I had a reservation an hour later than when we showed up. The manager sat us early and took care of our very large group. The food was great the drinks are better. Lol. Clean fun nice environment for families. read more

After waiting for 35 mins had to wait another hour to order food then 45 minutes to get cold food Their was a party that came in 40 mins after us but they got their food the service once again as gone down I will not recommend coming here there is much needed in the service. My daughter got home tried to reheat food is terrible. My granddaughters could not eat their food all food cold. The waiter went on Break but before going to break he made sure that a party which was seated appropriately 40 minutes after us they ordered before us. No I'm done with this El Torito Riverside Plaza This is the first time I did not leave a tip! $70.00 for guacamole chips and drinks Go to other restaurants it can't be worse than this one read more

Haven't been to one since they closed down the one on the SF Bay. Went to the one in San Leandro and it was as great as before. Sure wish they'd open another one on this side of the bay! read more

We love dining at El Torito Riverside for the Sunday brunch. We also love coming throughout the week to enjoy some of their yummy dishes! The chicken flautas are a must and the jalapeno jam is so tasty! The food is truly flavorful! Our favorite server is Victor P. We have known him since he worked at Acapulco in Moreno Valley. When we walk in the door, he immediately greets us and makes us feel so happy to be there! He is an outstanding server and is second to none!. Not only does he pay close attention to his customer"s needs, he's so funny and engaging! He makes the dining experience extra special! He also remembers things that we like and he makes sure that we have everything exactly how we like it! Stop by for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch. You won't be disappointed! read more

I ordered El Torito to go recently for delivery. I ordered the enchiladas with beans and rice. It was delivered in a timely manner and was still hot when I got it. The food was alright; the enchiladas were kind of blah with no flavor, but I did like the spice. They just seemed like they were missing something. The beans and rice were decent, as well. Nothing to write home about. Portion sizes were great and I was able to get two meals out of the one order. I'll probably order from here next time because I love Mexican food and want this location to redeem itself! read more

The very last time I went there I got sick. My sister went a year later and also got sick. I don't trust the management to monitor the food safety of this restaurant. read more

June 15th, 2018 (UCR Graduation) This was my first time eating here, customer service 4/5 Stars. The 3 appetizers we ordered 4/5 Stars. This review is regarding the main course meal. My girlfriend had ordered The Chicken & Steak Fajita combo, and when it arrived the Chicken was burned/charcoaled, the steak was un-chewable (rubbery), and there was no Bell Peppers in the Fajitas (as advertised) which was substituted by one old nasty looking green (Chile Rellano).... We still tipped very well because we had a party of 12, but I really feel like our main course meals were all the left over f from that day. Still no message from Hector 6/21/18 read more

great father's day brunch 2023!! food variety was great!! and we actually joined this restaurant a week before father's day & the waitress actually invited us & we saw the preparation to the actual brunch! great job!! read more

Decided to place an order to go from El Torito. When my husband got home and took everything out we were missing a tortilla soup. I tried calling and the phone just rings. The salsa had a frozen middle so we had to stick bowl in warm water. Definitely not what we are used to from El Torito. Next time we will have to eat at the restaurant and hopefully a better experience. read more

Food has lost its quality of taste, and presentation; service quality as well. Staff seems to not have coordination with service and tending to customers. Food was sent out 55 mins for salad and tacos. Drinks were a great concoction!Bartenders are understaffed, or they do not know how to get water for 2 people and used lemons (teeth bitten); correctly. We left a tip rather less. read more

Love going to El Torrito. The service is very fast, hardly no wait time to be seated. The staff is very friendly, especially our waiter VICTOR PEREZ. Victor was very attentive and brought our food out quickly. read more

This review is for a pick up order. We ordered the fiesta fajitas which says it serves 4 to 6. Although everything was nicely packaged and tasted good, for $55 plus tax and a $2.05 surcharge, the servings were very small. There was a small bag of chips with a very small salsa, 4 small tortillas, and a very small portion of the sweet corn. The steak was good but there were no onions or peppers, just meat. I don't think it was a good value for what we received. It should be advertised to feed 4. read more

