Waitress was very nice and attentive. She was new and that's okay. Foot wasn't horrible but lacked flavor. Basic cheese enchilada plate. The enchilada was not bad, the meat sauce was decent, beans and rice had no flavor. Chips and their spicy salsa were very good, their regular salsa was like tomato soup. Queso tasted like the cheese on a microwave tv dinner enchiladas. Would try again with another dish but this time it missed the mark.

Whatever they sautéd the mushrooms in did not match the flavors of the ckn. They were very juicy and made the tortillas soggy. Nothing like I've ever had before anywhere! The salsa had no flavor. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the Number 5 plate, which included a taco, guacamole tostada, rice, and beans. The presentation was excellent, making the meal both eye-catching and appetizing. The restaurant is conveniently located in an upscale shopping center, adding to the overall dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage anyone looking for quality Tex-Mex to add it to their must-visit list.

While I don't care for chunky salsa, I would want it to be a little thicker and more flavorful. It came with two other salsas, which I did not care for. I did have to ask for a refill of salsa. I always get excited seeing mole and spicy options on the menu, so I got the cheese enchilada with mole and spicy chipotle sauce. I wasn't warned about the spice level, and it was very spicy with a strong chipotle taste that I couldn't eat. I also wasn't checked on to make sure I enjoyed the food, and I had to flag the server down for my check. I was expecting this place to be better.

If you want solid Mexican food but want to avoid the massive chains or pricey fine-dining spots, Mil Amores is a fantastic local business to support. Here is the breakdown of what to expect: The Best Items: My absolute favorite is the fish tacos--easily one of the best things on the menu. The barbacoa tacos are also great, and I highly recommend their caldo (delicious with the tortillas) and fresh agua frescas. The Average Items: The rest of the taco lineup is just okay, not the absolute best I've ever had, but definitely not the worst. The Changes: They used to serve complimentary chips and salsa, but it seems like they stopped doing that. Also, the salsa that comes with the tacos or burritos is now pretty watered down and lacks flavor. Finally, they used to make their tortillas fresh by hand, but lately, they seem like basic corn tortillas. Service: Very straightforward. You order at the counter, they bring the food to your table, and you pay at the register when you're done. Because it's a great local spot, it gets packed at midday with local workers. I highly recommend trying to time your visit right before or just after the main lunch rush to beat the crowds. Overall, it's a solid, casual local spot that I'll keep coming back to!
