Love that they have more hot food items... seafood boils, fried chicken, lumpia, ribs, crawfish and shrimp just wish I was RICH! It was super busy today but wi the the new room it didn't seem as crowded as I'm used to. So that was nice. Found everything I was looking for and more - as usual! There were a lot of carts with items down the aisle making it hard to get around - looks as if maybe short staffed and having to fill shelves when possible. That's also to be expected. Definitely some items are pricey compared to other locations but I try to pick and choose what I'm going for. I want the items I can't get at Food Lion etc. picked up some fresh made Seafood salad today and some pico de gallo and both were great! Can't wait until I can afford to go back an really stock my shelves! They also have mochi donuts now and a spot where they make bobas. Next time!!

If you can get past the smells of seafood and moth balls this place is definitely worth a visit!…read more When you enter, there's a "wall of shame" with images of folks who have stolen from them. Classic. Then you're led straight to their abundant produce section. I stumbled upon fruits and vegetables I've never heard of before and all for a great price. It was glorious! For all you fried chicken eaters they serve the old grocery store Farm Fresh's recipe from their back counter. As well as a fish cutting counter (hence the strong seafood smell) selling a variety of fish. On the opposite end there's a restaurant inside for take out orders, and a home goods shop with various kitchen knickknacks. In the aisles they sell food from all over the world; some with packaging not even written in English. My boyfriend bought the yuca chips to try, and I suggest you do too. They were delicious. The large parking lot onsite is waiting for you.

Growing up in a community where there were Filipino grocery stores left and right, I was a little lonely without one when I moved to Williamsburg. Well the lonely void has been filled! I stopped in on their opening day and have seen them make large strides from then to now! They listen to the community and respond with their whole heart! You can find many of our favorite Philippine staples there and don't need to drive to Newport News or Richmond to buy those necessities. They have them!! And they even have some locally made Filipino dessert!! Be sure to follow their Facebook page so you can stay in touch and see their progress. If you have not visited this Williamsburg Filipino store yet... the time is now!! I definitely stocked up on my lumpia wrappers and need to get my Mochiko so I can make some yummy desserts. Thank you for coming to town 37 North!! Happy to have you here!!

Very clean and decent selections for a small market. Service was great and nice that a baker drops off some fresh Filipino bakery staples on Tuesdays/Saturdays. So we did a search for other Asian food markets and happened to find this one which is tucked away off Warwick Blvd. Would we find any available items to use for cooking on our day off? We were the only customers inside. It's smaller than E-Mart but if you're looking for items to use for Asian foods, you definitely found the right place. Asian music was playing throughout the market and the vibe was so quiet. It's cool when you're only one of two customers with no foot traffic in sight. And we were able to find bean sprouts which were fresh. And to my surprise, they even had Cafe Du Monde coffee up front. Being from Louisiana, one tradition was to head to a Cafe Du Monde spot and chow down on beignets and frozen cafe au lait and sometimes I had hot coffee. I didn't buy any, but it warmed my heart to see it here in Virginia. I know stores carry it nationwide, but maybe I was a bit naive.....ha!! Anyway, we were able to go in and out of the store with our bean sprouts just like that. When in doubt, look for some backup stores. And that's what we did. A small market, but one where you'll find whatever you're looking for. Till next time :)
