One of the most ginormous burritos ever, to the point I did several bicep curls with it... and got a workout. Super cute and festive, colorful interior with an authentic menu. I got their veggie with rice whole and refried pinto minus the guacamole but with cheese, pico de gallo and sour cream with lettuce. Loved it. Solid and robust with flavors popping. Customer service was friendly and on point fast and efficient. The prices are right with great value for the generous portions. Parking is easy during day but weekends evenings might be hard.

We were, once again, looking for lunch after a doctor's appointment for mom. Her mobility is getting more challenging so it's critical that we park as close as possible to wherever it is that we're going. I had been thinking of a restaurant in Millbrae, but parking was impossible. I ended up driving to Burlingame. I grabbed the first parking space that I could and then we used yelp to find a place to eat. There were a few places nearby but then I opened my eyes are realized that we were parked in front of a Mexican restaurant. We looked it up on yelp and it has a decent rating. There were a couple of tables for two in front so our dog would be comfortable sitting with us. I borrowed one chair from the other table and mom and I sat down while my wife went inside to get a closer look at the menu. Then she came out and took the dog while I took a look. When I came back out, we figured out what we would order. After she placed the order and paid, she came back out with an order number that she placed on the table. After short wait, drinks were served. Then two of our dishes, and immediately after, the third dish as well as set-ups and extra napkins. Chicken Enchiladas with Mole Sauce, Rice, Beans and Salad - 5 - Mom ate all the rice, some beans and one enchilada and said that she enjoyed it. The reality is that she ate 2/3's of the enchilada because she kept pulling out the chicken and feeding it to the dog. I had the rest the next day after microwaving it and it was delicious! Super Nachos - 5 - Every now and then, my wife likes to go off the reservation and order Nachos. To me, they're just an appetizer but she wanted it for a meal so there you go. She enjoyed it immensely although she only managed to finish 1/2 of it. Quesabirria Tacos - 5 - I was slightly disappointed when they arrived at the table. Whoever assembled them must have poured a bit of consommé onto them before laying them down on their sides. Because of this, the downside of the tortilla soaked up the liquid and was kind of soft and mushy while the top side was nice and crunchy. The cheese pull was ridiculous. Too much of the wrong kind of cheese. Felt like I was eating a slice of Cheese Pizza. BUT, the beef was fantastic. The consommé was the best that I can remember ever enjoying. It was so beefy! Service was fast, friendly and excellent.

Pretty solid taqueria. Ordered their super burrito with carne asada and extra sour cream. Compared to the low rated reviews, my burrito was filled with lots of carne asada. Meat was cooked well and juicy. Was surprised when the plate came with plain tortilla chips with no salsa, but they do offer both red and green bottles of salsa. Also ordered their regular churros and caramel filled churro (not shown). Loved how crunchy and sweet they tased. You can tell they're made fresh. Would come back to try their tacos!

We ordered from grubhub, and the funny thing is they delivered to our neighbor instead of our house. The food was ok, but comparing to other Mexican restaurants was pretty disappointing in my opinion. The shrimp super nachos was exceptionally delicious, with very generous portion of shrimps. The Mole plate was spicy and chicken pieces were very small. The steak fajitas was so tough and not bitable. Overall, not good experience and we probably not order again, or may be just nachos.

Loved that they had the traditional Tlayuda on their menu. Love trying new food. Super friendly service.

Good fresh Mexican food. This place started as a food truck that was very popular and now they have a very nice restaurant. The fish and shrimp tacos were excellent. The Tlayuda was also very good with three different kinds of beef and pork along with Oaxaca cheese. The green sauce was very good but be warned the red sauce is incredibly hot (and I like spicy!). My only complaint is no complementary chips and salsa with the meal. Next time I want to try to Quesabirrias and the Sopes. Overall very good. Burlingame can sure use more restaurants with good food like this.

This review is strictly for their drinks. My friends and I were looking at agua frecas because we were thirsty and the agua frescas here are homemade and taste really good. We got the mango and horchata and it was so good we came back for their pineapple and their strawberry. We'll be back for their food soon, so I'll let you know!

