Haven't been here in a while, but this place is A-MA-ZING!! So glad I was passing through Imperial County and found them open. Big smile.

Disclaimer: The poor lighting for these pictures do not do the food justice. Ok, so this place is straight . Although they always seem understaffed, the service is top-notch and adequate. But the food is so good! I came here with my son and he ordered the chimichanga that I had pumped up for him. He HAD to try it. I ordered a wet burrito (carne asada) with red sauce. Everything came to our table quickly and it was delicious! I must commend their salsa and chips. The salsa is to die for.. You cannot go wrong with El Zarape. One of my all time favorite Mexican spots!

The best part of being close to the Mexican Border is they have delicious Mexican eats! This is one of them! I don't get to eat this good Mexican food everyday. I really enjoyed my dinner tonight My Experience: Every single item I ordered was on point! I can pretty much it's authentic Mexican food! The portions is decent, The size of their what they call small Menudo is actually pretty big! It can be shared by two people! Overall: Highly Recommended if you happen to be in the El Centro, Calexico area. #calexico #elcentro #lcalifornia

Very good comfort Mexican comfort food. I've been here a few times when I come to visit friends from LA and it never disappoints. My friend usually orders and I enjoy it all the same.

I wish this place would let me give it 10 stars not 5 !! Hubby and I were on a road trip and wanted something tasty and on the go We stopped and found this little gem and oh my grateful tastebuds!!!!!! I have the chicken enchiladas with red sauce, beans and rice. Hubby had a chicken burrito The meat was moist and everything tasted like it was made out of my abuelitas kitchen So damn good (Licking my fingers)

I haven't eaten here in a very long time so I had forgotten how good their food is! The appetizer Salsa is one of the best. I got the camarón a la diabla and was extremely pleased at the level of heat. I've usually very picky when it come to the rice, however theirs is pretty good! Over all, great service and delicious food!

I intended to travel the entire 2,600-mile length of the Pacific Crest Trail, but my adventure unceremoniously ended in El Centro under a tree about 60 miles east of my starting point. The paramedics told me that hiking is not for everyone. After a desperate two weeks of hiking with little food and water through BLM land tracks, old service roads, and desert washes, as best I can recall, I finally set up camp in El Centro under a farmer's tree near his washing line. Soon after the farmer called the police about my campfire, the authorities and my ex-wife found me in a state of delerium hosting a tea party under a large avocado tree wearing the farmer's wife's plus size nightgown while serving "cups of chai tea" to a sizable pile of rotten avocados and a rusty shovel that I thought was "Jan" from those Toyota commercials. My first real meal after being found by the authorities and my ex-wife was at D'Poly Taco Grill and Beer. D'Poly was the perfect welcome back to civilization as it has a spectacular menu full of delicious Mexican cuisine like street tacos, flautas, sopes and empanadas. The Lineman burrito is my absolute favorite. And they have a wonderful breakfast menu! It's fast casual dining, but it has a sort of classic and moody vibe that gives off a more upscale feel. Love it! A wonderful place to break free of your delusions. My ex-wife tried to tell me that hiking is not for everyone. Thankfully, the paramedics found my emergency contact list and phoned my ex-wife who showed up and broke me out of my stupor by making me drop my emotional support avocado, taking me by the shoulders and shaking me vigorously while yelling "it's over, it's over!" Ironically, that was the same way she told me we were getting divorced. I'm not a quitter, so it takes a while for me to give up. I've since tried many items on the D'Poly menu and everything is exceptional, though I do avoid adding avocado. It's just too soon. Thank you D'Poly Taco Grill and Beer! Five stars.

When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty with only about two tables of customers. Despite that, we were not greeted at the door and no one acknowledged us. We were left standing there trying to figure out if we were supposed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves, which already set a negative tone for the visit. That lack of attention ended up foreshadowing the rest of the service. After we were seated, everyone else at our table eventually received their food except me. When we were finally able to get the waitress's attention to ask about my order, she realized that my plate had been given to another table. By that point, I had already been waiting around 25 minutes, and I was on a limited lunch break, so the delay was extremely frustrating. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, I was charged more than what I had actually ordered. At that point, I was so disappointed and pressed for time that I did not even bother disputing it and just wanted to leave. I want to note that this experience occurred at the Antojitos on Main Street location, not the Desert Gardens location. I truly hope management can address these issues, because first impressions matter, and this visit left a lot to be desired.

Still looking for a great Mexican restaurant in the Imperial Valley!…read more Someone suggested Flautas and Sopes in El Centro and my first impression when I saw their YELP site was to get there asap! The cashier was welcoming and the line wasn't too long and was able to order quickly. I ordered three #1's which is basically the works. I waited for a bit and my order was ready in about 10 minutes. I had 10 miles to drive so I floored it and unpacked the food for the festivities to begin. There was plenty of salsa that was packed with the orders so I decided to start dipping with the flautas. Instead of heavenly bliss I encountered bland no man land! They were basically hard cardboard and the salsa was equivalent to watered down tomato sauce. But I still had the tostada, sope and a machaca taco, there was still some hope. Unfortunately the tostada and the sope were dead, lifeless and tasteless. The only thing barely edible was the machaca taco: barely! All the life and excitement was sucked out of the space and left me feeling as though I had just been robbed! My suggestions to Flautas and Sopes is to either close or start all over again. Based on my experience, now ai know why Taco Bell and Del Taco might ring the right bell for people! At least you know what to expect!
