the way through & I wanted the yolk to be runny that's why I asked for sunny side up otherwise I would've asked for them scrambled. The beans were very good as well, but there wasn't enough of them. They came served in a small container similar size to the crema (cream) as you can see in the pic provided. I won't be coming back again. The main thing that brought me in here was a craving of salvadorian horchata that I've had for a few months & the disappointment was too real. read more

This business has been around for a while. They were closed for a while for renovations, they just recently reopened. The pupusas and pastelitos are very delicious (that's all I ever order). There's a lady in the back making the pupusas as you order. However, I guess due to reopening they have been short on staff. When I walked in I noticed that were several tables (like 6) that had not been cleaned. There were still dirty dishes and empty cups on them. My Dad and I could not find a place to sit even though there were tables available. The lady at the front that took our order wasn't very welcoming and friendly. Hopefully within time they get fully settled in because the food is really good here. read more
