Chicharron de Pescado. Pretty good

Over the years, I have eaten here several times. Although I no longer work near this place, I still take the drive on some weekends because my family often craves their food. Post Covid, they now keep their door locked and take out orders are done outside but it's very efficient and they often offer you cold water while you wait. If you're dining in, they will still allow you to eat inside but it's controlled as far as capacity. I've mentioned, in many of my reviews that it's rare to find restaurants similar to this one with great food AND great customer service. Usually when you dine at a place that gets heavy traffic like Rinconcito Peruano, the staff gets so busy that they forget to be friendly but this is not the case here. As a matter of fact, since I've been ordering take out for so long, and I don't speak Spanish, I have my own person whom I speak with when I call in and she is the sweetest person. I ask for #4 (that's her number) and she comes to the phone and assists me. She even remembers the special things I like and always adds those little touches to my food each and every time without me having to ask each time (extra sauce etc). It's gotten to the point that she even greets me with a warm hug when I arrive to pick up my order. I feel so special when I come here. On one occasion, I asked my niece to call in the order for me. I told her "SALTADO" but her horrible pronunciation...lol, it sounded like she was saying "SUDADO". So of course, the order was incorrect but they were so nice about it that they ended up giving me a gift certificate towards my next order! I was shocked!!! I live too far away to come here as often as I would like to but I love it here!!! The food is always delicious and the staff is always PHENOMENAL! Thank you Rinconcito Peruano and #4 for making me feel your warm hospitality and friendly welcome each and every time I come! I'll be back soon...

This restaurant is full of love and happiness. You can feel it the minute you walk in and in every bite of the food! The service is like no other; they cater to your every request. Plus they are super economical for having food so fresh and well made (hard to find these days). This place is a gem!

I have been coming here for years and this restaurant never disappoints. Food is always good. Out of many Peruvian restaurants I have tried it can't compare to this neighborhood gem. Tucked away in Hialeah in a non descript shopping center it is definitely a trip to make. Service is top notch. I recommend highly.

The place is good to introduce you the Peruvian food, they have the almost topical plate. You can think that each plate is expensive but actually not because the portions are big and believe me, you can order to share it. I ordered "leche de Tigre" and was normal, not big deal, it can be better, however "lomo saltado" was really great and I think that is a great option. The "arroz chaufa" (Peruvian fried rice) was normal. Ask for Maria, she knows how to give you a pleasant time during your visit.

Rinconcito Peruano is Peruvian home cooking at its best. I really don't know why I haven't written a review of this place before... I have been coming here for years. Even before they had a restaurant ! When visiting Rinconcito Peruano order the fish ceviche, choros a la chalaca, Jalea mixta and maybe a Parihuela. I know it is a lot of food so either bring friends or take a few trips. You will like them all. The Parihuela soup is excellent, lots of seafood and a touch of spiciness that keeps drawing you in. Jalea mixta is this dish with all fried seafood (delicious). If you like drinks try the passion fruit pisco. This unpretentious restaurant delivers in food and in service. Thumbs up

Turn out the lights and smack your momma! This food is so good and the service is top notch. If you like seafood you need to check this place out. My mother in law raves about this place and I was so skeptical- she offered to take us there and wow was she right. I love seafood and a dish called the Jalea Mista is a mound of Piping Hot (because every dish is made fresh to order) Calamari, Jumbo Shrimp, Grouper and Mussels in a light batter over a bed of lettuce - fried Yucca and thinly sliced purple onion. I'm posting a picture but it really does it no justice- 2 people can eat from this dish. If your really hungry order the Ceviche also huge portion and super fresh. This is the real deal. That was so good I also tried their other location on Bird Rd for Cuban food and it was also great. P.S. the Sangria looked awesome.

Everything is GOOD! From their flavorful ropa vieja, palomilla, and milanesa to their delicious side dishes and even seafood platters, you really can't go wrong! They offer authentic Cuban flavors with a great variety of options for everyone. A special shoutout to our waitress, Gloria, who was absolutely wonderful! Super attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Great food, generous variety, and amazing service. No complaints here! Easily a 5/5 and a family favorite we'll continue coming back to!

I ordered three Cuban Special sandwiches and one Miami Sandwich to go. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. A Cuban sandwich should be generous, with plenty of pork, ham, and cheese. When I got home and opened the sandwiches, I was honestly shocked. The Cuban Special had only a couple of thin slices of ham, barely any visible pork, and very little cheese. The amount of filling was extremely disappointing. The Miami Sandwich was actually more decent and enjoyable compared with the Cuban Special, but the Cuban Special was simply not what I expect a Cuban sandwich to be. The restaurant itself looked clean and well maintained, and the people who helped me were friendly. Unfortunately, the quality and portion of the food completely ruined the experience. I hadn't had a Cuban sandwich in a couple of years, and I was excited to share something I really enjoy with my nephew. Instead, this experience actually ruined some of my good memories of what a Cuban sandwich should be. There is hardly anything that frustrates me more than a restaurant ruining a meal I was looking forward to and unfortunately, that is exactly what happened here. If the restaurant needs to charge more to put a proper amount of pork, ham, and cheese in the Cuban Special, I would rather pay more and get a real Cuban sandwich. Based on my experience, I would not recommend coming here for a Cuban sandwich. The Cuban Special, which should be one of their signature items, needs a major improvement.

We've been coming to Trigo Café for years, and it has become one of our family's favorite places…read more Julio, one of the owners, always makes us feel so welcomed and truly treats everyone like family. Our favorite time to visit is Sunday brunch, especially since they have a special menu. We recently came for Father's Day, and even though Julio was celebrating as a father himself, he was working incredibly hard to make sure every guest had a great experience. You can really see how much heart and dedication he pours into his business. As expected on Father's Day, there was a bit of a wait, especially since we were a larger party, but none of us minded. To thank us for our patience, Julio generously brought out croquetas for the table on the house, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I can't recommend Trigo Café enough. The food is consistently excellent, the service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like home. While brunch is our favorite, their lunch and dinner are just as great, and the new tapas and wine area they recently added is a fantastic addition. If you haven't been, you're missing out!

The girl who served me was very attentive to me when I visited and helped me with any questions i had; made me feel very welcomed.
