Don't plan on using coupons here. The waitress knew we had a coupon up front but at time of checkout the manager refused to honor the coupon. We will not be back to eat here. It is a pity to loose a customer over $4.50 in coupon savings. We are local and there many other places that have great food and drinks. read more

El Rancho may not look like much from the outside, but the atmosphere is nice and food is tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Solid mexican food, check it out when you get bored of seafood or bbq. read more

We had an unenthusiastic server but the food was very good. I did tacos al pastor which were served with rice and beans. Everything was solid gringo mex. I've had better and also had much worse. read more

Please turn around and leave this dark, heavy-handed, uncomfortable ragged-furniture cave and go to the nearest Taco Bell. You'll get better food for much less money. Wish I could go back in time and undo the $15 I just spent tonight. I've been here before with family, so I knew better. Consider yourselves warned. read more

Ok so im from Ca and this place had the worst service! The server couldn't handle multiple orders n lucky for him his tip was included in the bill. I disagree with all the other reviews. The food was passable I ordered the carne asada plate n the only 2 things which were good was the beans n the tortillas! Ths meat was so bland the salsa tasted like tomato sauce . The margaritas were so watered down it tasted like juice! I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!! read more

The food was less than decent. I enjoyed the chips and salsa though. I would've came back except the fact that the waiter completely screwed up the checks . I was with multiple people and he put us all on one check then REFUSED to separate the checks. read more

The service was horrible and very unfriendly. Last visit to this restaurant. Sauces we're watered down and was just not what this restaurant used to be. My business is close by and came here frequently. Sadly not what it used to be. read more

We visited on Saturday July 11,2015. It was awful. The food had zero seasoning. The refried beans were watery. The rice was dried out. The ground beef was pulverized. We ordered the #22 combination. 1 taco,1 burrito,1 enchilada. When I asked if I could get it made with chicken the server looked at me like I had 3 heads. Then asked if I wanted the burrito or the enchilada made with chicken. I requested ice tea with lemon as a beverage . No lemon was served. She brought chips and salsa with the menus and asked if we were ready to order. The chips definitely came from a bag. All were the same size. The salsa was in pour bottle. Turned out to be a tasteless sauce not salsa. I hardly ever salt my food in a restaurant. I couldn't shake enough on this food. We both gave up trying to eat it and had to find our nonexistent server to get the check. She brought it and walked away. Again had to search for her to pay the check. Never were we asked if our meal was okay. My husband is more accepting of bad service and bad food than I am and he was ready to walk out. Again if I could give a zero rating I would. Bad food Bad Service. read more

We picked up an order for take out. Two entrees and chips and queso dip. Got all the way home and of course no queso dip. Too tired to go back. Called and told them and the response was well just come by later and tell the manager and get one. No apologies , could care less attitude. This is not the first time the service has ruined our dinner . Eat in and take out. Last time this will happen. Won't ever go back! Food is ok but service sucks! read more

The food was ok at best. The portion was small and the seasoning was not very good. The chips were heavy and not warm and the salsa was not spicy and was very bland. The drinks come out in pitchers which i found odd. If i was starving i would go again but i didn't think it was any better than taco bell. read more

It's ok. Over priced and wayyy too Americanized for my taste, but better than any of the other places in this town. It's unfortunate that there isn't a Mexican restaurant around that at least has a section on their menu with real Mexican food, but that is another issue entirely. I've never disliked my food, so it's ok. Beer could also be colder. read more

Friendly staff and very quick at getting the food to your table. It's not the best Mexican food I've had, but it is definitely the best here on the Coast. The ingredients are fresh and the serving sizes are perfect. read more

Customer service is poor. They are so slow to take orders. I did not feel welcomed, and the worker would go back and talk about my friend in front of her. Did not understand what we ordered just rude and slow customer service. Management needs to be more aware of how their night shift is ran...... read more

I was stationed here from 2008-2015. And I legit ate this restaurant at least once a week. Loved it! I don't know if they're under new management or what but I was so disappointed. This was one of the top 10 reasons I couldn't wait to visit Biloxi. This place had the best salsa! Now it's like tomato sauce. The rice was just ok, my chimichanga barely had cheese. The lettuce was bad and you can tell it went in the microwave with the rest of the food. Bland. And no good. The place used to be so clean that you could smell the fabuloso as soon as you passed the bathroom. Nope. Not anymore. It was ok. Our waitress couldn't remember anything about any of our orders. And to top it off- all people in my party of 6 felt "not so good" when we left. I gave them two stars just because of our history. RIP El Rancho. I'll never be back. :( read more

The BEST Mexican restaurant in town! Pollo con quezo, flautas, mojara and fajitas were my favorite food when I was there in MS.

