Originally I wanted to do wing it Wednesday at Flanagan's in Hialeah. On my way over there I realized I I left my ID at home, so ordering pitchers of beer was out the questions. So I decided to have some real food instead. I looked up on Yelp what restaurants were around me and clicked on the golden cicle star on the map and here it is. I was really surprised pulling up to the location. It's pretty big and looks like a sports bar from out side. Inside was really nice. Coupe huge Flat screen TVs a bar a potential dj and dance floor section towards the back. Really neat. Immediately we were attended a young lady. She brought our menus. I was impressed that They serve natural juices. Definitely two thumbs up for that one. I ordered a passion fruit one. Couldn't decide what type of ceviche to choose from. They had an impressive selection of styles. I settled for a fish ceviche the old fashion way. Just add a tad of picante and your good. Definitely passed my ceviche trial. I loved it. I then ordered lomo salteado with beef. Also delicious. This place definitely won me over. I will be coming back to try more ceviche styles and dishes. read more

Definitely a great new gem in one of Hialeah's shopping plazas. Great attention to detail and customer service. The establishment was very clean and our waiter was very helpful. We had quite a few things off the menu and it was all truly delicious. I heard about this place through Yelp and decided to pick up a menu last week while i was on my way home. There are many restaurants around my area but very few deliver so I was excited to find out they did offer delivery. Delivery was fast and efficient. The order we made was pretty big and we made a couple of special requests and they still got the order correct. We ended up ordering take out twice that week and visiting for brunch on Sunday. We were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant was completely empty which was surprising. On Sundays they offer you bottomless draft beer or mimosas for $15 per person when you purchase a meal. After a six day work week I could not resist opting for the bottomless mimosas. The menu offers many of the classic Peruvian dishes as well as some fusion causas and ceviches. They also offer a variety of fresh juices, wine, beer and spirits. What I Recommend: -Ceviche "El Caliente": Ceviche and rocoto together are one of my favorite combinations ever. I requested this to be made as spicy as possible. So good! You have the option of upgrading the swai to corvina for a small fee but since it was going to be smothered in a hot pepper sauce, I just stuck with the swai. -Sol y luna: Ceviche and jalea in one plate for those of you who are undecided about which one you want. We opted to for the corvina instead of the usual swai they use for it. I think it was maybe a $9 upcharge but I find it worth it when you're ordering classic ceviche. - Mango, Strawberry, Maracuya Juice: Huge serving for only $5! It is blended to order and feels more like a smoothie but wow, absolutely delicious and refreshing without being overly sweet. The passion fruit gives it a nice kick. -Fuente: Not exactly sure what it's called but that's what it said on my receipt. Basically it was a choice of four different items for $45. This is awesome for people who can't decide on what they want or want to try a little bit of everything. Our came with a shrimp causa, choritas a la chalaca, jalea and chaufa de res. This plate is perfect for sharing for 2-4 people and the price is a steal. Our server Alejandra was outstanding and provided us with great suggestions. This is a new spot in Hilaeah that I wanted to check out after reading a fellow yelper review. Overall, I would give the place a 3.5, but let's round it up to 4 for Yelp purposes. Place wasn't pack during lunch hour but this is an area where people look for a budget lunch instead of fine dining, so, I wasn't surprised. They do have a lunch menu that I wasn't aware of as they never offered to me. We all love the cancha (toasted corn with salt ); sorry but it tasted old. Sounds stupid but when you have so many Peruvian restaurants in Miami, small details like this are important. The waiter offered the chef specials which I think were a bit pricy for the area. Also, I think the extra charge for corbina takes the prices to a different level and I'm not sure I would pay that for this location on a date for instance. I went with a causa with shrimp which was delicious except from the pink sauce on top. I feel like aji de gallina would have been more appropriate since pink sauce is for French fries and hot dogs. The seafood rice was pretty good and a very generous portion as well. They offered me a coffee on the house so that was nice of them. I would go back to this place. They have a lot of potential and would be curious as to try other things on the menu. read more