I get it my server goes on break someone else covers. Got it no problem. But when the server just "helping her out" is asked for the check it seems no one can get a check. Three people in I finally get a check and again told "oh we were just helping her out since she is on break". State mandates labor laws- so there isn't a system in place? We are **it out of luck because our server had to take a break. 1st rule in restaurant business "don't make excuses". Been coming her bi weekly for months this is the first time this has happened. Either my husband and I go into the bar or sit in the dinning my husband prefers dining will not visit the bar again. read more

I've reviewed before, we come here often, but todays service was exceptional. We came again for Sunday brunch, and as busy as it was our server Victor Perez was amazing. He is very hospitable, and although he's everywhere all of the time, he does not neglect a single table. Thank you, victor! read more

Came here for my husbands birthday dinner. It was an awesome experience I order the shrimp enchiladas. We really enjoy the chips and salsa :) It was so great! Shout out to Maria who was very attentive and gave her A + Customer service. I enjoy the fact that we got a nice booth and it was quite so we got more privacy. We enjoy the food and the service. Sunday brunch was the best here! Emiliano was our server and he was the best he made our experience was just 10/10. I will be coming back

My first time at El Torito for brunch (09/24/2017) with my friends (regulars here). We were greeted practically by all employees here as well as regular customers. This place felt so welcoming, fun especially by MYRIAM, our fantastic bartender! Our Mimosas were never half full. We didn't mind waiting for 20 minutes to be seated at the bar to be with MYRIAM. The food was pretty good because I had about 6 platefuls, REALLY!!! We enjoyed the band and the friendly staff. I will definitely come back here again! read more

One star is to many after todays dinner. I ordered through Grubhub, our dinner was 45 minutes late and cold to where the taco shells fell apart. We tired to heat them up in the microwave but what a mess. And I think if you order $68.00 for some tacos for two they better be hot and good. When I called El Torito to see who was responsible for our cold food, the individual that answered the phone could care less. They repeatedly said she could not help me and that was it. They are not responsible for any delivery service. Her attitude was a I don't care and cant help you. Very unprofessional individual answering a business phone. Verdict, we will never eat at El Torito due the lack of Customer service and attitude period !!!!!! On top of it all it was a Fathers Day dinner. Thank you El Torito for nothing on this special day ! read more

Victor Perez is awesome, super sweet funny and helpful!! Definitely want to come back because of him!!

Excellent customer service, Victor was our sever and was very hospitable and helpful. Thanks again for a wonderful dine in experience!

Today was an amazing day I came in with my family to El Torito and it was greeted with such a pleasure from Adriana M. She was the most polite and most welcoming person I have ever encountered at a restaurant and I go to a lot of restaurants. They told me to wait it was about an hour but I only waited about 20 minutes and I got seated right away in the bar area, the server/bartender Myriam, greeted us with such an amazing attitude and smile made us feel right at home we ordered brunch and drinks and they were amazing the Cadillac margaritas were to die for I definitely recommend you coming to this restaurant make sure you request Myriam as your server she's amazing! read more

If I could give this "restaurant" a zero I would in a heartbeat. First of all, El Torito has extremely poor service. Food took forever to be placed and served. Waiting for 15 minutes to get our drink, and another 10 for a menu. We asked Marco, our "waiter" to bring us a 2nd Sprite but instead he brought us a Horchata and he decided to charge us for a drink we never asked for. When it came to pay for our order, Marco proceeded to charge the Horchata and NOT the 2nd Sprite. When I confronted him about the different prices he had the audacity to tell us it's the same price.. WHICH WAS NOT TRUE. This was my first time coming here with my finacé and we were not impressed. I would't eat here if I was on my death bed. Instead we received food poisoning. Beautiful location but such a disappointment. read more

The wait was horrendous and the food had little flavor. I ordered a grilled chicken taco salad and my fiancé ordered the barbacoa burrito and it didn't taste like anything. We did order the crispy flutas for an appetizer and those were amazing. The cucumber skinny margarita felt it was made entirely out of syrup. We also never got our drinks never got refilled a single time. The price itself isn't too bad but your paying for garbage read more

I come here regular with my mom for lunch. We typically grab some drinks - beer & sangria. We always go for the soup & salad. Everything is typically great. The only complaint I have is recently we went and the soup was super salty - unbearable to eat. So we asked for some new soup. They brought us back another bowl. It seemed like they just added water and mixed it together. Either way it serves no justice, as the vegetables, chicken & broth was still salty as hell. Service is great for the most part. read more