I'm an al pastor burrito guy and this one was way too heavy on the spice/seasoning and kinda overpowered everything. Also there was barely any trace of tater tots which I was really looking forward to. My daughters ate the asada and said it was just ok. One thing is that the burritos are smaller than your super at El Farolito but they do pack it in there and it's pretty filling! The birria was actually pretty good and they gave a couple different sauces and cabbage and I would recommend it. I was also looking forward to eating the churro donuts on the drive back home because I thought they would be hot n good but that wasn't the case. They musta pulled them out from under a warming lamp because they were barely lukewarm to cold so that was a fail. Overall, it's not bad, but definitely pricier than most of the other popular Mex spots and now that I think about it, I probably won't go back because of it. There's plenty good Mex around for a lot less $$. I coulda gotten 3 super burritos from Farolito for $35 vs ~$75 that I paid at Suavecito.

I've been having such terrible luck with Mexican restaurants lately, so I decided to give this food…read moretruck a try. I ordered the tostadas de ceviche, shrimp tacos, and quesabirria tacos. Based on some other reviewers claiming they were overcharged, I paid close attention to the total. In my case, I was not overcharged. The prices listed at the time of my visit were $13.75 for the tostadas de ceviche, $6 each for the shrimp tacos, and $4.50 each for the quesabirria tacos. The tax charged also appeared consistent with the expected 9.25%. Unfortunately, my experience raised some serious food-handling concerns. The first thing that caught my attention happened before I even received my food. I watched the woman who took my order step out of the food truck, walk over to a pickup truck, and retrieve something from the back. I couldn't clearly see what she was getting because she seemed to make an effort to keep it out of my view. She used her apron almost like a bag to cover whatever she had picked up before returning to the food truck. She then looked at me and smirked as she walked back inside. Almost immediately afterward, I heard her and the cook begin preparing the food, including seasoning the birria and shrimp on the grill. I obviously can't say exactly what she retrieved or how it had been stored, but seeing seafood apparently being brought in from the bed of a pickup truck was concerning. Seafood needs to be kept at proper refrigerated temperatures, and from what I could observe, I had no way of knowing whether the product had been properly temperature-controlled. Even if it was in a cooler, I would still have concerns about whether the proper temperature had been maintained. Another issue was the handling of money and food. The same person collecting payment was also preparing the food. When I paid with cash, I could see pieces of cilantro and onion still on her hands while she handled the money. Watching someone go directly from handling cash to preparing food without an apparent handwashing or glove change was disturbing and, at minimum, gave me serious concerns about sanitation. As far as the atmosphere goes, this is a food truck, so expectations should obviously be different from a traditional restaurant. The operating truck is parked on the street, while there appear to be two additional food trucks stationed on an adjacent property. That property appears to be a stationary setup rather than trucks parked along the street. There was also one picnic table with an umbrella where customers could sit and eat, which was a nice option if you want to eat there. Now, despite all of those concerns, I had paid more than $40 for the food, so I ate it, and this is where things get complicated. The ceviche was phenomenal. Honestly, I've never had ceviche this good. The flavors and textures were better than anything similar I've eaten recently. The tostadas had an excellent crunch, and the ratio of ceviche to tortilla was perfect. There was enough topping on each tostada that I could get a little bit of everything in every bite. Based strictly on the ceviche, I would absolutely return. The shrimp tacos, on the other hand, were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't particularly memorable either. The bell peppers mixed into the shrimp threw off the flavor balance for me. I think the tacos would be better without them, or at least with less of them. The quesabirria was also just okay. I've had better elsewhere, and I was charged extra for the consommé, which was something to keep in mind. So overall, I have very mixed feelings about this place. The ceviche alone was good enough that I'd want to come back, but the food-handling and sanitation concerns I witnessed would make me think twice. The food itself has some real potential, particularly the ceviche, but I'd like to see more attention paid to food handling, temperature control, and basic sanitation practices before I could feel comfortable recommending the place without reservations.