Decided to eat here with my husband out of convenience. We were pleasantly surprised at the décor inside. It was festive and clean. The service was very prompt and friendly and they have a wide selection for food (which was tasty)! read more

The food was bland and tasteless. I ordered the shrimp chimichanga and the shrimp were tasteless. The cheese was horrible, it tasted like they added water to it. My table and menu were sticky and they both smelled like fabulosos. The waiter used the same towel to wipe the seats and table. Today was my first time eating here and my last read more

So Disappointed! When I arrived the sign advertised Taco Tuesday night .99 tacos & $2.50 frozen margaritas. The tacos were less than appetizing - no flavor- & ended up being charged $5 each for margaritas because they were not lime. During dinner the waitress changed the sign to read "lime only". Unbelievable. read more

Service was kinda slow today. I do like that they serve their drinks in mini pitchers I like that. I ordered the #3 on the lunch menu and was not very satisfied with it it came with a burrito, enchilada, and taco wasn't much flavor in it and the hard taco because the plate was so wet basically fell apart. My girlfriend got the fajita salad and same thing not much flavor and the bell peppers and onions we under cooked... read more

I try the fish tacos in every new Mexican restaurant I try. I am usually disappointed. The fish tacos at this restaurant are great! They are not overly complicated, just good fish tacos. The server was nice, the price was reasonable, and the drinks were great. Everything about this restaurant felt comfortable. Did this place blow me away? No, but I would not hesitate to make this place a regular stop when I am in town. read more

food made my stomach sick, they are slow as hell and all the servers are just so slow and just don't really care. Very unenthusiastic and not friendly at all. read more

I just tried this place out with two friends last night. It was pretty tasty, and the pricing wasn't bad at all. The atmosphere is nice, and the waiters are very friendly. I'm not normally a big fan of Mexican food, but I really liked this place. I would recommend this place. :) read more

This used to be great place to go, but it has sadly gone downhill. We ate there a few days ago and the food had almost no flavor at all. About the only spice that I could detect was salt. Also our waitress while she was quick she had a chip on her shoulder about something. She seemed to want to be anywhere but where she was at. I really hope this place turns it around as I used to really love it. read more

this was my go-to mexican place. tucked back next to the likes of academy and twin peaks, it has solid enchiladas and good service. always consistently good and never too busy, it was a good restaurant choice. biloxi is full of mediocre tex-mex and "authentic mexican" that only rivals taco bell- but this place has some good food. you can't go wrong here. read more

ROACHES! Went during lunch time... Sat is in the back of restaurant... Roaches was on menu & back of chairs. Told waitress & she seemed not to care... Disgusted! read more

Cheap, good food. Very authentic food and very large portions. Friendly staff and the restaurant setting is always very beautiful.

Fantastic service and food! Fajitas were great and is enough for 2 people! Love the pitchers they bring your drinks in. Had flan for desert and it was good too. Fast and friendly. read more

I was surprised by the negative comments about El Rancho. We ate there for the first time & found the place very clean & were impressed with the al pastor street tacos & deluxe nachos. The service was fast & friendly & the Margaritas were perfect. We will return for more great food. read more

My family used to eat here all of the time because we loved the food. In fact, we used to eat here every Sunday evening. This was despite the fact, we thought the waiters/waitresses were unfriendly. Eating here came to an abrupt stop when one Sunday about a year ago, my wife and I were eating, and I looked over and saw a large cockroach walking across the floor. We haven't been back since. Then, about a month ago, a friend of ours was eating there and she found a dead cockroach in her food. This restaurant obviously has a bad roach infestation problem and we will never eat here again. My recommendation to everyone is that you either not eat at this place, or if you do eat here, be careful, because you may end up with a roach in your food. read more

El Rancho is exactly what it seems to be: a good, mid-range, family restaurant offering Mexican food. (There is also a full service bar if your taste runs to Margaritas and such.) The menu is very large, and although the waitstaff is sometimes a bit slow, once the order is in, the food comes to the table quickly. My own favorites are the taco salad, fajitas, chimachanga--well, to be honest, I've never had a bad meal here. Recommended. read more

I went here a couple of nights ago and we were very impressed. I am a vegetarian and they had a vegetarian menu! I had the veggie fajitas. I also noticed most entrees were served with black beans instead of refried and that was a nice change. My husband had steak tacos and felt the portion size was great and it tasted great too. Service was superb. We will be back read more

Good to great Mexican food at reasonable prices. Tea and soda are served in pitchers rather than glasses. Ask for Ricardo on the weekends, as he is a wonderful server. read more

We got a to-go order tonight that was horrible! The hard taco shell was so soggy it just fell apart. nachos supreme were the same, I could not scoop up any meat or veggies because the nachos were super soggy. my wife said her food smelled and tasted like peanut butter. i wonder if they use peanut oil? They forgot my Flauta and pico. I called and they offered to replace my order , but I drove a pretty good bit in traffic so I declined. I have eaten inside before and its not bad. I will never get another togo order from here. It was uneatable mush. read more
