On a trip from Lincoln to Branson, we got hungry and I suggested Mexican food. Pulled up yelp reviews and this place had great reviews. ALL WELL EARNED! The food was absolutely fantastic, my beautiful wife had the street tacos (shared one with me) that were awesome, and I had cheese enchiladas, equally delicious, the chips and salsa and the queso... all fantastic! The food was just OK, nothing great. The dining room was filthy. There was a dead fly on the windowsill where we were seated. Based on the appearance of the dining room, I could only imagine what the kitchen would look like. I will not eat here again. read more

My wife and I have been here twice and they haven't let us down. The service is really good everyone is very nice. The food here reminds me of my mom's cooking I really enjoyed the chiles rellenos and milanesas. The place it self is pretty quiet and played Spanish music all in all a very great experience definitely going back. read more

A surprising amount of authenticity in this cozy Tex-Mex cantina! Freshly prepared Guacamole and they are very consistent with their quality; regardless whether it's the lunch or dinner rush. A very refreshing and enjoyable alternative to the "other" Hispanic restaurant in town! (I didn't have to wonder if my enchiladas were microwaved out of a package and slammed on my plate!) Cheerful prompt service. The vegetable fajitas were served with a separate plate of rice, beans, guacamole, shredded lettuce and sour cream. The beans tasted canned unfortunately. So one star off for that. Everything else was good. read more

I did not eat here. This review is regarding them having vegetarian options on the menu but they obviously do not know what that means because over the phone we were told they put chicken flavoring in the rice. This is not vegetarian, chicken broth is made with chicken in the very least chicken fat. You should not have vegetarian options on the menu, this is incredibly misleading! read more

Would have probably been a pretty decent place but we had pretty shity service two different waiter and waitress the waitress brought her food and dumped my entire play all over the top of me then I had to sit and wait forever for my food to come back to me then turned around and handed me a ticket afterwards and made me pay for the entire price after jumping my food all over the top of me then wake you up to pay and the guys it runs the cash register didn't even offer to ask how or service or food was and charge me for a full meal I probably will not be back read more

We waited 45 minutes for 2 lunch entrees that were mediocre... my fajitas tasted like McCormick taco seasoning and the chimichanga was so little I thought they messed up my husbands order. The best Mexican restaurant in Bolivar. The price is way cheaper than at El Rodeo and you get more food, plus I think the overall quality is nicer. Staff is super friendly. Iwould definitely suggest trying their fajitas; although I usually always go for the chicken chimichanga. All-in-all, you're getting way more for your money than you will elsewhere. read more

We tried El Tres Amigos for the first time tonight. Had the Polo Abadabo. It was excellent; really too much food to eat. Four of us for $39. Best Mexican food I have found in the ares. Lots more on the menu to try. I am excited! read more

IMO the best choice for Mexican food in Bolivar, MO (65613) Casual atmosphere. Casual dress. Televisions inside generally with sports programing playing. Mexican music overhead. Chips and salsa gratis with meal. If you want hot sauce request it from your table server. Food portions are good size. No alcohol served. $-$$ depending on entree choice. Lots of meal choices under $10 even at dinner. (6-17-14) Location is on the hill next to the Little Caesars pizza. Recommend Taquitos Mexicanos or Chicken Quesadilla as a starting point first time or new to Mexican food. read more

My wife and our 2 grand children stopped in on Sunday about 6. It was not crowded at all. We put in our orders... nothing special, nothing hard. One of the orders had a SOFT Taco.. they brought a HARD Taco.. I told the girl re-filling our water, we ordered a SOFT Taco, She said she would get one.... The waiter shows up and asked if everything was Ok. I told him he brought us a HARD Taco, not a SOFT Taco. He then proceeded to reach across the table to get the HARD Taco off the grand girls plate...My wife told him he wasn't going to take food off her plate. My wife asked him what he was going to do with the Taco anyway.... he said he would give it to one of the guys in the back...He then came out with a plate and asks us to take the HARD Taco off the plate cause he cant be giving away food like that... I explained to him that HE was the one who screwed up the order and HE could get me a SOFT Taco like we ordered. Who attempts/takes food off someone's plate after they deliver it to their table? We will NEVER go back and will make sure no one we know ever goes there. If you screw up and bring me a HARD Taco then you should just leave it and bring me what I ordered. A bad experience, am very sorry we went there... NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

The food was decent. I was extremely upset very shortly after we left. My mother is allergic to shrimp, informed the waiter of this and began having a reaction no more than 20 minutes after we left. We called the restaurant and told them she had a reaction, the waiter remembered her saying that but said he "forgot to inform the cook" therefore causing her a reaction that if we hadn't gotten medicine for quick enough could have landed her in the Emergency Room. If a customer tells you they are highly allergic to something: TELL THE COOK!!! Bad 1st experience here. Do not plan to return. read more
