Stopped by El Super to pick up a last minute cake. The bakery service was great. I was able to get assistance right away and picked the cake I wanted. It is a small inconvenience because once you pick the cake, they give you a label to take to the register to pay, then come back and get the cake. It's unfortunate that businesses are required to do this because of theft. I decided on getting a chocolate cake that had Oreo whipped frosting. It was $16.99 and I felt it was a pretty good value. The cake was ok. It was a little dry but I did like the subtle sweetness from the whipped frosting. It does have an artificial whipped frosting taste but it wasn't horrible. The ambiance of this store is festive. There's usually Mexican music playing in the background. There's several stations that include, Agua fracas, hot food, meat counter, tamales, bakery, etc. Don't go inside hungry or you're walking out with something ready to eat. Definitely check out El Super because it's a 1 stop grocery store. read more

This review is for the food court.... my family and I were waiting for our turn to get tacos and some ladies that came after us were helped before us when clearly we had been standing there for a while... i approached the worker and said nicely "excuse me we were here first" and the lady said the line starts here when clearly there is no sign nowhere indicating where to stand and the worker proceeded to help the lady and told me to wait when we were there first... very unprofessional and rude.... I walked out upset because they just wasted my time.... next time do better and put a sign that indicates where the line starts! read more

I had an experience with tortilla chips El Super, they are so hard to bite and chew, I could of broken my teeth, and also those shopping carts, in the cart rack so hard to pull out, they are stuck, they need to upgrade them, the plastic bags at the check out counter, the cashier needs to have them open for the customer to have easy access, not detaining the line trying to open it since the cashiers don't bag them anymore, do us a favor have them open!!!!!! read more

Store is kept clean and organized... lively music being played makes you feel alive !! Came here not only to do grocery shopping but to try their in-house restaurant. I love Chile relleno so I got the combo with beans and rice. It was delicious and seasoned well. The Jamaica Agua frescas always quenched my thirst. The new colorful blue and orange furniture in the dining area made the dining experience more appetizing. I went to the store to get meat because on the newspaper it said that it was cheaper than regular and when I went to pay the cashier put it at full price and when I told her that it was supposed to be cheaper she left for 20 minutes and came back with a different pack of meat looked really old and when we told her she asked to bring the manager and the manager was really sassy with me and left and took the meat and completely ignored me and told me to leave and then called security. This review is specifically for their store. The produce is alright but tents to be more expensive than other stores. The beer and liquor selections tends to be lackluster. However the meat and seafood counter is wonderful even though it always tends to be busy. The prices there are always pretty good and the meat to me is good. HOWEVER! With regards to the little food court I can't speak for others experience since I've never had a problem there. The food is fantastic and isn't terribly expensive for what you pay. Also, a lady fell once and the manager blamed her for not looking and he said "there's no water here!" & started stepping over it and calling someone to clean it. Some of the vegetables here are questionable. I've seen some workers before drop vegetables on the floor and pick them up and put them back. Vegetables like tomatoes, cilantro, lettuce, etc. I've gotten sacks of potatoes from here before and every time I open the sack most potatoes have a rotten side to it. The meat here is very very very gross. A lot of flies are around the meat section. Some pieces look stiff and smell nasty. I'm not sure how they've managed to get away with this for so long! Prices are okay considering how gross some of the stuff is. The kitchen food is okay, some times they do over charge so make sure to read your receipt before walking away from the counter! Lines are long and always so slow. Only thing that I do trust from here is their selection of Pan Dulce. read more

This market is ok. Their produce section is reasonable in price but I'm disappointed about the food court. I'm a regular lunch eater there and always buy combo. When I bought combo last week, I was charged at the counter the same price I have been paying but this time w/out the drink included in the combo.the cashier said they stopped that promotion where drinks is included in the combo. The prices are really good but only in the produce section, any packaged item tends to be overpriced. They're really shady on exchanges too. Daisy checked me out 2 weeks ago and I got home and my sour cream was expired, I didn't wanna drive all the way back so I waited until the next time I went shopping. She said they only accept refunds same day or within one week. No other stores policy is that shitty. It also doesn't even say that on the receipt it only says *keep your receipt for refunds* so they pretty much make up their own rules as they go. I hope they know they can get sued for selling expired items in the first place. read more
