Very good family mid level class , geographical location; Hialeah it's not the best in Miami area. Delicious authentic Peruvian recipes, cooked at a fancy high level restaurant. We've tried Churrasco a lo pobre and ceviche de pescado, great taste, good quality ingredients, decent portions, professional presentation. Waitress service is attentive, professional, they really are very involved in "La Jato" success, special thanks to Xochi Tablada, the waitresses manager, each of customers feel are treated as you are "Somebody Special" for the Business. I feel prices of menu are slightly expensive. We visited this place in our last trip; six months ago, environment has very good improved, good soft pop and some jazz dinner music, no more horrendous disgusting high volume reggaeton and bachatas, no more TV shows, thank You!!! read more

I lowkey wasn't expecting much since this was in Hialeah but honestly the resturant was pretty good. I got the pasta and it had a tinge of sweetness, the meat was cooked really nicely. Was served hot. The food prices were pretty good ($15-$25 on average), however, the juices/drinks were wayyy too expensive. It was $8 for a juice but it did taste really good. They gave us free peanuts as an starter which was really nice. The restaurant also had pretty good vibes, I would recommend taking a date here. Not super romantic but had good lighting and decor. read more

Unfortunately, the whole experience was just okay. The ceviche we ordered had tiny, shredded pieces of fish, and the octopus was somewhat chewy. However, the chaufa was very good. The service was also, okay. They were scheduled to close at 9:00 but it was 8:00 and they were already asking us to clear our dishes, and sweeping around us. We, most likely, will not be returning. read more

Wonderful service and amazing food!! I have tried a few things on the menu everything is great. We love eating here!

From Wisconsin, came to visit my new granddaughter and family. Went to El Jato Restaurant for some great Peruvian ceviche food. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with great service. The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing, with calming music that set the perfect tone for our meal. We started with the fried yuca rellenas as appetizers, served with a delicious cheese cream dip. They were a fantastic beginning to what turned out to be an incredible meal. For the main course, I ordered the ceviche with seafood in a cilantro cream. It was outstanding! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. Additionally, the brown fried rice with well-seasoned steak pieces was a delightful complement. Our waitress was professional and extremely courteous, attending to our needs with a smile and ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. To top it all off, the sangria was excellent - a perfect way to round out a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend El Jato Restaurant for anyone looking for a fantastic meal with great service and a relaxing atmosphere. read more

The food was not good. It had some flavor but nothing amazing, I'm not sure how that's possible because it's Peruvian food and Peruvian food is delicious. My girlfriend asked for two natural juices. One was made of beetroot and the other of carrots. It was pure water. The only thing it had of fruits and veggies was the color. Both of us make natural juices EVERY morning and we use beetroot and carrots so we know what it's suppose to taste like. When we told our lying, shameless waitress she said that they were 100% all natural juice and no water was used. We were stunned and speechless by the blatant lie. She then ignored us for the rest of the time we were there. I then had to continuously ask for basic things like utensils, water, napkins, the bill. But before that juice incident, she lied about not being able to seat us at an emptier part of the restaurant... 20 mins passed and she started seating people in the same area we couldn't sit in. And before anyone says anything.. there were no reserved signs and everyone that came in back to back was sat there. It was not a party. My girlfriend ordered her daughter chicken nuggets and when they bit into it it was a few centimeters of chicken and the rest of the thickness was the breaded part. I think they bread the skin and gave it to us, that's how thin the whole thing was. Awful. The place is tight. No space, no space, no space. Pretty claustrophobic. The parking outside was horrible too. Good luck finding parking and pray that your car doesn't get hit from the neighboring car when they open the door. Worse restaurant experience we've ever had. read more

Cute restaurant with delicious Peruviam good. Went for lunch today and was so happy with the choice. Nice interior with comfortable seating and tables spread out for privacy and safety. We were quickly greeted and directed to the qr code for the menu. I tried the passionfruit juice which can be made with water or milk. Loved it! The ceviche was perfect with the right amount of acidity, onions, and corn to complent the seafood. This was a big hit! We also had the seafood rice dish with calamari and shrimp. Huge portion and very tasty. Topped lunch off with a delicious coffee. I will be back again soon when I am in this part of Hialeah to try more of their Peruvoan classics. read more

