Sorry. I did not like this place at all. Ordered a super burrito and they didn't ask what I wanted in it except for the meat. There was no salsa or pico de gallo. They used refried beans instead of whole beans. I couldn't taste the guacamole at all. The carnitas was super salty. It was kind of a mushy bland but salty mess. read more

On May 31st at 3:51 pm, I ordered my usual, steak fajita plate to go and my order was taken by the somewhat challenged English-speaking cashier, likely named Ameed. I have been coming here for months, pretty much always ordering the same thing. The gentleman who also takes orders and cashiers can attest that I average a weekly visit for the same thing as I am a creature of habit and I really like my steak fajitas. I bring others to the restaurant and consider myself a good customer only to be totally dissed by Ameed or whomever the woman that takes food orders when she's not frowning at the staff. Long story short, she misunderstood my order and when my number was called, it was a burrito, not a plate and instead of the extra tortillas I request and pay extra for I was handed a burrito with an extra wrapper on it which is not what I wanted or ordered. I was handing it back to "Ameed" who refused to take it back or answer my contention that I did not want a double-wrapped steak fajita burrito, I wanted what I ordered or a refund. Ameed would not take back the error order, would not respond to my explanation that it was not what I ordered and before things got ugly since she presenting a silent righteous front I walked away with my not desired burrito instead of my steak fajita plate which I always order because I eat half of it then save the other half for later or the next day. I told her I would dispute the charge and left it at that rather than cause a scene. I was getting the impression that being Asian was a problem at El Super Burrito and I have a very low tolerance for that type of thing so I left, very upset and I am following through with warning others that if you get Ameed taking your order at El Super Burrito, you best have her repeat it back to you 3 times because this restaurant's policy is apparently if we get your order wrong, it's too bad for you. I'd really like to speak with the Manager/Owner so I can continue to eat here when the craving hits but the issue with an unreasonable cashier, ill fit for her role due to her lack of communication skills and failure to take responsibility for her errors precludes me from that option. read more

