FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING HOT COFFEE BURN INCIDENT…read more Date: August 26, 2026 Time of incident: Approximately 9:46 AM Restaurant: Cojutepeque Salvadorian Restaurant To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to formally report a very serious incident that occurred at Cojutepeque Salvadorian Restaurant on August 26, 2026, while I was having breakfast with my mother. I have visited this restaurant with my mother many times, and unfortunately, today I experienced a frightening and painful incident involving a cup of very hot coffee. When I opened the coffee container/cup, the hot coffee suddenly burst and spilled all over me. The coffee was extremely hot and burned me. It also came dangerously close to my eyes, which could have resulted in a much more serious injury. What concerned me even more was the response from an older waitress whom I informed about what had happened. I expected her to show concern, check whether I was injured, or offer some type of assistance. Instead, she did not appear to care about what had happened to me. This was not simply a minor inconvenience. I was burned by extremely hot coffee, and the fact that it came close to my eyes made the situation especially concerning. A customer who is burned inside a restaurant should be treated with concern and given appropriate assistance. I am requesting that management take this incident seriously, investigate what happened, and review how the coffee was prepared, served, and handled. I also ask that the staff be reminded of their responsibility to respond appropriately when a customer is injured or reports being burned. I have been a customer of this restaurant multiple times, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. I hope management will address this matter seriously and take appropriate steps to prevent another customer from experiencing the same thing. Sincerely, Julissa Herrera

Delicious pupusas, coffee, empanadas. I'm Salvi, and I thought the pupusa de arroz de chicharrón…read morecon queso was delicious. Only downside is there's no parking lot, only street, which took a bit to find but worked out fine. A little walk after eating pupusas helps! Highly recommend. Super cute restaurant and staff is very friendly.

I found a diamond in this beautiful family own restaurant. This is a Salvadoran and Mexican style…read morerestaurant. First, we ordered the Molcajete completo Cielo Mar y Tierra. Desayuno - and pupusas de Arroz. The restaurant is nice and clean and the food is so delicious. We also got carne guisada. And more pupusas de arroz ( instead of corn we choose rice). By the way, our Server Gladis was super nice friendly and professional. She took our order quickly and look at these large portions. Highly recommend Mi Pueblo Restaurant y Pupuseria. Either with family or friends come and support this local business. Thanks for reading

I definitely wouldn't have stopped by this place on my own, but it turned out to be a great find,…read moreand I'm really glad my friends brought me here. We came because they said the pupusas were good, and it was one of the few spots that was open and nearby. The place itself is very small, with only a few tables and a limited number of staff. There were only 2 people there when we walked in. It's pretty casual, or at least the way my friends handled it seemed so. My friends said we could just seat ourselves if it's not too busy. My friends grabbed the menus as we picked a table. When we were ready to order, we just flagged down the waitress and ended up ordering quite a few items. Of course, we had to try a variety of pupusas: chicharrón, cheese and jalapeño, beans and cheese, and revueltas. We also got empanadas (de leche and de frijol), along with a few other dishes that I didn't catch, so I'm not entirely sure what everything was called. Once we placed our order, the food came out pretty quickly and the appetizers arrived first, followed shortly by the pupusas and entrées. The pupusas were all really good. I wouldn't say they were overly stuffed, but they were still delicious, served hot, and super filling... you could easily get full off one or two. I believe I ordered the carne fajitas (though I could be mistaken), which came with tortillas, steak, vegetables, beans and rice. It ended up being a really well-balanced meal. The meat was juicy and not as dry as I expected, especially given how it was cut and served. The vegetables added a nice crunch and a bit of freshness, which helped balance out what was otherwise a pretty carb-heavy meal, especially after sampling all the pupusas.
