If I had read the reviews before I sent my shoes in, I would not have sent them in. And after I…read moresent them in I was worried and regretted my decision. However I just received my revived VIVOBAREFOOT geo Chelsea shoes and they look fantastic, really. They received shoes 10/29, there was a problem with my credit card number which I corrected on 10/30 (10 minute wait on phone to speak with someone), then received shoes today 11/29. I emailed them 11/21 to get status update and staff said shoes would ship the following week, that I would receive email when they shipped. I didn't receive shipment email so was surprised to see them today. I'll see how they hold up over the next few weeks.

Attention Ugg shoe owners!…read more Considering the popularity of Ugg footwear, and the price you pay to own them, maximizing longevity of your footwear via repair might be a consideration. Especially in our current economy. Uggrenew is a company, owned by Ugg. Ugg uses NuShoe to provide Uggrenew services. If you are considering using the services of either NuShoe or Uggrenew, don't. Ugg's service provider, NuShoe, is inept at best. They take your money and deliver nothing in return. The worst part is there's no financial recourse to Ugg, Uggrenue, or NuShoes. Customer service as well as their legal counsel are either purposely non-responsive or non-existent. I recommend using a local cobbler for services as at least you'd have some leverage and recourse doing so. My wife's shoes are lost and she's out of not just the ugg boots, but the $60 in repair service charges. Ugg, Uggrenew, and NuShoes are nonresponsive to all of my attempts to contact them over the last few months to resolve. NUshoe isn't credited by the Better Business Bureau. Non responsiveness is symptomatic of a greedy, non-customer focused company. I guess they are more concerned with their profits, not Customer satisfaction.

And then there are Mephistos that seem to be your feet's BFF from the very start. It's always traumatic when I finally decide it's time to send my Mephistos off for resoling and conditioning, as it's generally four to eight weeks before I see them again. When my "new" shoes do finally arrive, it's a grand homecoming. New bottoms have been sewn on, the insoles have been replaced, the dry and worn leather has been magically transformed and NEW LACES! Best of all, they are still my feet's BFF. (Okay, I get a wee bit obsessive about my shoes and socks.)

Sent in 3 Mephisto Helen sandals 2 months ago for their $95 for comprehensive refurbishment and…read morepaid $35 for shipping. I was disappointed with the quality control. One pair of sandals was returned after 2 months with visible black fingerprints/stains on the footbed that were not present before refurbishment. To their credit, customer service did respond and offered either to have the sandals sent back for stain removal or a $50 compensation payment. I chose the compensation option. I appreciate that they attempted to resolve the issue, but I was surprised the sandals passed inspection in that condition before being shipped back to a customer. The refurbishment workmanship itself was fine, but the QC process clearly needs improvement. It would have been about the same cost to buy a new pair. My recommendation would be to not use the service and just buy a new pair if you want to stay with the brand.
