I was starving so I stopped here. Almost as soon as I walked in a knew I was making a mistake. I sat at the bar and the bartender didn't appear for at least five minutes. The Pacifico on tap was fine. The free chips were okay, but the salsa was overpoweringly salty. In fact, everything they served me was overpowering salty. If I had to choose two words to describe this place those words would be salty and sloppy. I ordered the "chicken enchiladas supreme." The enchiladas were brutally salty, almost inedible. The lettuce they served with it may not have been washed, and the end of the head of lettuce was on my plate too. They provided me with maybe a half a teaspoon of sour cream. The rice was dry and flavorless, and also incredibly salty. This is terrible food and I would be embarrassed to serve this salty slop to anyone. The staff was friendly, literally the staff and the beer were the only redeeming qualities here. And please, let me describe to you how insanely salty the food was, if I can. Have you ever swallowed water at the beach? From the ocean? That is less salty than this. The salsa, which would have been fine with no salt, was like red brine. Unsurprisingly I was pretty disappointed. It seemed like a typical northeast "Mexican" restaurant, which are never great, but I've never been so disappointed in a meal anywhere before. Sorry for the long rant, but it's been like half an hour since I ate and I can't get the saltiness out of my mouth. You'd be better off going to Taco Bell up the street, and they're not even a good tbell location. read more

Have eaten here many times in the past and food was ok, but the margaritas were always great. Ate here last night and the food was still just ok, but unfortunately the margaritas were not very good (lots of mix and couldn't taste any tequila). We tried two rounds and even tried upgrading the tequila. Our servers English was poor and didn't seem to understand what we were trying to convey to him, so he brought the manager over. The manager brought a couple of small shots to pour into our drinks, so that was nice that he tried. Unfortunately we were disappointed that the drinks are now watered down. Was super stoked for some enchiladas and tacos while passing through Brunswick and we ordered the combo with a taco, chalupa, enchilada, tamale, and Chile rellano with rice and beans for take out. The taco and chalupa were in the same container, pretty soggy, couldn't tell which was which but they were the best of the meal. Unfortunately, the tamale, chile, and enchilada were not so great.... Excellent food, differently the best Mexican Food in Brunswick. They are very quick at bringing you free chips and salsa, and taking your food order. The food comes out quickly. Unfortunately they tend to ignore you after your food is delivered. Getting a refill on soft drinks or more salsa is next to impossible. If you do manage to flag someone down and ask for a refill you never get it . On the plus side the food is excellent, the portions are just right and the prices are reasonable. read more

I just had a late supper at this relatively new place that opened during the pandemic in the old Pizza Hut. I had chicken and spinach enchiladas in a pablano-spinach sauce. These people do Mexican right! They should bottle the pablano sauce. The marinated chicken and fresh spinach inside the enchiladas was moist and fresh tasting. I had door dash delivery for lunch. Door dash delivered promptly, but my food was cold! It also had some weird sauce in the bottom, it actually looked like it had been sitting for a very long time. I did a timed delivery, but one would think they would not prepare the food until it was closer to the pick up. I don't even know where to begin. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, and helpful. The food is out of this world delicious and authentic. No kidding my wife and I went on a binge and ended up eating here like 15 to 20 times in a two month period. We had a goal of not eating the same thing twice. So far I have held true to my word, and I have yet to have had one menu item that I regretted or didn't like. I have been coming to this restaurant off and on for a couple of years and think that it has improved significantly in the past few months. In the early years I think they tried too hard to make their food acceptable to people who were not familiar with Mexican food. More recently their spicing is more interesting and the overall effect is tasty. I have had carne asada burritos and a burrito jalisco recently and enjoyed both. I have mostly been there for lunch or takeout at non-busy times and service has been fine. Yes, one must be sure that the order is understood correctly, but I have had only one small problem that was quickly fixed. The only cheese I noticed was melted American cheese which was depressing. We ordered the beef nachos and again... The only cheese on them was basic melted American cheese. I am from Texas and this is NOT good Mexican food at all. The service is ridiculous because no one can understand you. I've had to send my orders back several times because the waiters did not understand my order. The other day I drove up to pick up my "to go" order at the window and staff walked past the window and completely ignored me for 15 minutes. We ordered beef fajitas, fajita nachos, and a burrito. The beef was dry, veggies raw, toppings for fajita was 75% packaged salad (the kind that comes with chopped cabbage). The salsa tasted like toothpaste. They ignored our request for a side of hot sauce. The only item that tasted good was the burrito because it has extra queso to add favor and moisture. My mom, Aunt and I ate here today and really enjoyed the excellent food which was very flavorful. They served the chips and salsa as we sat down and took our drink order. The Cheesesteak Burrito was excellent along with probably the best beans & rice I've had at a Mexican food restaurant. The portions are very generous. Free refills for soda is always nice.
