Have eaten here many times in the past and food was ok, but the margaritas were always great. Ate here last night and the food was still just ok, but unfortunately the margaritas were not very good (lots of mix and couldn't taste any tequila). We tried two rounds and even tried upgrading the tequila. Our servers English was poor and didn't seem to understand what we were trying to convey to him, so he brought the manager over. The manager brought a couple of small shots to pour into our drinks, so that was nice that he tried. Unfortunately we were disappointed that the drinks are now watered down. Was super stoked for some enchiladas and tacos while passing through Brunswick and we ordered the combo with a taco, chalupa, enchilada, tamale, and Chile rellano with rice and beans for take out. The taco and chalupa were in the same container, pretty soggy, couldn't tell which was which but they were the best of the meal. Unfortunately, the tamale, chile, and enchilada were not so great.... Living the broke life rn so we are saving them for desperate times. Desperate times indeed. read more

Excellent food, differently the best Mexican Food in Brunswick. They are very quick at bringing you free chips and salsa, and taking your food order. The food comes out quickly. Unfortunately they tend to ignore you after your food is delivered. Getting a refill on soft drinks or more salsa is next to impossible. If you do manage to flag someone down and ask for a refill you never get it . On the plus side the food is excellent, the portions are just right and the prices are reasonable. read more

Atmosphere and staff were top notch for sure. However, the food was far below par. My drink was more ice than alcoholic. Ordered the shrimp quesadillas and they were soggy. The only cheese I noticed was melted American cheese which was depressing. We ordered the beef nachos and again... The only cheese on them was basic melted American cheese. I have been coming to this restaurant off and on for a couple of years and think that it has improved significantly in the past few months. In the early years I think they tried too hard to make their food acceptable to people who were not familiar with Mexican food. More recently their spicing is more interesting and the overall effect is tasty. I have had carne asada burritos and a burrito jalisco recently and enjoyed both. I have mostly been there for lunch or takeout at non-busy times and service has been fine. Yes, one must be sure that the order is understood correctly, but I have had only one small problem that was quickly fixed. Keep the instructions simple, don't shout, point at the line in the menu - just like if you were in Mexico and didn't speak Spanish. Enjoy the experience. read more

I just had a late supper at this relatively new place that opened during the pandemic in the old Pizza Hut. I had chicken and spinach enchiladas in a pablano-spinach sauce. These people do Mexican right! They should bottle the pablano sauce. The marinated chicken and fresh spinach inside the enchiladas was moist and fresh tasting. I had door dash delivery for lunch. Door dash delivered promptly, but my food was cold! It also had some weird sauce in the bottom, it actually looked like it had been sitting for a very long time. I did a timed delivery, but one would think they would not prepare the food until it was closer to the pick up. The chicken in my chimichanga was dry and tough, my tortillas soggy from the sauce, and it was cold! Sorry, never again. I don't even know where to begin. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful. The food is out of this world delicious and authentic. No kidding my wife and I went on a binge and ended up eating here like 15 to 20 times in a two month period. We had a goal of not eating the same thing twice. So far I have held true to my word, and I have yet to have had one menu item that I regretted or didn't like. My wife is hung-up on the ultimate quesadilla and has ordered that the last few times we have gone. Oh....and you can not forget about the margaritas....oh boy!!!! I am from Texas and this is NOT good Mexican food at all. The service is ridiculous because no one can understand you. I've had to send my orders back several times because the waiters did not understand my order. The other day I drove up to pick up my "to go" order at the window and staff walked past the window and completely ignored me for 15 minutes. They all had made eye contact, but never acknowledged me at all. Finally, I had to yell through window to get someone to come assist me and bring my food. We ordered beef fajitas, fajita nachos, and a burrito. The beef was dry, veggies raw, toppings for fajita was 75% packaged salad (the kind that comes with chopped cabbage). The salsa tasted like toothpaste. They ignored our request for a side of hot sauce. The only item that tasted good was the burrito because it has extra queso to add favor and moisture. My mom, Aunt and I ate here today and really enjoyed the excellent food which was very flavorful. They served the chips and salsa as we sat down and took our drink order. The Cheesesteak Burrito was excellent along with probably the best beans & rice I've had at a Mexican food restaurant. The portions are very generous. Free refills for soda is always nice.
