My favorite thing to get is the Rapidito. It comes with two smaller size pupusas (but still pretty big IMO, a side of frijoles, and platano frito!!! You can request the pupusas with ANY filling. It hits the spot! I get that to go for lunch. It comes with curtido - so good - and salsa. It's one of those comfort foods, ya know? Pupusas isn't the only thing they sell, either. They have a full menu of a variety of food. I've never actually ate there. The dining hall is quite big and looks comfortable. I see older folk there so you know it's good. They have TVs and I'm not sure if they have a full bar but they serve something. I spotted plantain chips in a bag on top of a case of pan dulce that looked good too. I feel like this would be a nice spot to chill, have good food and a beer or something. Today, I ordered two Rapiditos on the Yelp app but it didn't let me choose the filling of the pupusas, so I called. They knew exactly what I was talking about. They told me they'd tell la Señora. Do they have someone's grandma back there making pupusas?! No wonder they're so good! And she hustles, too, because when I got there, I sat down ready to wait but they were packing up my order. Took less than 5 minutes!

We…read moreusually make the drive to North Hollywood, but decided to give this place a try--and it definitely did not disappoint! We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

So underrated! Delicious Salvadorean and Mexican food!!…read more They first served chips with salsa, which was good and not too spicy. Later they also brought big fluffy tortillas, which I believe are the Salvadorean style tortillas. They are super soft, so fresh and fluffy. Pupusas They were huge!!! So flavorful and tasty. I tried the revueltas (cheese, fried pork, and beans) and the queso con jalapeno (cheese with jalapeno). Everything just melted in my mouth. I didn't expect the jalapeno one to have so much flavor too. The pupusas are my favorites out of everything I tried. Beef taco I tried this à la carte with the crunchy taco shell and shredded beef. There is a lot of filling (lettuce, tomato, and cheese) and the beef is tender. Not too greasy, not too dry. Love the crunchiness of the taco shell. The tacos are usually sold in twos with rice and beans. Carne Asada Plate The carne asada was very tender. Also comes with beans, simple salad, rice, and lemon wedge. There was no wait to get seated. Lots of seats and tables. They also have a TV with a movie playing. Service was good! Glad the server also has a sense of humor haha. The food took 15-20 minutes, which isn't too bad. The interior has a traditional Mexican aesthetic. Feels homey. The parking lot is not super big, but I had no problems parking on a Sunday. I would come back and recommend!

After several minutes, one of my brothers got up to get menus, and we still had not been approached by a server. During our wait, the employees appeared to be having a great time amongst themselves talking, laughing, and enjoying each other's company while we waited to be acknowledged. After about 15-20 minutes, a woman finally came to our table and asked, "Are you ready?" Her manner was very forward, but we placed our order. At the time, we didn't think too much about the long wait or the lack of service because we were busy talking, laughing, and joking around like brothers do. The restaurant appeared busy with takeout orders, which may have contributed to the delay. Our food arrived about 15 minutes later, and this is where the experience changed considerably. We ordered pupusas, tamales, and three main dishes: the Salvadoran chile relleno, beef guisado, and beef with onions. I have to say, the food was very good. The guisado and beef with onions were prepared with a traditional pumpkin, sesame seed, and tomato-based sauce that was rich and full of flavor. The handmade tortillas added an especially nice touch and complemented the dishes beautifully. The curtido served with the pupusas was also excellent. Overall, the food was well prepared, authentic, and full of flavor. Based on the food alone, I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. However, when I got home and finally read the reviews, I was surprised to see that many other customers had experienced similar issues with poor service and rude or unwelcoming employees. What concerns me most is that these complaints appear to have been consistent for quite some time, with little apparent improvement. The restaurant also currently has a "C" rating. This is unfortunate because this restaurant clearly has the potential to be an excellent eatery. The food demonstrates that there is real talent in the kitchen, but good food can only take a restaurant so far. I would strongly encourage the owner and management to address the customer service issues, improve how guests are greeted and treated, and take the recurring feedback seriously. If the service matched the quality of the food, this could be a truly outstanding restaurant.

Since I didn't have a receipt, I checked my bank statement if I was charged for 4 when I only got 2. But I was only charged for 2. I think the lady didn't understand English well. The bean and cheese burrito was good, but the consomme for the birria? I dont know why but the flavor wasn't very strong, its like I couldn't taste it enough. But it was still satisfying.