So I was in Hialeah and craving some Peruvian food, so we ordered takeout from La Jato ! I ordered some ceviche, papas a la huancaina, chaufa rice with shrimp, chaufa rice with seafood, an si gratin scallop dish, and a jalea mixta (mixed fried seafood). Well, I enjoyed everything ! The ceviche was fresh and probably the best I have had in Hialeah. Both chaufa rices basically had protein in ever bite, and the jalea mixta was fresh and had good flavor in every bite. The scallops were full of flavor with I enjoyed the shell that housed the sauce and the scallops covered in rich melted cheese. Overall my take out experience was great! I will be ordering or even better, visiting La Jato again and trying some more items from the menu ! read more

We ordered takeout from here, because it was recommended by a Peruvian college of mine. And it did not disappoint. When we got there to pick it up it was warm and ready to go. Takeout portions were pretty big. The guys finished it, but us women had to leave some for the next day. Everyone liked it. Great flavors and lots of options. I never had the stuffed yuca before Mur try it as an appetizer loved the combination with the onions and the creamy huancaina sauce read more

Honestly, great food. I'm never going to take that away from them and with it being as close to my grandmothers cooking as I can find in Hialeah. BUT the service is the WORST thing I've ever had. Honestly, a server leaving without closing out her table? It's not okay. Not briefing someone to take over my tab and then taking longer to bring me my check, with the rest of my food. Even seeing another patron at the restaurant have to get up and ask for things because the server wouldn't even check on them. It was twice that he had to get up btw. I'm hoping something happens because it's the only thing holding them back from being a fabulous restaurant. read more

Through out the years this location has had many different seafood restaurants and is well recognized by the large shark in front of restaurant, but make no mistake... this new restaurant in new Peruvian and much improved from seafood restaurants from the pant. Interior has simple decoration and is very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and tasty, but note if you want to upgrade type of fish used in your ceviche you must request and there is a $3.99 upgrade charge. Went for a business lunch and eberyone enjoyed their meal. read more

What's a lomo saltado without onions and tomatoes? ... I don't know either. Such a huge disappointment. We ordered delivery , delivery was well and on time, but the food was disappointing. Yummy place and it is very Clean. This is a restaurant that have been there for 5+ years. They have the typical dishes from Peru, and the prices are as any other Peruvian restaurant. If you like meat, I would recommend Tacu-tacu con lomo saltado. I would Also suggest to try their drink chicha morada (made out of purple corn), fish ceviche, chaufa marinero (seafood rice). They can do better with the dessert called suspiro Limeño, don't get it. Customer service is really nice. They are respectful and cordials. read more

Great food, waitress very attentions specially ms Isabel, abiente clean, cuzzi, just the sound a little high volume.

Amazing Peruvian food, completely authentic. If you make your way for lunch, they provide 'aguadito' a flavorful soup. I would recommend the Leche de Tigre, Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Tallarines Verdes, and Jalea. Being Peruvian, this restaurant truly has the closest flavor to the real thing! The service is quite good, and it is a cozy but modern and clean restaurant. You must stop by! read more

Don't sit your customers and ignore them while you cater a table RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. Your waitresses should be aware and in agreement who is going to be with which table. Excellent family restaurant, we did not dine there for took out and the food was great!

Food was ok, but careful on the price, the menu on paper and the web show one thing and the final bill is higher, 1 star loss for that. Brought it up to their attention and they fixed it for our bill, As far as the food, I'd had a very good taste but it is a little different from the typical Peruvian we are used to in south Florida. We would come back, we had the arroz como mariscos, a little heavy on saffron from other restaurants, we don't mind at all. Limited on American beer selection but wide selection on imported beer. The suggested tip is also incorrect, it is calculated after tax and this is not correct, tip should be calculated before tax, why pay tip in tax? Please fix that also. read more

The only reason I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars was because of the service! The waitress was very nice but she brought us the food and never came to ask if we needed anything else. We waited a long time for her to bring us the check, but other than that we had a great experience. The ceviche, the chaufa , and the salmon were impressive and we were pleasantly surprised by our meals. Everything tasted excellent and very generous portions.
