    Ceviche Al Cilantro

Amazing staff! Great service and probably one of the BEST ceviches I've ever had. Im not a huge fan of ceviche but someone recommended it and im really glad they did

Cilantro creme based ceviche! With outstanding brown rice.

From Wisconsin, came to visit my new granddaughter and family. Went to El Jato Restaurant for some great Peruvian ceviche food. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with great service. The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing, with calming music that set the perfect tone for our meal. We started with the fried yuca rellenas as appetizers, served with a delicious cheese cream dip. They were a fantastic beginning to what turned out to be an incredible meal. For the main course, I ordered the ceviche with seafood in a cilantro cream. It was outstanding! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. Additionally, the brown fried rice with well-seasoned steak pieces was a delightful complement. Our waitress was professional and extremely courteous, attending to our needs with a smile and ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. To top it all off, the sangria was excellent - a perfect way to round out a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend El Jato Restaurant for anyone looking for a fantastic meal with great service and a relaxing atmosphere.

    Amazing Periviam food!

Cute restaurant with delicious Peruviam good. Went for lunch today and was so happy with the choice. Nice interior with comfortable seating and tables spread out for privacy and safety. We were quickly greeted and directed to the qr code for the menu. I tried the passionfruit juice which can be made with water or milk. Loved it! The ceviche was perfect with the right amount of acidity, onions, and corn to complent the seafood. This was a big hit! We also had the seafood rice dish with calamari and shrimp. Huge portion and very tasty. Topped lunch off with a delicious coffee. I will be back again soon when I am in this part of Hialeah to try more of their Peruvoan classics.

So I was in Hialeah and craving some Peruvian food, so we ordered takeout from La Jato ! I ordered some ceviche, papas a la huancaina, chaufa rice with shrimp, chaufa rice with seafood, an si gratin scallop dish, and a jalea mixta (mixed fried seafood). Well, I enjoyed everything ! The ceviche was fresh and probably the best I have had in Hialeah. Both chaufa rices basically had protein in ever bite, and the jalea mixta was fresh and had good flavor in every bite. The scallops were full of flavor with I enjoyed the shell that housed the sauce and the scallops covered in rich melted cheese. Overall my take out experience was great! I will be ordering or even better, visiting La Jato again and trying some more items from the menu !

We ordered takeout from here, because it was recommended by a Peruvian college of mine. And it did not disappoint. When we got there to pick it up it was warm and ready to go. Takeout portions were pretty big. The guys finished it, but us women had to leave some for the next day. Everyone liked it. Great flavors and lots of options. I never had the stuffed yuca before Mur try it as an appetizer loved the combination with the onions and the creamy huancaina sauce

This is the fries, it is a lot for the portion.

The food is the best I've ever had, the service is very good, and the ambiance is really good, 10/10

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. Such a great personality, and she went out of her way to explain all the details before we ordered. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10

I usually approach fusion restaurants with a healthy amount of skepticism. Too often, they feel…read morelike culinary speed dating, two cuisines forced together in the hope that chemistry magically appears. More often than not, one side dominates, the other disappears, and everybody loses. At Amazonia, a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Miami, that fear evaporates somewhere around the first bite. The opening argument came in the form of Gyoza Huancaína, pan-fried dumplings stuffed with lomo saltado and served with a vivid yellow huancaína sauce. It is the kind of dish that sounds gimmicky when described aloud. Then you eat it. The dumplings delivered deep savory notes from the beef, while the creamy sauce added brightness, spice, and richness. It felt less like a fusion experiment and more like a dish that had always existed. Four dumplings arrived on the plate. Four was not enough. My entrée, the Midori Risotto, continued the conversation between Japan and Peru. A strikingly green risotto made with kale and edamame arrived topped with grilled shrimp, microgreens, and dots of black garlic aioli. The rice was cooked properly, retaining a slight bite, while the edamame added texture and sweetness. The shrimp brought balance to the richness, and the black garlic aioli quietly tied everything together. It was a dish that managed to be both comforting and elegant. To drink, I ordered the Nikkei Lemonade, a blend of yuzu, Peruvian ginger, and huacatay. Bright, citrusy, and refreshing, it reset the palate after each bite and served as a reminder that the fusion extends beyond the food. My wife chose the braised short rib, a dish for diners who may not be ready to take the full leap into the restaurant's more adventurous offerings. Braised for 72 hours and served over mashed potatoes, it collapsed under the gentlest pressure from a fork. The beef was intensely flavorful, and the braising liquid was rich enough to make you consider asking for a spoon. Dessert brought one final East-meets-West moment. The Flan Nikkei paired a silky custard with miso caramel, whipped cream, and fresh strawberry. The miso added just enough savory depth to keep the sweetness from becoming predictable. It was a thoughtful ending to a meal built on thoughtful combinations. Amazonia succeeds because it understands something many fusion restaurants do not. Combining cuisines is not about piling flavors on top of one another. It is about finding where they naturally intersect. Here, Japanese precision and Peruvian boldness meet in the middle, and both emerge better for it. Fusion rarely wins me over, but Amazonia makes a compelling case for keeping an open mind.