I have ordered from this place several times before because it was decently priced for the food that was served. The last 2 times I ordered the customer service and the food has gone down the drain. I will start by telling you the first issue I had. I ordered the usual that I always get (fish bites for the kids and pasta with steak for myself and my wife and ceviche as appetizer ) all for delivery. I will start with the food. The kids bites were a bit soggy but the taste was ok. The pasta a la huancaina was good but the churrasco steak that comes with it was cold and chewy. The ceviche they served was also good. I always use the 15% off coupon that is printed on their menu but this time the person attending the phone said they no longer accepted these because they changed that. I figured that the order was $70 so I could deal with loosing out on $10 bucks (15%) off. When the order arrived there was a menu (as usual) with the 15% off coupon flyer attached to it. I asked the driver which happened to be the owners brother and he apologized on behalf of the restaurant and promised to give me a 30% off my next order instead of only 15% because of the employees negligence. I thought that was fair and took my food inside. Once inside I opened the food and realized the fish bites with white rice I ordered for my kids had fries instead of white rice. I called and asked if I could get this fixed and the lady told me that I would have to go pickup the rice that she got wrong. At this point I was very pissed off because the reason I payed a delivery fee is so that I didn't have to leave my house but at this point I thought it was the quickest was to resolve the matter and get the food. Once I was driving over the restaurant driver called me back and told me that he was going to come and bring me the rice. I turned around and he got to me very quickly with the rice and they gifted us a dessert for the trouble. I thought to order again today to give them another shot. I spoke to the owner and told them I was the person with the issue a few days back and she said she was aware of what occurred but that they would not honor the discount they promised me. I explained that I thought that was not fair because they didn't honor the discount on the previous order. The owner said that it was ridiculously give me the discount now because they complemented a dessert last time (all of a sudden the dessert wasn't for all the aggravation they put me through, it was apparently to credit me with something I didn't even ask for). She told me that they fired the employee who originally messed up my order and that should be good enough for me. When I tried to explain to her what was promised the previous time she put on the owners brother so he could tell me how what he originally promised was not going to be honored. I explained to him that he was going back on his word and that they would loose a customer because of THEIR error and he said he was sorry to hear that and wished me a good day. How is that for customer service. I tried Another Peruvian place 0.3 miles away and the service and food was significantly better and the prices were the same. I suggest you shop around and go with a restaurant that appreciates your business read more

This place is in a shopping plaza and it was really hard to find! I went at night with some of my friends and they didn't have a light up sign. The sign was on the windows. It is right underneath a banquet hall. There was loud music at the other side and I later found out that it was like a club/bar at the other side. Where I was in the dinner side it was emptier and spacious. When I got there, the waitress was very attentive and helped me out out with the menu. We ordered the tripleta ceviche and I ordered a passion fruit pisco sour for appetizers. The tripleta was just three different types of ceviche since we could not decide. The waitress even recommended a different type of fish to use because she said it was richer in flavor. The upgrade was $8 more but it was worth it. The ceviche was very fresh. My favorite one was the ceviche amarillo. The passion fruit pisco sour was basically pisco sour with added passion fruit juice which was very fresh. The drink itself was VERY strong but it was still quite refreshing and good. We later ordered the seafood paella. I shared with a friend because it was HUGE. I am glad I did. It was very fresh and the right amount of saltiness. We later on wanted desert and got the orange cake. It came out in a vibrant orange and it did not have that artificial flavor which many orange cakes have. Very creamy with the right amount of sweetness. I am very glad I found this place on yelp. It gives a more authentic feel than a lot of the bigger ceviche chains. read more

