I heard good things about this place. I finally had a chance to check it out. I went with the burrito Maya. Stuffed with a Chile Relleno, rice and beans, guacamole and pico de gallo. I forgot to grab salsa so that's my bad. That probably would have helped it . Overall It was alright but not my favorite. Going to have to try more of the menu next time. If I could give this restaurant no stars, I would. First, the service was EXTREMELY slow. I was left with no water for a solid 15 minutes while my cup was per purposely placed by the edge of the table for attention until I had to ask. Second, I ordered the bowl of menudo. Now, I understand that a little hair is normal. But just zoom in these pictures and see HOW MUCH hair was in this soup. It was disgusting, I had hair all over my tongue. I barely ate any of my soup and was told there was nothing they could do to take it off the tab. Not even replace it with a different place. This place SUCKS read more

I have been here once before and the food was decent. went today and ordered the combo fajitas for $20 and they were the absolute worst fajitas I've have ever had. Neither the beef or the chicken were seasoned with anything other than whatever oil they used on the flat top. The beef was not skirt steak but like a round steak. the chicken was unseasoned chicken breasts. I ordered an ice tea and it tasted sour. this was at noon. my guest ordered chicken floutas and they had zero flavor. I would NOT recommend this place again. read more

I ordered the pozole and it was good! Next time I'll order without porks feet. My hubby ordered the mole enchiladas with rice and beans and the plate was perfect tasting!!! Best tacos in the area! I have tried all their meats but I prefer the tacos de lengua (tongue). So delicious! We always order an agua to drink, usually horchata, but I have tried pineapple and coconut before and both are good. My weekend treat! read more

I love this place. Everything has always been very good. My favorite is the breakfast. A friend had the Pupusas today and they were very good. The cabbage was tangy. They have homemade corn tortillas. The wait staff is mostly family and very friendly. The owner played professional soccer and the restaurant is decorated with memorabilia. It's pretty authentic Mex Mex. They speak very little English. We got cheese enchiladas from the lunch menu for $6.99. They were quite good. They had beef fajita meat sprinkled on top. The fajita meat is quite tasty. The rice is better than average and so are the retries. read more

Will never go back to this place. We were served 3 raw, undercooked pozoles. The meat was tough, still red and running. The Hominy was hard. I complained to the manager. She refused to accept what I was saying, even after clearly seeing how raw the meat was. She said the cook said it was fully cooked and that's all that basically matters. We didnt eat the pozoles. We lost our appetite completely. They weren't cheap almost $15 per. I was charged for them regardless. So we ended up paying $75.00, for food we could not eat. Horrible way of the manager to handle the problem beware of the soups. They could also do a better job at cleaning the place. read more

Came here for some "Mariscos" (seafood)....had the "Shrimp Soup" it was pretty good the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because it only had 6 shrimp, and the broth had too much of a tomato taste as well as a lot of red powder on the bowl. Other than that it was good. read more

This is your grandma's Mexican food. Not your abuelita's, your grandma's. I was surprised that none of the previous reviews mentioned that they don't serve margaritas. They only have four beers. I came to eat, not to drink, but it was a disappointment. The red sauce is bland, but the green sauce was pretty good. We ordered two different enchilada plates, and the enchiladas were alright, but nothing to get excited about. The "chicken fajita" was a paper-thin breast, overcooked and dry. There was not a single fleck of onion, cilantro, or jalapeno to be seen throughout the entire meal. The predominant flavor was salt. I'm fairly sure I could get equivalent food from the freezer section at the grocery store. The service was satisfactory: prompt and accurate. Not friendly or welcoming, though. There are definitely better options in Conroe. read more

Great breakfast place! I had chorimigas (migas with chorizo), which was flavorful with slightly crispy tortillas under the eggs and cheese. The diced potatoes were cooked perfectly. The beans were a bit thin, but still not bad. My husband had huevos rancheros and was very pleased as well. Service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is bright, clean, and colorful. I got the pork, bean and cheese Papusa and a chicharron taco on a homemade corn tortilla and both were excellent.
