Besides, can't utilize my favorite trick - chowing down on half of a taco, accidentally spilling the contents into the second tortilla and pretend you had another taco. For reals, it feels like you're getting an additional taco. I got one of the beef and the chicken and they just didn't whisk me back to the dirty taco trucks of LA. It came in one of those red-white checkered small trays that usually hold a corn dog or something. And they had a handful of round tortilla chips for a side. Tacos are pretty good for only being a dollar, we are also a fan of the quesadillas. But if you struggle to pronounce things in Spanish be prepared to be laughed at or have your order messed up. I would not go back here. I got a chicken burrito with chips and guacamole. The burrito was primarily composed of white rice. The only black beans to be found were at the back, and there was not much chicken either. The chips were from a bag, I believe Tostitos, and the salsa I asked for was Tapatio. I was given a refund, no questions asked... That was the good. I got my order and had to run to my office to take a call. When I opened the box, the "steak" I ordered turned out to be a processed product made with filler like cheep gyro. This is not ok for people with food allergies (like me). I tried to explain why I needed a refund, and that advertising steak and serving something else was an issue. It did not seem like that mattered. He gave me a cash refund and took the box back. I ended up having to stand in line twice, walk back and forth to my office twice, and and eat later than planned (food from a different truck). My husband had been begging me to eat at this place for a while but I've got this weird complex with possibly getting food poisoning so I refused. I finally broke down and went with him and I'm so glad I did. The tacos are so good and they're only a dollar. They're street tacos so they're small but being only a dollar, you don't feel bad getting 5 of them. The quesadillas are also great and the portion is massive. We were able to share one between the two of us. The red sauce isn't spicy at all but the green sauce definitely has a kick if you eat enough of it. They're pretty quick making the food and if you live close and get it to go, the food will definitely still be hot when you get home. We've gone 3 days in a row since I tried it! read more

I finally tried El Senors tacos, I have to say the tacos were very good. The tacos are delicious but they are small. My wife is 5' Tall and weighs 98 lbs but she ate 5 of them!! I ate 8 of them with ease. The are worth trying. I also bought a beef fajita Quesadilla and it also rocked. The next time I buy from them I will try the burritos. My family has passed this place for months and decided to try it for the first time a week ago. We are back again a week later, this time we brought our nephew with us because the food was SO GOOD! I had heard about this food truck for months, so today I decided I would give them a try. And I must admit it was the best taco salad I have ever had. The steak was so tender and packed so much flavor. Adding the corn was just the right note and the taco shell was just amazing, I couldn't put my fork down. Being from southern California, we are used to authentic Mexican food. All this Tex-Mex out here had us down, but this taco truck gave us hope. We ordered ten carne asada tacos for the family. The corn tortillas are on the smaller side, but efficient for only $1. My wife had 3 and I ate.. the rest of them. The meat was cooked well and had no fat. I will be back to experiment with the rest of their menu for sure and recommend this spot to others looking for a more authentic flavor. Señor Taco is my go-to food truck anytime I see it. I love their taco salads and the shells are unique and delicious. Often, the sour cream and salsa are watery, but the flavor of them both are great. This isn't the most authentic Mexican food you'll find in the District, but if you don't mind that, it's delicious. I'm always a bit surprised at the length of the wait for food, especially when there aren't any orders in front of mine, but the staff tend to be friendly and accommodating. If you have a larger appetite, I recommend getting a side -- the salad on its own often isn't enough for me, but as I get these during my thirty-minute lunch break, I don't always have time for more food (so, that's mostly on me). Definitely worth a try if you like solid food, but I think you'll either love it or hate it. read more

No no no! I am a huge fan of tacos and taco trucks, enjoying a few up in Silver Spring, Eastern Market, even Baja Fresh! But this is no taco for anyone who wants anything close to tasty. I had a taco de pollo / chicken and a taco de carne asada / grilled beef or steak, and both were awful. The taco shell was wet, the taco chicken or meat had a plasticky taste (gross). There was no flavoring, at all (even with the hot sauce - thank goodness for that!). And add to it - despite the "low" price you pay for a bad experience. You still lose. In any event I think if you are looking for a good taco, trust Tortilla Cafe over in Eastern Market. It may not be the tacos you remember from a taco truck you loved or California or Texas or Mexico...but at least it's a taco worth eating! This one isn't. read more

I've found one other place matching consistency, quality, and value and I've been eating everything from the south side, Katy, Conroe, Spring, Houston, to Galveston.