In a rainy Sunday in Miami I wanted to go try somewhere new but mostly local especially since the weather was bad. After perusing Yelp I came across Atlantic Ceviche House. Its in a strip mall in Hialeah close to Chicos. So after reading the Yelp reviews how could we say no to Peruvian food? Upon entering this establishment the first thing that we immediately noticed was a lack of customers as in none. Never a good sign but we were here. The decor was new and nice with some cool Peruvian art drawn on a wall. The tables n chairs seemed to be older or from another establishment and didn't match the color scheme of the rest of the restaurant which was a little strange also. The back half of the restaurant was also covered by electronics and bottles of a billiard/ bar that connects to the restaurant.So I have been craving a good Jalea for a while now but I always get lomo salteado because its so yummy. So i decided to order a Jalea as an appetizer. There were mussels, shrimp, fish and calamari with fried Yucca. I have to say I really liked the seasoning that they fried this in which gave it an almost orangy but crispy look. Honestly I dislike when u order fried food in another places and it looks like it wasn't fried for more than 3 seconds . It was served with a yummy yellow tartar like sauce. It was so good I even used it on my lomo. I didnt try the ceviche but my 8 yr old said it was good. Yes she eats ceviche.‍ The chicken chaufa was pretty good. I was pretty disappointed by the Beef lomo salteado. This is like the highlight dish of most Peruvian restaurants. The portion was great but the meat kinda of tasted just like unseasoned beef hence why i had to use the tartar sauce. We also ordered a pitcher of Sangria and it tasted as if it was some kind of premade concoction not fresh nor was there any fresh fruit in it which further my suspicions. It wasnt bad but definitely not great. They were nice enough to hook us up with a couple of Mimosas which were good and in a big wine glass . Al in all I would probably come back for the Jalea but Other places like Dr. Limon are probably a better bet. Id give this place 3.5 might be worth checking out if your in the neighborhood They also have unlimited Mimosas for $15 bux. read more

So happy I tried this place. Server was super nice and the food was amazing. I had causa de pulpo and a chocolate mousse.

I haven't had Peruvian food this mediocre in a while. I am Peruvian and have worked at various Peruvian restaurants in the past, trust me don't waste your time or money here. We came based on the fact it had a high rating on yelp but I don't know what happened. The service was slow both front and back of the house. We ordered two smoothies that took approximately 20-25 minutes to arrive. We ordered the causa de pollo, chorlitos a la chalaca and aji amarillo ceviche (fish) as appetizers. Out of the three the causa was the only thing that wasn't terrible and even then they had added cream cheese to the chicken paste which is not part of the original recipe. Both the ceviche and choritos (mussels) were way too acidic they tasted like pure lime juice! For entrees we had the pescado a lo macho and tallarin verde con churrasco, except the waiter for the dishes mixed up and orders tallarines saltados in stead. At this point I was already so annoyed by the slow service, lack of flavor and time that I told her to cancel the tallarines that we would share the pescado a lo macho. I have never tasted such a butchered version of a pescado a lo macho. It tasted nothing like what the dish is supposed to taste plus in the menu it says $18 and in our bill $22. Overall this was a frustrating experience because I could've gone to a much better restaurant for the price. This is the first and last time I come here, I have no idea how this place even has 4.5 stars on here. Definitely don't recommend this place! read more

Quaint little restaurant with delicious Peruvian cuisine. Excellent selection of ceviches. All the classics are featured and a few house creations. Full liquor bar so the great Pisco cocktails are at the Rendezvous and other non Alcoholic ones as well such the famous very sweet Chicha Morada among others. I had the Mahi-mahi, grilled and served with a sweet and sour seafood sauce. "Primavera". A wonderful combination of pineapple, mushroom, panca peppers evaporated milk and (it seemed to me) a touch of cumin, cinnamon and black pepper. This is not a recipe, only what I can relate as I taste the dish. A mildly spicy dish, not too hot not too bland. All those seer, savory and spicy flavors combine surprisingly well and will leave you asking for more. It is a very filling dish however so, if you want to try dessert, I advise to ask for a take out box to take home half of you meal. Highly recommended read more

I've had an ok experience in the past, but I was very disappointed with my most recent delivery. I ordered the fried ceviche and paid the extra $6 for the extra serving of protein (I chose fish). Man, this was a tiny tiny portion. The total for this dish was $21 and I essentially received three small fried balls of ceviche. Very over priced for what I received. The food did arrive fresh, however for the price, not worth it. I've had equivalent, if not superior food for a fraction of the price in more expensive locations as well. I recommend you try a different place if you're craving Peruvian. read more