I have eaten here many times over the last decade and always saw the food there as a little better than fast food, but today I won the lottery of food poisoning. I had carnitas in my food at lunch and some of it looked burnt and the other part of it looked slightly undercooked. It could have been a contaminated tomato or lettuce. It has been 12 hours that I have had vomiting and diarrhea. I'm laid out with cold sweats and dizziness trying to keep Pedialyte and Gatorade down. This place happens to be located near our close friend's home and the kids -- including the picky eaters -- love this place, so it's a winner for dinners together at their place. It's located in a weird looking "triangle house" (what our friend calls it for his 6 year old) so it's hard to miss. Pros: Huge portions (as with most taquerias) and tasty -- the burritos were great, the California Super nachos (nacho stuffs like guac and sour cream and beans) on fresh perfectly crisp but soft-on-the-inside fries is AMAZING. Carnitas here are very good and not gristly. Kids meal (tomato rice + quesadilla) is a crowd-pleaser. Cons: Takes a long time for food that isn't really rocket science, and it wasn't a complicated order either (several items were the same). Was about to call my husband to see if our order got lost. Menu's more limited than a lot of other taquerias, which seem to make everything and anything on cue. That said, the options they offer are good. menu is hard to locate aside from the pics on Yelp. We tried ordering online and they lost parts of our order, no rice or chips. We had to go back and they fixed it but 3 hungry children wailing about their rice was not fun, lol. OMG this place is delicious, I had no idea I would find good Mexican food in Millbrae. I keep going past this place not knowing a thing. Until yesterday I came in and enjoyed the food. I noticed they stepped up their game a little bit. I tried the Acapulco seafood burrito and it tastes a lot better than the local mexican joints near my flat. I even like it better than Chipotle which The price of two items is slightly lower than the places near my flat which is another plus. If you are not a local in the area please drop by. It's a big relief from all of the overpriced and tough food that the center of Millbrae has. I understand people have a hard time with this place but I don't. Drawback: Due to the lack of staff service can be super slow so please have some patience. It's like that for almost everywhere you go. I am ticked how they jump numbers. This place is has been around millbrae for over 25 years. It's definitely a must try if you live in the area. The California Burrito is there staple, but the taco dorados and Super Nachos are a must try as well. Their Salasa Picante is spicy and so good. The parking is relatively easy with there being a tiny one way in lot. They also have Specials everyday which reduce a certain dish in price depending on the day. Highly recommend only reason I am giving 4 stars is due to my online orders not being made perfectly even with notes included and the prices have risen quite a bit. We live around this restaurant and love their food. But last month my friend came from D.C. we bought 2 California roll to share and that was the worst ever. This is in a quaint old building on El Camino Real, with a triangular shape. Inside are booth with intricately patterned blue tile tables. The menu has favorites like the California burrito, and tacos. Prices are pretty good for what you get. I got a super burrito with carnitas, and it comes with refried beans,cheese,and guacamole. Pretty good burrito,carnitas not as browned as some places.Since it has refried beans rather than whole beans, it is quite a soft burrito. The salsa is pretty mild, chips could have been crispier. Open seven days a week, close by the Bart and airport, this was a great place to stop by for a bite after a flight. I really enjoyed the super quesadilla, which has all the parts I want from a burrito rolled up and grilled. Made a big mistake coming here. First, look at their prices on Google and Yelp. A El Camino burrito is listed for $6.85. When I went to pay, it's over $12. Nice. Also, the screen ask for a tip even if you get take out. If you don't want to give a tip, you have to press other, and another button. So two more buttons if you if don't want to give a tip for take out. I got a carne asada burrito and I barely got any in my burrito at all. I also didn't taste any sour cream, guacamole, or black beans. The chips are soaked in oil and the salsa is plain juice with no tomatoes, onion, nothing. What a big mistake this was. This is a new review, 11/22/19. I always loved this place and have been going here my whole life. This is the second time I have been here since the new ownership took over. I am beyond disappointed. We ordered at 5:49 and got our order at 6:29. Literally a 40 minute wait. They were not any busier than normal for the dinner rush. There were the same number of staff making the food that normally would be, and I recognized 2 of the ladies as original staff. I finally got our order to go, although I ordered it for here. When we got home, our black beans were pintos. Not a big deal. I ordered two tacos, and got empty tortillas for one and some sloppy meat and nothing else for the other. I really want to keep going to what has always been an amazing place. Please figure out what is wrong with the new system before you lose more faithful long-time customers. read more

I didn't realize I never had a review about El Super Burrito until now. The most consistent taqueria I've had. Been a frequent here for years, even after the owners sold during the pandemic, they kept the same personnel and recipes! Though they did raise the prices recently (who hasn't?!) they are probably the most bang for your buck with their food. The burritos are HEFTY and dense! I switch between the Bay Area burrito, tacos dorados (2) or nachos! Carne asada, pollo asado, al pastor (has pineapple, not onion!!! ) and carnitas are all really good options I switch around with. Just a heads up, these tacos dorados are NOT like taquito roll ups- they are double corn tortilla tacos that are lightly fried, soft with a bit of a crunch to them! I mention this Just in case you're expecting a potato taquito. read more

Requested side jalapeño, nope forgot it, napkins, utensils, ..request for it! otherwise, you get nothing. No frills, meat was a little on the dry side, but the ingredients tasted fresh and the meat was well seasoned. Just tried this place and so happy to have found some authentic California Mexican food on this side of the bay. I grew up in San Jose so I know when I've had great California Mexican food. I got the Wet Happy Burrito with Shrimp and my husband got the Super Quesadilla. Both were incredibly delicious. The Wet burrito was the size of my forearm! You definitely can share it between two adults. I took half of mine to go. Also the flan was super delicious with a hint of cinnamon! Yum! I'll definitely be back!! Probably one of the worst Mexican places I've ever been to. The burrito was mostly rice, the tortilla was undercooked, it had huge chunks of tomato, the beans were almost non existent, and their red salsa is more like marinara sauce. The only good thing I had was their green salsa. Also the service was slow. Do yourself a favor drive down 1 more mile and go to Taqueria Mi Durango. I won't ever come back here. read more