I really wanted to like the food here but I wasn't impressed with what I ordered. Granted, the food was to-go, but I picked it up in a timely manner. I had order the jalea mixta and the tostones rellenos -- both very disappointing. I've had jalea mixta at various restaurants; you can't mess up jalea because it's literally just fried seafood. Somehow, they did lol. The breading of the jalea was orangey; it almost looked like the coating of buffalo chicken wings. Unfortunately, they did not let it cool before closing the to-go box because the jalea got soggy and rubbery. There was also no signature salsa criolla that usually accompanies jaleas. Next, was my least favorite, the tostones rellenos. On the menu, it says chef choice of meat but I what I got instead was a blob of what looked like tuna salad soup. The tostones were also soggy and whatever "meat" was served on top was supposedly mixed with leche de tigre. I'm Peruvian and I can tell you there was no leche de tigre in the topping. It tasted sweet, almost like relish was mixed in. Aside from that, service was pleasant and I didn't have to wait around for the food to be ready. read more

I went to this restaurant today with coworkers for lunch. The place was mostly empty, just two more tables with customers. We arrived at 12:15 and at 1:25 had to request our food to go because we still had not been able to eat. I had a corvina Ceviche which was not impressive and the lomo salteado has been by far the worst I've had. The meat was not tender, floating in a plate of watery sauce and the rice was undercooked. The fries were soggy. The waitress apologized for the wait. Peruvian Cuisine is one of my favorite, but unfortunately this restaurant doesn't do justice. The only good thing that I can say is that the server was very nice and attentive. The place is divided into the club side where they also serve food and the restaurant side which was empty except for me and my wife. The club side was the opposite--was jam packed, music was blaring and the dance floor was full. It is a mullet of a restaurant--business in the front and all party in the back. It's the Joe Dirt of restaurants. I ordered the trio of seafood ceviche and upgraded to the corvina. Serving size was small, fish was disgusting--was darkish and had chewy cartilage. I could not eat the fish but the shrimp and calamari were okay. Unfortunately there was only one shrimp in each of the three small cups. It cost $36. For that price I could eat at Ceviche 105 and get much better ceviche. Also, it came with a tiny piece of sweet potato. We asked for more sweet potato and the server quickly brought us more. The server recommended the grilled octopus that comes with potatoes. Grilled octopus is one of my favorite dishes. I order it whenever I see it on a menu. After our first bite my wife and I synchronized spit the limp gooey gelatinous octopus out of our mouths. I kindly asked the server to have the chef cook it more. I told her I would like it well done so there would be no mistake as to how I wanted it. The plate came back rather quickly which was rightfully worrisome. Sure enough, the octopus was the same way. It was a slimy mess. Later the server seeing that we did I not eat the $16 plate of octopus said she was gonna to speak to the chef about it, leading me to believe that they would comp the dish. No, that did not happen. Instead the server offered a complimentary dessert. The desserts looked too pretty in the menu pictures and they all consist of round mini cakes with mouse or cheesecake. The dessert was okay but it was not freshly made and likely not even made there--not sure about that. I do know that it was taken directly from the fridge to our table. The food was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Maybe I should have gone to the party side, gotten wasted, and then tasted the food. read more

I ordered lunch from this place in total it was $18 and change for 1 dish including delivery. I don't mind paying that much for lunch if its worth it, this was NOT worth it. The dish was Lomo saltado, the presentation was horrible it came in a black bag. When I opened the carton it was all thrown together messy and unappetizing. The food was not edible it had a strong taste of vinegar and over salted. the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I had asked for two fried eggs on top, my request was ignored. The rice was bland and overcooked. My first impression was terrible. would not recommend will not be reordering. Waste of money read more

I'm in Miami on business. I did a Yelp search for restaurants, and this place came up with 5 stars. As I walked in, I was a little worried because it was empty. I'm so glad I went in! Yoli greeted me, and was very helpful in helping me decide on what to order. I ordered to go, and it was DELICIOUS!! I ordered the Yellow Mix Ceviche dish. I'm in my hotel room, enjoying the ceviche I ordered. It was fresh and very tasty!!! When I'm back in Miami, I'll be sure to come back!!! read more

We revived our food and the taste was whatever and the salmon was over cooked but the flavor was okay. We finished and when we got the check we notice we were charged $20 for the pasta. Normally where there is an up-charge the server is obligated to let the customer know but since this is a bad place, there you go.... My partner was annoyed enough at the establishment that we didn't even bother and just paid and left. But I assure you we won't be back. If you want real Peruvian food don't come here.... read more
